What player did you get? I’ve been thinking about getting a record player for ages, but don’t know which to get. I want a quality sound but my budget isn’t huge.

Yeah noticed that too. To me, sounds something like…

“No, just think about this…and where, where to go”

Which I guess could kinda fit the abuse theme of the song, as in Axl wants to escape the abuse but where the fuck is he gonna go?

My money’s on this. The band was getting a new ass ripped on social media for the delay with The General, which was announced on the supposed release date. It was damage control.

I felt sure Monsters would be on the Cd, if only as a hidden track, thus explaining how we got the leak.

Now we now it’s not, that raises the question how Monsters actually leaked. I feel it’s no coincidence that it’s the song we all thought was the general.

I honestly can’t see this band creating something new from scratch. We know S & D would be up for that, but that’s where it ends.

Best we can hope for? An album including the released singles together with some other unreleased CD era tracks.

Tbh, I’d be happy with that.

Personally, I’d be just happy to hear the Bucket/Finck version of Monsters then just wait for whatever new new guns decides to put out

I get that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but personally I love The General. 

The final holy grail for me with this band is hearing a studio version of Monsters with Bucket and Finck.

It looks like these songs were part of their promotion obligation with the promoter. Nothing more, nothing less. Repurposing what’s available and Axl doesn’t have to to do press. They make more $ off of negotiating a deal with live nation to drip these out every leg than what Spotify and some physical sales would produce 

Maybe if they come together to write an album’s worth of songs, it will be different next time
