Just listen to the respons of the audience when Slash starts to play the riff and WillIam introduces Slash --> I don't think I have to say that people loved it (besides the all-time Slash bashers on the internet forums, who rareley step out of their houses)
-
Cried his eyes out because he know he will never get asked to play at the halfftime unless he will reunite with the real GN'R.
btw. haters gonna hate --> just another excuse for the haters to bash Slash.
Ask yourself: Where is Axl? --> Nobody knows, because he is a fucking recluse who you won't see anywhere unless he is playing with is poor coverband, to make some money of the name Guns N' Roses.
Just get over the fact that Slash is nowaday still an icon and gets asked a lot of times to perform with other musicians, be happy about that. That guy wrote the guitarriffs and solo's of the songs which are the reason you guys are on this forum.
-
Sweet Child O' Mine was written by the amazing band GN'R. This "GN'R" has nothing to do with GN'R greatest hits: they are simply covering those songs, so they absolutely don't get credits for the fact that SCOM is still recogized as a monster hit.
-
my god, when you think it can't go any lower...
-
This band is such a joke.
Band?? This ain't a band. This is called the Axl Rose Show.
-
Ok thanks for the answers!
Now I get it why not only the official videos have it, but also some 'audio videos' just like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RRtd4MJpzA (it's simply the audio of the the single version)
-
What the hell is going on with SCOM on youtube???
In every official video the guitar 'verse/solo' is missing ---> the part from 2:32 till 3:30.
-
Funny to see how threads about Slash an co. always reaches way more pages than the threads regarding to the current line-up.
So people still find it interesting, to read and talk about Even the people who constantly bash the old-members.
-
It's just a name
If bono would get rid of the all the other bandmembers an keeps playing all the old songs with musicians who constantly routate, would it than be still U2?

Just for all the Slashbashers:
MusicRadar says: "The public have spoken. Forget the caricature of recent years and think back to the late 1980s – he was dangerous, lean, angry, confrontational, and controversial. The hotheaded, horny ginger stepchild of Steven Tyler and Robert Plant, a born rock star who made being fashionably late a lifestyle choice and started riots in the process."
Forget the balding, top hatted, fat bellied media caricature of recent years and think back to the late 1980s. Slash: dangerous, lean, heir to Joe Perry, full of creative integrity, the best guitar player around
Can't help it that the media says such things. I know it's hard, but swallow it (and I know you don't have any problems to swallow things...)
ps. nobody gives a shit about what you say: you're a joke...
*edit* Forget the balding, top hatted, fat bellied media caricature: I would sware you would be talking about Axl.
Cause simply said: Axl is fat, has absolutely no condition, sings like a woman (nowadays), has hair extensions and has done botox. So please tell me: who is the caricature??
If you've actually heard any bootlegs from this year's concerts, he sounds like he did in '92 or '93.
And Slash is much fatter than Axl, Slash's got man tits, and Slash's whole front of his hairline is all thin, it looks weird.
I'd say Slash is the bigger caricature, since he basically is a cartoon. It's like time never moved on for Slash. It's still 1987. Slash has never evolved musically or aesthetically.
You're kidding? Yes, he sound way better than he did from 2000 till 2006, but he definitially doesn't come close to 92 or 93.
With 'much fatter' you meant 'much more muscles'? And by the way; he hasn't evolved? just listen to 'Slash'.

For the record the only GNR album I can listen to is CD. The old material is good but much better live...PLUS I hate fadeouts!
say no more :krider:
Are you ready to tell me that Nightrain (with a slow tempo and fadeout) on AFD is better than the version that was played in Townsville a couple of nights ago?
Well since you asked the answer is I will take the original AFD over Axl and a tribute band playing it any day........... B)
original band?
$la$h = washed up...gets worse and more pathetic as the years go by
duff = forgot some notes when he played ycbm..has moved on with his life.
izzy = will never come back get over it..never liked touring
$teven =
Axl = never left the band.
Seems like 1/5 originals is stable.....wow what a great band you are wishing for!
You call this a 'band'?? hahahah the name 'the Axl show' will fit this band better. It is just Axl with a bunch of musicians (which you have never heard of, untill they begun in GN'R: and you won't be talking about them anymore when they quit GN'R), who are on a payroll....
You know why people talk so much about the old members / why the old members are asked to do interviews etc.?? Because people are more interested in them then in the current 'bandmembers'.

