Like most songs from CD, the majority of the crowd weren't interested.

CD is not my favorite song, but it seems to work as an opener. Aside from that, and maybe TIL or the blues, any other CD songs should be dropped.

So using this logic, and the fact that Axl Ruined the band "to move in a new direction" he should drop the replacements and get back together with Slash and Duff. I mean if you want to hear all the old material, lets at least hear it by the people who were responsible for it

I think people resent the way he runs his site. Also, I think there is some jealousy towards him too. The hatred is silly, though. If you don't agree with how he runs his forum, don't go there. You lose nothing by doing that as there are plenty of other free GN'R forums and his is free as well. The minute you stop posting there is the minute how he chooses to run his site ceases to affect you.

I dont think its jealousy at all. Its your 1st point. You cant go on that site and have a discussion. If you want to hear new music, you are told that Axl doesnt owe you anything?????????????? I am not sure whats wrong with fans wanting to hear music from their favorite band. If you say anything negative at all, he jumps all over you. You cant question the set list, the late starts, talk about slash, duff, etc. Its basacally just a place to go say thank you Axl, you are the best and everytthing you do I agree with, blah, blah blah.

This topic proves that most of us are tired of this re-run tour promoting nothing. Every time there is nothing to talk about, these start: 1) do you like axls clothes? 2)what if he died in 1994? 3) Do you think Axk is happy? 4) what does he eat for breakfast? and on and on. Its kind of funny and sad at the same time. For years we couldnt wait for the new CD and tour. Well, it came out with not so many fireworks as we all thought it would. It wasnt really a "success" when you think of how many songs actually play on the radio. Now we are all going to see the "chinese D." tour for the 1456th time and its still the same setlist give or take a few songs. We kept hearing that Axl wanted this new band to move in a "new" direction, but all we get is 80% old music.

The record didn't do well because Slash kissed people's asses to the point they wanted Chinese to fail..

I am a Dj, and I am in complete control of what's played on the radio. I play what I think is good and legit, Chinese isn't played because Slash isn't in GNR, he's done interviews with these Dj's whereas Axl hasn't, so they're biast against Axl.

I asked Rainman from Krock 100.9 WKRL if he'd play Chinese and he refused to play the song after he did the first time because Slash wasn't in it, and cuz he claimed the song wasn't good. The guy loves slash and didn't want to play a record because he too wanted the record to fail to put pressure on Axl to reunite with the old band.

Your thinking is sort of correct. The record is not that well received because Slash did not play and have a say in the songs. But to think he "kissed ass" and that is why people dont like it? hahahahahahahahah

Us as real gnr fans should let axl release music in his own time, whats the point of listening to unfinished music its like buying an unfinished piece of art so please im asking you no more leaks. Be patient, its coming.

sorry buddy, but i am a REAL fan just like you. and as a fan, i want to hear new music. Songs leak every day, it doenst stop any other band from releasing an album. Heres an idea, dont take 16 years to release it this time. But i will be listening to any new music that hits the net.

Yeah, these 2 probably will perform along with Duff in some form at the ceremony. But I'm not interested to be honest, and I hope Axl stays away from this, especially as Izzy isn't interested either.

My favorite band is getting inducted to the HOF. The lead singer BETTER be there. Axl does know what the right thing to do is, that is why he WILL be there. It may be cool to ACT all rock and roll, but at the end of the day, you do what is right for the fans. If izzy wants to be a jerk and not show up, thats his problem. I dont thinking asking a group of guys that are nearing 50, to sit together and walk up on stage to accept an award is really asking that much.

How come no one has asked Axl about the RRHOF? He was asked once but not recently. I wonder what he would say?

???????????? Axl had talked about it when asked. He said he really doesnt care, but its a big deal to the fans, etc. Unless the interview was fake, but its been on here many times already. I really think they will all be there. (the originals from the afd and uyi) albums. I think it would be really cool to see them play a few songs, but i really expect them there. Fans make a bigger deal of the fued btw axl and slash, but its been so long and they are middle age men for crying out loud. I am sure they talk more than any of really know. 2 of the biggest names in rock, and they made their name together. They know that, and so does everyone on this board.

This post makes no sense? how is Axl "hoarding" something that is his? I dont post much, but i read almost every day. People get themselves all worked up over stuff and they have NO IDEA what they are talking about. I read people saying "cant wait to hear the general and atals shrugged, those songs are going to be great, epic" How in the world do you know? what are you basing it on? Those may be the 2 worst songs ever written for all we know. I will agree, it seems kind of strange to still be touring an album that came out 5 years ago, and keep revisting the same places and keep playing the same set list. They sound great, but lets move on now. If we never get another new note, they will always be my favorite band (mainly the original), but the new version is pretty good as well. I appreciate his voice and music and am happy to hear it when i can

I didnt hear it, so I cant comment. All i can say was he sounded GREAT in youngstown, Ohio. No complaints

The band has such a confidence about it now, it's amazing! They are even starting to make certain songs their own. Awesome. But, there are people standing 10 feet from Axl just nodding thheir heads??!!!

Wtf do you want them to do? I paid goodf money and was up front. The last thing i want to do is push and shove idiots. I want to see and enjoy my favorite band. Dont mistake big outside festivals with indoor shows. I was at youngstown, every one was having a great time, so i really dont know what the point of this thread is?????

What a stupid thing to say. He is the lead singer of that band who's music got them in. I hope they all show and give the majority of us what we want to see, The greatest band back together, even its just for that 1 night.

I've been thinking about this lately, When most bands tour many of the fans want them to play their classics. But it seems like with *most* gnr fans we all want at least 1 new song. Whereas most people seeing other bands could care less if they even heard about a new album, let alone hearing new music.

And another point (completely off topic) but I've seen alot of people saying things about "hopefully ashba can give axl that extra boost to help him get a new album out" If anyone can do it, it is ashba. I know this is going to sound EXTREMELY petty, but with ashba being from Monticello,Indiana (about 30-40mins away from Lafayette,Indiana) I think Axl feels a real connection to him, it has been said in the past that Axl would show favoritism towards people from Indiana, especially those from around Lafayette. Where maybe he has worked with more talented people, I think people really discount the "back home" attitude, no so much towards lafayette, but artists who come from the area.

I think with this band, people want to hear more new stuff because this is a NEW band. If it were up to me, i want the original up there. (at least slash, duff, Izzy and Matt or Steve). All we heard was Axl and Slash wanted to go in different directions. Well, if thats REALLY the case, lets hear it. If Axl is going to play 75% old stuff, than I want to see the guys who made that stuff what it is. If the group i mentioned was on tour, new material would really not be an issue, and i belive it would be more welcomed by the majority. Either way, I will be at the covelli show in youngstown having a great time.

I wonder how this market is going to sell. They were only getting about 45-5500 people at the Q in Cleveland (for the 02/06 shows I went to), which is basically the same market. With Youngstown being an even smaller market, I have to wonder how prudent it is to play there if they could only get a 1/3 of an arena in Cleveland (which is right next door).

I disagree. I live really close to this place. All shows sell quite well there. The place is the size they really should be playing as this line up will never sell out the Q or any othe arena. I am not saying that as a slam on this line up, its just that most people in USA (not on these boards) really want to see slash, duff, etc. Every seat is pretty good here and you really are up close and personal. I will be there for sure!
