This is besides the point but I'd argue videogames are the most collaborative art form but other than that yeah I agree with you, as usual. I don't think I've ever not agreed with you actually...and you're an Aussie!?

    Yep 🤣❤️

Errr...I wouldn't sweat it.  From the looks of it, Weinstein won't be taking in a lot of money where he's headed.

His projects though, support a myriad of other people - actors, directors, producers, crews and everyone else that worked on any project he is affiliated with.

That's why "canceling Weinstein" doesn't make a lot of sense, imo.    He's already "canceled" himself; so all you might be doing is hurting the people that worked on his projects - some of which, are his victims.

Yes, by "canceling" Weinstein, you could likely be doing more harm to his victims, than Weinstein himself.

Just an educated guess.   @Angelica would be the person to talk to about this, imo.

    Thanks 🤣

Trying to cancel or erase cinema (the most collaborative art form there is) because someone problematic worked on it is just fucking stupid. It’s book burning level stupid.

I respect the rights of anyone to *personally* vote with their wallet and not support projects based on the people involved but that should be the end of it.

Don't blame me mate, it's not my fault he was down to his knees, I'm just relaying information   I imagine that'd be a difficult one to pull off to eh, if you'll excuse the pun, how'd you swing that with a bird, 'yeah, uh, my mates gonna watch and wank, alright?', Bud's game must've been WAY fuckin' strong, thats like Goldie from The Mack levels of mind control

What I wanna know is, what the fuck was the tranny doing up on the roof?  I have this imagine of RuPaul with twisted ankles, high heels jammed in the guttering laying fuckin' tiles  I don't think I've ever seen a tranny roofer.

    So naive...🤣

You'll like this, he used to love to watch and wank.  It was one of his favourite pastimes.  'In those days I was pumpin' so much peter, whoooo boy!'.  With or without consent, which would might change the tune of a few if they made mention of it on social media, what with #metoo and all that gear. Anyway he was great mates with Buddy Holly who, apparently, had a massive cock.  Like freakishly massive.  I mean I weren't there with a tape measure in the fuckin' 50s but by all accounts he was a human tripod.  And moreso than like, shagging himself (which he did much more than his fair share of as well) one thing that Rich LOVED was to watch Buddy banging other birds.  Like specifically his cock pumpin' em.  When Buddy couldn't get the bird to consent to letting Rich watch and wank it became quite tricky because they had to angle themselves just right so Rich could cop the very specific eyeful that he wanted to and get his kicks.  But a lot more birds were accomodating to the notion of having Rich watch and wank than you might think.

There have been rumours about Ed being a bender for more than a while y'know.  Ed the tranny rescuer.  Ed the rescuer of trannies who then mysteriously fall off their roofs

    3:15ish. For reals. 🤣❤️

And really openly and ragingly tutti fruitti too.  His influence can be seen in the iconography too, in Prince or Jimi’s look, in Mick or James Browns (who got his start as a Little Richard impersonator) or Elvises jumpsuits.

Absolutely and ragingly 🤣 ESPECIALLY in Prince’s aesthetic ❤️🤣 as a white cisgender I don’t feel free to judge but it’s a valid question and I’m good with John Waters (lovingly) doing so

It's amazing to think how controversial rock n' roll was in American society at the time. For those early guys, even just breaking through the social barriers to be heard was an incredible achievement - what was seen as subversive and distasteful by many traditional institutions at the time has now become a revered tradition in and of itself, recognised for being innovative, raucous and joyful.

    Rest in peace, Little Richard.

Especially for a Tutti Frutti black dude ❤️

Everyone from Dylan to Page to Jagger has acknowledged they don’t exist without him but this has so far been my favorite tribute - https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/john-waters-little-richard-996961/

Really underrated film, kinda improbable storyline but very well acted, Tupac was a magnificent actor in general, at very least the greatest rapper that ever acted, which ain’t saying much as they are generally shite and at best slightly above average, Tupac was just brilliant at it though...and the more he took roles outside of his type (which he rarely got the chance to do, this and Gridlock’d basically) he showed how brilliant he could be.

Gridlock’d is a fantastic little film.

Ishtar  - it’s not THAT bad (although to be clear, it’s not good). That I have an inordinate amount of affection for everyone involved certainly contributes to my tolerance for it.

The Last Seduction  - such a nasty, vicious little gem. Absolutely one of the best films of the 90s (that would never be made today).

If the death numbers in China are correct, does it mean white people are more likely to die from the disease? Or has the virus mutated into a far more deadly form?

What else could be an explanation?

That open western societies are far less likely to take government directives as seriously as people are in countries like China? I wouldn’t trust the Chinese government about shit but I suspect that this is where the truth lies.

It’s happening now in Australia, a large segment of the population  are ignoring the guidelines, largely on ‘principal’, becauee we’re not used to being told what to do and we don’t like it (however insanely stupid in this instance).

  9. Australia so fucked. Most of Sydney operating as usual and we just let a 2000+ passengers disembark from a cruise ship before getting the results of handful of people showing symptoms. Turns out they were positive. 🤦‍♀️ Cinemas, bars, cafes, restaurants still trading. Malls open.

There's a swell of people who hate the elites in our country that much, lol man I don't know what else I ca tell you. If Trump was actually genuine, that would have been cool, but he turned out to be a complete conman.

But he is and always was an elite. He always was a conman.

  11. Rewatching Alias. I’ve watched the pilot multiple times as I’ve frequently citied it as arguably the GOAT (of network pilots of its era). And although it goes kinda pear shaped at the fourth season (which is not so coincidentally when creator J.J. Abrams was debuting Lost),  it’s still kind of awesome. Like, there’s a reason everyone from Tarantino to David Cronenberg to Ethan Hawke, to David Carradine to Faye Dunaway etc we’re eager to play in this particular sandbox.

I watched that Galaxy Quest doc you mentioned and liked it a lot.

I'd heard about the Ronstandt doc but haven't watched it yet.

As far as Bombshell goes... If I just want to know more about the story, would you recommend I watch that The Loudest Voice instead of Bombshell?

Definitely watch Loudest Voice if you’re interested in Ailes and the overall scandal(s).

It’s super awkward that TLV manages to make Ailes a fully realized human being (albeit a dumpster fire of one) better than Bombshell can flesh out Megyn Kelly. Having her the centerpiece is also a weird choice IMO, as Gretchen Carlson was the driving force behind his undoing. And her story is much more interesting and better done in TLV.