After all the negative stuff Axl has said about Slash over the years, no wonder a reunion will never happen. Slash will always remain the most popular among the two over them, and I am sure Slash finds it comfortable to mix with other stars, far more so than Axl.
What about the potential Guns N' Roses Hall Of Fame Induction ?
If it goes ahead, Slash will be there. Adler will show. Duff i'm sure will be there. I see no reason why Izzy wouldn't show.
Would Axl dare show his face? how will he deal with it? would he ignore the whole thing? make an excuse? maybe appear via video-link?
If it does ever happen, and Axl don't show, it would to show Axl has no balls.
And what of the hired hands, will they show up? will they be invited?
Dude the current band will perform and get inducted at the HOF. Duff and Izzy will probably play with them also like Jason did with Metallica.
$la$h and $teven won't be there like Mustaine was not present for Metallica.
You're seriously about that? Hahaha what in hell do you think that this current band will get inducted? This band has achieved nothing.... It's only Axl, who is touring on the legancy of the old band and some hired musicians who play for the money.
*edit* On the other hand: after reading your signature, nobody can take you serious...

It must be really frustrating for Ashba and the other 'bandmembers' that journalists are asking them questions about 'reunion rumors'. Cause the journalist are more interested in the old band, than in current members. Nobody gives a fuck about Ashba and the rest.
-
when it was his company and his game giving GNR priceless exposure to the younger generation?!?
Plus the Slash avatar incorporated within the game and in the “Jungle” section further promotes the inaccurate notion that Slash is still a member of Guns N' Roses. Which he is not.
Well according to some the "experts" on this board, GNR is as popular as its ever been, and everybody knows Slash isn't in the band.
In fact, according to some, when people think of GNR these days, they think Ashbaland or KFC Double Down's.
"Oh most people don't know Slash is not in the band".
First, that's not truth
Are you sure? Because CD sold a Gazillion copies, GNR has 5 million friends on Facebook, the tour made bookoo dolllars and everybody and their mother attended.
I think people know whose in the band, man.
No they don't. I think that alteast 50% of the people who go to a GN'R show can't tell you more than 2 names of the bandmembers.
Do you really think that people would think 'ow that's the guitar player of GN'R' when they saw Ashba when he played the national anthem?
-
The 'fun' fact is that if Ashba wasn't currently playing in GN'R, he wouldn't be ask. Why? Because now the could say 'the lead guitarist of GN'R'. People don't give a shit about who he is, because almost nobody knows him.
-
So he wants to get 20million dollar for that? Unfuckingbelievable... When you think, you can't go any more lower...
it's about the money, that's for sure
-
Yeah, "Slash" was a total and complete failure.
You have no life, do you?
-
If they are going to release a new album: then have the balls to release it under a new name, not GN'R (or just simply 'Axl').

Slash told a New York City radio program on October 29 that GUNS N' ROSES would "have to do things way differently than we did" back in their early Nineties heyday if the original lineup was to ever reunite. Slash explained, "It seems like it would be a lot of fun to do, just go back out there, and it seems like a relatively simple idea and there's a ton of fans out there that would love to see it. It'd be cool. But we'd have to do things way differently than we did in '91, '92, '93 and whatever . . . And I don't think that's changeable. That whole production would have to tighten up and be like a real working band, and I don't think that's salvageable."
Slash added that any reunion would depend on singer Axl Rose's willingness to do it, saying, "I know everybody's around, but there has been no conversation, like, 'Let's get the band back together.' If everybody wanted to do it and it was very clear amongst us, (it) means we would have to clean up some personal stuff, which we haven't even begun that."
Slash's comments on the radio show were sparked by bassist Duff McKagan's recent appearance with GUNS N' ROSES — his first in 17 years — during a London gig by the band, at which he played on five songs.
Slash said about Duff's appearance, "It was cool . . . he just sort of kept me posted through the day and at one point he said he was going down to the venue with Axl. And I was, like, 'Wow!' 'Cause a lot of years have gone by."
I watched the Kiss reunion unfold in a similar manner. It all started with Peter Criss showing up with his daughter at an official Kiss Convention.
...just sayin'
A reunion would be great but I think things run a little deeper here with Axl and Slash.......... I think Simmons and Stanley would let Satan play in Kiss if it would make them money...money is not the issue in the case of GnR...........
So do you think that if $100M was offered and Axl said yes, but he might go on late, Slash would say no way?
So you thinks it's about the money? Slash is millionaire and he isn't someone who lives like a playboy (10 cars, ships in sizes of a cruiseship etc...).
He just wants to play the old hits again and does it because he likes to see people having the night off their lives.
-
WTF since when is a bandmember allowed to talk about GN'R plans?!?
-
-
Wow, the $la$h fans have gone off the deep end. $la$h would do this gig in a heartbeat, the only problem is that nobody on the planet would pay him $1,000,000 to perform if Axl wasn't involved
Some people on this forum are unbelievable retared....
Do you guys really think that if Axl has been playing under is OWN name (so just 'Axl') since 1996 and only playing 3-4 GN'R songs at each gig, that he would attract the same amount of people to the concerts / gets invited by a person to play on his private party for 1 million?
Don't need to say more than:
What did Axl do during Superbowl 2011 halftime?
