Slash/Myles & The Conspirators Sept. 22, 2018 Thackerville, Oklahoma

Recommended Posts

I have resisted temptation and may not buy tickets until the day of the show.

That is *if* I decide to travel 2 hours to see Slash at this HORRIBLE venue for a rock show, "The Global Event Center".

The final prices at check out were around $116, $93, $73.

I couldn't check the final prices for the $153 Platinum tickets, because they were sold out.

Is anyone from the Arlington, TX area planning to attend this gig?

Perhaps, we could carpool?!?

I'd like to buy a pre-sale ticket to the Slash & The Conspirators show in Thackverille, OK on Saturday September 22nd.

Unfortunately, I do not have a membership to Slash's fan club.

Would anyone be willing to share their Slash fan club pre-sale password with me?

I am planning to capture audio of the Thackerville show for the community!

I think Slash has his own fan club.
I am having second thoughts about attending the Oklahoma show.

Tickets are too expensive and I would have to buy two.
On top of that, the venue SUCKS!

I wrote this after attending the Sammy Hagar & The Circle show at the same venue last year:

"I would like to advise my fellow music fans to avoid attending shows at the "Global Event Center" of the Winstar Casino in Thackerville.
This venue has a horrible floor plan. The floor is a wide open space with seats crammed in like sardines. The seats at the very back of this large banquet hall room are on elevated bleachers.
We were in floor seats in section B row 12 right in front of the soundboard. I am a thin guy. I must state that being squeezed into a seat for several hours totally sucked.
The Circle concert would have been MUCH MORE enjoyable if it was a general admission event. I don't like smelling or hearing my neighbors at live events!
I would never attend another show at the "Global Event Center" again! Even if the original line-up of Guns N' Roses were performing there!
Seriously, the "Global Event Center" is a glorified dive bar. Avoid it, rock fans!"

Slash will perform in Dallas, Texas in 2019 at a better venue, I'm sure.
I believe I should wait and save my money...

My recording rig is as follows: Church Audio CA-11 Cardioid Mics - > Church Audio Ugly 2 Preamp (Gain setting +15db) -> Sony PCM-M10
I have taped dozens of shows over the years. One of my best is Sin City Illusion II (Las Vegas April 9, 2016).

Jebus, $58.50 for the cheapest seats and $153.50 for the more expensive seats?  Nope, just nope.  If I see these prices if they come to the SoCal area, I can't justify paying that when I recently saw Myles for only $25.00 and that was the most enjoyable show I have ever been to which I feel cannot be topped anytime soon.

At least, the NYC show's prices looks more reasonable.  Only $48.50 + fees for GA.  Plus the venue looks interesting enough. On top of that rooftop in that pier.  Plus it is a new venue.

$50 for GA sounds like a good deal.

Here are the true prices for the Oklahoma show after fees:

Platinum Seating: $175
VIP Seating: $120
Section A: $100
Section B: $80
Section C: $80
Section D Risers: $80

I will wait for a Dallas or Las Vegas date.
I am hoping Slash performs at the LasVegas House Of Blues on New Year's Eve this  year. :)

I once went to a Slash show (Nice, France 2015-07-05)  and the sound was awful, really really bad. I couldn't hear Myles at all, only Brent Fitz was clear in the mix. I started the show at the 6th row in front of the center of the stage, but a mosh pit during the 3rd song moved me to the 2nd row left side (next to Frank Sidoris monitor). All I could hear after that point were the drums and Frank's guitar, I couldn't hear Slash at all. Anyway, I don't remember it as a bad show because I touched Myles' hand, got Slash like 1.5 meters away from me and catched Frank's pick.

Saw him with GNR 2 years later and the sound was a lot better.

The Slash show has been on sale for 36 hours and tickets aren't moving! I think the greedy fucks at Winstar overpriced the Slash gig!

Take a look....

It appears that the only people buying tickets are scalpers!!

I'll wait until the week of the show before buying my ticket.
