Guest
My favourite Bob Dylan song Shadows are falling and I've been here all dayIt's too hot to sleep time is running awayFeel like my soul has turned into steelI've still got the scars that the sun didn't heal There's not even room enough to be anywhereIt's not dark yet, but it's getting thereWell my sense of humanity has gone down the drainBehind every beautiful thing there's been some kind of painShe wrote me a letter and she wrote it so kindShe put down in writing what was in her mindI just don't see why I should even careIt's not dark yet, but it's getting thereWell, I've been to London and I've been to gay PareeI've followed the river and I got to the seaI've been down on the bottom of a world full of liesI ain't looking for nothing in anyone's eyesSometimes my burden seems more than I can bearIt's not dark yet, but it's getting thereI was born here and I'll die here against my willI know it looks like I'm moving, but I'm standing stillEvery nerve in my body is so vacant and numbI can't even remember what it was I came here to get away fromDon't even hear a murmur of a prayerIt's not dark yet, but it's getting there.I first heard this song on the film 'The Wonderboys' (if you havent seen it, watch it; its a great movie with many bob dylan songs in its soundtrack) The song just fitted perfectly with the sequence it was played in, and i have loved it ever since

DYLAN.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>he was convicted of double murder but was actually innocent. He spent 19 years in jail i think. Lost his eye i believe because of it. Shame really.A great book if you want to read about it- 'Hurricane- The life of Rubin Carter'
Rumin
I don't think anyone really knows for sure whether or not Rubin Carter was innocent or guilty. Dylan later stopped singing the song because he began to have doubts about Carter's innocence. Either way, an innocent man was imprisoned for nearly 20 years, or a double murderer is out on the loose. The courts messed up whether he was guilty or not. Just so much energy about him.I think buying a cd is a tie. Chinese Democracy is a special case. I'd trade in all my bob dylan music for that. However Bob dylan is still a much better artist.Disgrace bob is losing this Edited September 2, 2005 by Guest
swlabr
Of course most people here would be Bias and pick Axl. What do you expect? Bob definitely wins.
