Okay a yearly booster shot for covid has been approved for people 12 and up. Hope my doctor has it. Not surprised it'll be like the yearly flu shot.

Yeah you better hurry, I'm sure there'll be a real run on those boosters.

And I'm like, "That's funny because everyone always villainized Axl for stopping shows, jumping into the crowd to stop violence, etc (To protect the fans)...and these guys could have done that....yet they didn't." (And people ended up getting hurt, hospitalized, etc).

And most of these guys still have good reputations while Axl is still villainized for being "crazy" back in the day - yet - in reality -  Axl did the right thing back then - but was criticized because of it.

    Ironic.

You forgot the part where Axl jumped into the crowd to attack someone that had the audacity to have a camera.

I don't think Fred Durst has that great a reputation, to be honest.

I don't think Fred Durst has that great an anything

I've joined a weight loss group, I eat healthier, I eat less, I don't use oil to cook, I cut excess fat of meat cuts, and I walk around 11 miles a day 6 days a week. And I also don't drink alcohol and only drink sugar free drinks or water.

So, take all enjoyment out of life. Just say that.

Read today that patients that are in the ICU due to covid are not vaccinated. I don't know what it'll will take for people to realize they need a vaccine for this virus?

A higher than 1% mortality? Lower instance than 30% asymptomatic infection? I dunno that's just me.

Judaism sure doesn’t mind fucking up a kid’s bellend. 😂

On a lighter note, the new Mission Impossible film is shooting just outside my office at the moment.  No big deal.

Ironically that's something Jews and Muslims have in common. And yet so much hatred between the two.

Heat in Texas is still terrible. Over 100 degrees for over 3 weeks straight now.

They are putting some stuff down on the streets to cool the pavement. Not sure how that works. Staying inside right now is the best solution. Feel bad for the outside workers.

Not sure when it'll break? We have to get through August. Thank goodness all the schools are central air.

Unfortunately Dallas has had some deaths due to the heat. Just terrible. If you stay outside too long, you can't breathe

Shouldn't Texans be used to the heat by now? Sure, 100° isn't pleasant but I'd think you've seen it before. Also, every time there's a heat wave, there are the occasional deaths from old people too crazy to actually use their air conditioning.

Yeah, people care less because of various reasons, including fatigue, being vaccinated, new variants being less deadly, etc. So cases rise because of this but deaths not so much for many of the same reasons.

That's sure a drawn out way to say "nothing to worry about anymore."

Compared to other common contagious diseases.

That's very selfish and immature of you.

What sounds selfish to me is vulnerable people thinking the entire world needs to shut down to stop the spread of a virus that only hurts them. None of us can live our lives because the frail might catch the disease?

    "COVID is not that lethal"

1%. It's just happens to be super contagious. Also, let's see a chart broken down by age.

  9. 13 hours ago, SoulMonster said:

I think a contagious disease with such a high lethality is a concern to all of us. Even if we are unlikely to die from the disease ourselves, we probably know someone who could and none of us wants to be part of spreading the disease the someone who dies from it. That doesn't mean we should be terrified about it, as you said something about earlier, just that we take measures to protect ourselves and others, as good human beings do.

I'd love to hear what you consider high lethality. Because COVID isn't it. Particularly these new bitch ass variants.

I have susceptible family members, I stay away from them if I feel so much as a sniffle. That's all I'm doing. Masks, lockdowns, 15 boosters, fuck off with that shit.

  10. 41 minutes ago, SoulMonster said:

Except that they do, of course, which is why people die from the variants.

Susceptible people die from a lot of diseases that aren't a concern to most.

  11. 15 hours ago, SoulMonster said:

This is of course wrong. The vaccines offers protection against severe symptoms caused by the virus variants, too.

Pretty easy to say that when the variants don't cause severe symptoms. But you enjoy being terrified forever.

School begins here in Texas on August 8. I'm not sure if they will require masks since the moron Abbott said you don' t need them.  Who knows who is vaccinated and who isn't. Texas won't ask. I do hope my child stays well.  It's hard enough starting middle school and then have to worry about covid.  It never seems to end.

You should probably keep your kid home then if it's such an important issue for you. Vaccinated people are still getting the virus left and right, and the vaccines don't seem to do shit against new variants. New variants which seem to wreak such havoc as mild cough, fever....and that's about it. You are free to self impose a lockdown on your family, the rest of the world decided it was enough of this shit and get on with their lives.

I cheated by using the rewind feature! :D

Pussy. I've come within a minute of world record on that game. No idea how to shave a minute off my time though.  I've played that game A LOT.

So the fourth shot turned out to be the roughest.

It was 24 hours of a really sore shoulder/arm, to the point where I really couldn’t move it without a lot of pain.  Then the fever hit me later in the day and I started to feel nauseous and dizzy.  So essentially a day crashing on the couch passing out to old episodes of Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Woke up this morning with a slightly sore shoulder but now feel fine.

That sounds more severe than my brother's family who all just had COVID for a second time. He said it was no worse than the common cold at this point.
