- Show some goddamn respect to the fans and don't start 105 minutes to late (22:15 instead of 20:30). Cause some people have to work or go to school the next day, and when the concert is over at 0:50 and the last train has already leaved at 23:45 you're simply screwed.
- And get rid of that fucking solo's, we know that they are technically amazing players, but when the simply can't play with as much as feeling as Slash can (and the can't), than don't do it; they have no value.
Are you serious? I can't see how people still tend to talk about this, everyone knows they go on late. First time I saw them they went on 23:20, and finished about 02:00 at night, no trains/busses etc. But you always get home somehow. They just are like that, I'm glad if they play a great show, even if it's late
Like I said, you are one of the handfull of people who are willing to accept Axl his bullshit. For me it's bullshit. If you act like this you just don't have any respect for the fans. And there were 12.000 fans in Arnhem sunday. And 90% of them just wanted to hear the classic songs and were hoping to feel a little of the atmosphere of the 80's and 90's. Be there on time.

Exactly, it ain't rock & roll anymore. Nowaday, every band plays on the scheduled time (or maybe a maximum of 30 minutes overtime). Axl should appreciate the fact that people are still attending these Axl Rose shows.

You can say that the reviews are "brutal" and "not true", but face it, it's how it is. Only a handfull of people are still thinking that Axl is God and that he can whatever the fuck he want. And maybe he can, but the charme, the roughness and everything I think/feel is GnR didn't fit with what i saw yesterday.
Don't get me wrong, I somehow liked it yesterday. But when that guitarplayer started "sweet child o' mine" people around were saying: That just doesn't fit, he shouldn't be allowed to play that intro. Sounds stupid, but I agree.
Too bad I'm one of those fans who just can't erase everything about the old days and listen with a "fresh" start to the new GnR...

Yes, but those songs are a bit different than for example SCOM and PC: two of the best songs that has ever been written. Almost everybody knows those songs and knows how these world famous guitarriffs sounds and that's not the case with the vocals our bass notes of those AC/DC songs.
Does it fit when you Kirk Hammet plays Thunderstruck? On cd maybe yes, live absolutely not.

I'm really 'sorry''; When I saw Let there be rock I thought that the second song was also from AC/DC, but I mistaked it with Hells Bells.

I know I will get bashed with 'forget the old days', 'Slash has left 14 years ago', 'these guitar players are better than Slash''or with other stupid arguments, but you are damn right.
I said it before in this thread: DJ Ashba has suprised me extremely; he can play the old songs near perfect BUT there isn't a rock atmosphere when he plays the intro's (WTTJ, SCOM as goes for Fortus playing the PC intro), only when Axl begins singing the atmoshpere is coming alive.

Awesome setlist. Was supposed to be at this show, but couldn't because shit decided to happen.
Anyway, hope everyone had a good time. However, the thread starter needs to wind his neck in. Anyone from Mygnrforum knows Axl is going to be late, and to be honest, 2215, was early (for axl), I waited an extra hour in norway. I also prefer that axl goes on late, because it gives people who finish work at like 5pm/6pm enough time to get there shit sorted and head down to the show in good time. And its only the low life students or people who dont have respectable jobs who complain about Axl going on late because they have nothing better to do that afternoon than to sit outside the venue for hours on end, then when someone tips up to the venue at 7 pm also happens to get front row beside the fan who's waited there since 10 am.
Also, Axl shouldn't cut the solo's out because some people, like me, have gotten over slash being in GNR and like to see the ability of the Guitarists in the band. Slash was in GNR 20 years ago, get over yourself...
This ain't the 90's were GN'R were the biggest band in the world. Axl should be happy with the fact that people are still attending these shows and show some respect; you simply can't make an excuse for being almost 2hours over time. If it was an half an hour it wouldn't be a big deal, but it was two fucking hours.
I was home at 03:00 and I had to get up on 07:00 cause I had to go to school (and yes it's a 'respectable' study; Univeristy).
And you really think that is great to see 4 people having their own solo moment of 5-6 minutes? Please....

Does anyone can recommend a way to reach the venue and how to return back to the city center without a car?
I'm traveling to Arnhem by train tomorrow. The last time I saw the band was in New York City back in 2002. Their set will be a bit different this time, with more new songs!
Normaly there will be shutlle busses, between the train stations and the stadion.

You are receiving this message because this email address was used for when the ticket for the concert by Guns N 'Roses on Sunday, October 3 this year was purchased.

Slash gives his feeling when he plays his solo's. The guitarist who were/are in GN'R try to be such as good (and sometimes) better than Slash, so they make there own solo's and basically play faster just to look good.

Sunday I will go to the concert of GN'R in the Gelredome in Arnhem, the Netherlands. But I was wondering which t-shirts they sell at the concert.

I hate to say this, but besides about 25 people on this forum, nobody really cares if there is an official picture of the band or not. There are a lot of bands that I like, but I couldn't tell you the name of every member of the band.

if axl gets the terms he wants, it could happen. i think this new 2010 line up is more a hobby than anything. the bucket line up was axls chance to bring back gnr, it didnt work out. i think he put cd out to see the process thru, and now he is just going thru the motions. if we ever get an ashba/ron gnr album ill be f-in shocked. i think this new crew has a short life expectancy. which would leave 2013 looking pretty good. slash & co would have to make some huge concessions to make this happen and i dont think they will.
and i dont blame them.
Why does it always have to be Axl' way? Why can't he be the one who will compromise?
