Joe Perry - Rocks: My Life In And Out Of Aerosmith

I was wandering around a big bookstore in Amsterdam last week and I suddenly came across this book. Seems that Joe has released his autobiography without me even knowing. :P

Now, I was wondering, have any of you read it and is it any good? I've read Steven's book which was very interesting but sometimes a bit hard to read because Steven was his rambling self. ;) I'd love to hear Joe's side of Aerosmith as well.

I bought it as christmas gift to myself. I liked it. Even though he is a rock star, Joe comes off as a calm and silent observer. It was nice that the book was about life and music, not partying and drugs like so many other rock autobiografies.

Sounds good! I kind of got that feeling from Duff's book occasionally as well. How's the writing style? Easy to read? Hard to put away? Or are the some parts hard to wrestle through?

I haven/t read.

He did a very good AMA when he was promoting it: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2jjz6j/i_am_joe_perry_guitarist_and_cofounder_of/

Very cool read, thanks for posting!

It's easy to read. I'm a Finn and I read it in English. For me it was a page-turner. It is similar to Duff's book in a way. Both, Joe and Duff, seem to be honest about themselves, they acknowledge the good and the bad in their persona and in their past.
