Steven's intro to the song is similar to the final version on the Record. I gues Matt just made a few changes, but the drums on the track were already done by Steven. Like they said this song was done in the AFD Era.

But Steven didn't appear on the final record for YCBM

Try serving almost 20 years here. I signed up when I was staying over at my grandparents' house when I was 15 - they had Internet access, which I didn't have at my family home. I've got several real-life friends whom I met here.

i feel old :( I've been here 17 years.....which when you compare to the history of the band, if 1986 was year i joined it would now be 2003. So i've been on this board longer than the band was active in it's prie and the 2001/2 years :(

In Axl's defense, Night Train was written when he was like 25. In 2002, he was 40. He wasn't the same  Rebellious Hellion at 40 as he was at roughly 25. So I'm sure he lost a lot of the raw, aggressive, passion he had for Night Train as a 40 year old roughly Middle aged man.

That makes no sense. The 2006 performances are the best of all time. Rock AM Ring, rock In Rio, Download Festival are 2 of the best ever. So how can they have more aggression and power if Axl is older still?

Since I was a kid I loved Halloween. Even before Covid not many kids would come around.  I still decorated up until last year and had bowls of candy but no one showed up. this year I just put Halloween flags outside my home. I always have candy, so if anyone shows up, that's cool, I'll be ready, but I doubt.

Living in Texas I realized they don't love Halloween the way kids do in New York. Sad. It's a really fun holiday.

I'm taking my kids trick or treating for the 1st time this year. Am a tad excited myself

Somehow Axl always manages to pull Nightrain right and it is a highlight in the show. I think with duff/slash it improved more because of their "feel" for songs like that. I don't know but Nightrain is my favourite GNR song 😎

There are plenty of sloppy Nightrain performances from Axl over the years (not just 2016-) vocally 2002 was terrible.

I'm not overly familiar with the reunion performances but Coachella, and Rio are firm favorites

Did she ever really address all of that? She sort of just left, I think she posted when Weiland died and that's it

No, after Axl called her out she was removed from the mod team and never really responded to his claims. She still visits every so often with the odd post now and then.

Dust n bones is one of the rare Guns N'Roses songs where Axl sings backup on most of the song rather than lead. 😀 He let Izzy shine as Lead Singer on this song. 😀 At least one Website says something like

    Original Guns N'Roses lineup is.

    Vocals. Axl

    Drums. Steven

    Lead Guitar. Slash

    Secondary Guitar. Izzy

    Bass. Duff.

I remember thinking,"According to this website, Axl is the ONLY Singer in the original Guns N'Roses. That can't be right as there are clearly multiple Singers in Sweet Child Of Mine bridge( Where do we go now?" Part). No way is Axl doing all the singing in that part. 🤨

Other Websites list Izzy and Duff as vocals too which made perfect sense. 😀

Izzy sings lead on several songs. Same as Duff.

  9. Ok question for you. As we get older, do you listen to some of the music you did like 10-15 years ago and think 1, why did I like it so much and 2, those lyrics mean something completely different to me now than they did back then?

I've been listening to The Unforgiven by Metallica today for 1st time in a few years and probably 1st timw since I had kids. The whole song seems so different to me now

I can not imagine, sitting there as a judge who just had his breakfast and finished reading his newspaper, then for their next assignment condemn someone to death

I guess it's like with people working at slaughterhouses killing animals on an assembly line.

you need to be a special kind of scumbag to be willing to do any of those jobs

"Hi honey, how was work today?" "Great, darling, sentenced two people to death"

it's all good and well, being enraged and pompously advocating the death penalty for certain crimes, until you actually decide on life and death of a living being.

The moment you do that, you become a lost cause; your soul is forever stained with the guilt of murdering someone. No amount of bourgeois-socialism can ever take that away

In that instance, who actually is to blame for the death sentance? The judge who orders them to death, the person who signs the death warrant giving them 30 days to live? The people who administer the drugs/flip the switch? It's not exactly clear cut.
