Ashlar Posted April 1, 2006 Share Posted April 1, 2006 With Tommy's involvement in the Replacements, could Duff be far behind?not looking through pages and pages to see if someone has answered this or not, but Tommy is just putting down 2 tracks for the boxset, last year (or so) he declined a full on Replacements reunion, and with Chinese Democracy literally just a month or so (don't hold me to it, but i believe it will be here very soon), he won't quit, especially after pretty much wasting 9 years of his talent waiting for Axl.and as for the Slash thing, when was this article from? could it be an April Fool's joke? if it's not and Slash really is out of VR (hope so, they suck) i'd rather see him do a Slash's Snakepit sorta thing rather than rejoining GN'R, it'd make Axl and Slash look like idiots, especially after Slash's countless lawsuits and Axl's rants about the old band on the 2002 tour.that is somewhat true. the VR thing is true. Mind you i do like VR but it just seems like STP with 10x better rhythm guitars. I still think it would blow people away if Axl and Slash did do a small reunion tour. or even if he just played jungle or SCOM with the new band at a couple gigs. As for Slash leaving VR, The article is wrong. There's nothing to back up me saying Slash isn't leaving VR but the one peice of evidance the article gives, that Slash has moved his equipment from the studio is complete bull as VR wont be entering the studio untill April 10th, so basically Slash's equipment wont even be in the studio yet.Also, a statement was released by VR's management confirming that nobody is leaving or joining VR the last time this happened (was romoured slash was going to GNR while Dave Navarro joined VR). Are you kidding me? Tommy used his position with Axl and GNR to get a record deal with Sanctuary. He then proceeded to record, release and promote himself as well as his solo album. Scott prattled on like a high school girl in a statement on VR's website only to have it taken down almost immediately, and Slash has yet to comment. Do the math. - EDIT:I DO NOT believe that Slash is going to rejoin Gn'R - I just believe he made those comments.
