  1. They have curtains before the walls to prevent the sound from echoing back into the venue.. which is a thousand times better than when you're - for example - in the Heineken Music Hall. The sound in that place is everywhere it shouldn't be.

You're kidding aren't you? Because the HMH is the venue with the best sound of Europe....

btw. bought my tickets for Gelredome! (And definitially don't mind, if the location will be changed to the HMH; cause Gelredome won't sell out and HMH is a great venue)

  2. He always has to get his 2 cents in... then throw in a disclaimer, so he doesn't look bad - " Anyways, I don't keep up with that, I don't follow it."

Or maybe it was because he was doing an interview and the reporter asked him the question.

I agree with Orsys on this one.

I'm not a Slash hater and I don't necessarily disagree with him, but this pisses me off. I don't see why he has to stick his nose into this.

Even if he was just asked a question he can jus say that he "doesn't know anything and no comment"...

Yeah he should just keep his mouth shut. It has nothing to do with him. He doesnt know the in's and out's of the whole thing.

You can't be more stupied than you guys....

An interviewer asked him a question and he just answers it.

What should he else do? Just answers the question like the 'members' of GN'R? Than you can choose between:

    - I am not allowed to answer that question

    - Don't know what the band will do

    - Have no idea

I think (atleast hope) you get my point.

  3. "Irving's a good guy to have on your side"

    - Guitar God Slashman

More like, cheap slut sold out $la$h.

Enjoy paying $10 for every ticket you buy.

Hahaha the only sold out there is, is Axl Rose touring under the GN'R name with a bunch of unknown musicians who change every year. How much guitarplayers have there been in GN'R since Slash departure? 15?

On topic: there are always two sides of a story...

Stupid argument I like both artists but come on, how many people have Slash played with? Right, now to discuss Slash there is a forum down the page check it out :)

It's not a stupid argument when you see that Axl has changed his bandmembers numerous times over the last years under the same name. Slash has also played with a lot of people (different bands and solo records), but always under another name and not using a legandary name to sell tickets, cd's etc.

It's not my intention to bash Axl (I love Slash and Axl both, because what the have done together) I'm just replying to 'RocketKings' amazingly stupid argument.,,,

    alrighty then :shrugs:

    I'm really sorry..... I changed it ^^^^

Your love of Slash has really made you this blind to reality?

A few of you on here are pathetic.

Axl kept the GnR name for financial reasons? Are you all really that stupid? If Axl was in this for the money, then he would have jumped all over the 150 MILLION DOLLAR OFFER for a reunion tour.

HHmmm. He is only keeping the name for the money...........but he turns down a chance for 30 million bucks for a year of work. Ya.....that makes your ridiculous statement make sense.

And let me explain something to you, that apparently has gone over your head.

Anybody willing to pay 75 bucks to go see GnR in concert KNOWS that Axl Rose is the singer and they know that Slash/Duff/Izzy are not in the band now. If anything, keeping the name GnR has hurt Axl, because douche bags like you continually bring it up as a negative. Anybody who is a big enough fan of GnR to buy their new CD or to attend their concert KNOWS that Slash/Duff/Izzy are not in the band.

So stop with the ridiculous comments that Axl kept the name for financial reasons. It is just sour grapes on your part. Slash/Duff and Izzy have moved on....maybe you should as well.

He hates the 'real' bandmembers so much, that he doesn't want to stand on the same stage with them; his ego is to big. But because he still uses the name he can still make a far amount of money from it.

If it wasn't about the money, he would have dropped the name in 1996. Why calling himself GN'R, if he is the only original member?

But than again: I'm not intending to bash Axl or this GN'R (when the come to the Netherlands I will definitially go), but I just replied on a comment

  6. Hi gays.

I joined mygnr in 2004. Bumble joined gnr in 2006. So obviously my history with gnr is much more significant than Bumble's.

Anyway, I can confirm that no one here talked about him before the rumors first surfaced that he had been approached by the GnR camp. I gave Axl my approval to hire him.

In one of his early chats with gnr fans he was asked whether the band would ever play Double Talkin' Jive. His reply was "is that a song?"

    I lol'd.

Exactly, that's all you can say about it.

Nothing personnal, but no one knew or cared about him and he doesn't give a shit on GN'R, he just plays to earn money.

  8. I don't care what anybody says Axl is more Guns N' Roses than the other original members... and he owns the frickin' name he can keep it like that if he wants.

Hmmm, lets see... who was the main songwriter of the bands two biggest hits (SCOM and Paradise City)??? Oh yes, that would be Slash.

    haha lol

You ignorant fuck. SCOM was written by Axl based on Erin Everly and Paradise City was written by the entire band (read Slash's book, it describes how PC was written).

Make sure you can back your bullshit up before writing.

Axl only wrote the lyrics to SCOM. Slash, Izzy and Duff came up with the music.

    Slash wasn't the "main songwriter".

If Slash didn't came up with the intro riffs and guitar solo's on those songs, nobody would have ever heard of GN'R

  9. Regarding the date in Holland; Gelredome is split up in half this year. Rotterdam Ahoy (an arena that holds 8.000 people) is closed for mainenance and they're enlarging it, so every gig that's supposed to be played at Ahoy is played at Gelredome. So GnR playing there makes perfect sense.

    Exactly --> Gelredome XS

  10. June 16 - Arhenm Dome, Holland

    Hope this is true!

But the won't fill it, cause it can handle 30000 people while there were only 15000people at the goffertpark in 2006. Maybe the do the Geldredeme XS.

how the bloody hell do you know they wont fill it, idoit

    just read.... :sleeper:

In 2006 they played t the goffertpark in the Netherlands wich can hold 60.000 people, and only 15.000 tickets were sold. On the 2001 tour they were supposed to also play at the gelredome and it didn't sell-out (it was close to a sell out). But that was the time some people didn't knew that Slash was gone.

How the hell do you think that Axl and co will suddenly sell 30.000 tickets in 2010? Maybe the will sell at tops 10.000 tickets....

really youre just full of shit idiot

You're just as intelligent as a cow aren't you?

  13. Slash isn't on the latest GNR album.

    Neither is Ca$hba. Your point?

Currently touring as a member of the band "Guns N' Roses". Go home.

and is doing wonderful job, surpassing $la$h in talent, and he does not have man-boobs when he takes his shirt off. Ashba>slash.

So far the best joke on this forum in 2010.

Name one thing (a song, solo or wathever) that, that men wrote wich I (or someone in general) knows...

  14. Funny to see that this is the biggest tread on the first page of the news section; a tread about the fact that Slash simple answered a question related to Axl.

Great to see, were people are interested in.

Well Slash has a new album out and is actually doing alot of interviews. And in those interviews he always gets questioned regarding Axl. So, this is pretty much the only thing going on right now in the GNR world to talk about. There's only so many times the GNR setlists or Axl's looks can be discussed. Maybe if Axl did some PR people would spend more time talking about him and his band than Slash.

Righ now Slash is GNR's biggest promo machine. And he's been out of the band for fourteen years.

    You get my point ;)
