Probably just the vinyl since I don't own any pressing of it yet. That box set is one of the tackiest things I've ever seen outside of the actual vinyl and some of the lithos though.

What the fuck did I miss here? No way I'm going through 72 pages to find out.

This band needs to make some new fucking music already. 15 second clips, that are most likely fake, of songs that are almost two decades old is just sad.

Backspacer got me into Pearl Jam. Amongst The Waves is nice.
Remember Tomorrow by Iron Maiden.I think it has a handful of decent songs (The Fixer is a guilty pleasure, Amongst the Waves and The End are favorites too), but not much else. As an introduction to them I could definitely see it working though - sometimes it's good to start with an album that isn't mindblowing so that everything you listen to next is better than the last.

Pearl Jam - Backspacer
To be honest it's as lame as I remember. I got so into Pearl Jam for like two years, then this shit show of an album dropped and then the next one wasn't any better. Each one took 4 years for them to crap out a half hour of half-hearted pop rock/vaguely punk tunes too.

I saw one of the final Dillinger Escape Plan shows last Wednesday and it was easily the best show of my life. Mike Patton did a short set with them where he performed their collab EP, then the band did a normal set with their regular vocalist. I've never, ever been in such a wild or violent crowd and I loved every fucking second - crowd surfers coming every few seconds, band members jumping into the crowd (or off the second floor balcony into the crowd for the last song), me and a couple others holding up a chair that the guitarist used to crowd surf. And of course, at the end of the show, I left the venue to see someone in an ambulance outside. If GNR used to be the most dangerous band in the world, Dillinger easily took that title from them years ago. It sucks I couldn't go to the very last show, but I got to send off my favorite heavy band in style and made a ton of great memories.

Brockhampton - Saturation III
This shit is great. Check out the lead single Boogie. -
Honestly, not really. I can tell Sorum apart from the rest because his sound is so big and reverby, but otherwise I've never noticed much difference. Pretty much anyone with a decent sense of groove can play GNR songs on drums.

It's cool that they're playing so long, but I did feel a bit of fatigue by the end of the show when I saw them in Hershey, especially with so many covers. I'd be happy with it around two hours or so, the covers are a bit over the top when there's so many great songs of their own they could play. And shorter sets would mean less wear on Axl's voice, too. But hey - I paid a lot of money for my tickets, so at least I got a lot of value for my dollar!

Watched this before and got more emotional than I expected to. Talk all the shit you want about LP, but for us of a certain age, their music soundtracked our adolescence whether we sought it out or not. And they were pretty damn diverse musically, too.

I honestly think he got on some sort of antidepressant. His tune changed drastically around the time he started gaining weight - suddenly he was showing up on time for shows, not going on rants between songs, patching things up with old band members, and coasting through songs like he has no investment in singing them. But hell, if that's the case, at least he's found some peace.

I read a post on another forum I visit just yesterday about that album but didn't have time to check it out. I think I'll do that tonight...
It's a dark one, so be ready for that.

I've only ever seen one band do an album in full, and it was last year when Brand New played The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. Easily one of the best shows of my life right there, because that album is one of my all time favorites and really strikes a lot emotional nerves for me. Singing along to it word for word in an arena full of thousands of people was transcendental.

His solo stuff doesn't really make me feel anything, i don't hate it but i don't particularly like it. Listening to music i wanna feel some emotion (anger, sadness, joy, excitement), i want it to grab me and slap me around the face whatever it is, Izzy's stuff just kinda ambles along.
Exactly man. It's just sort of there for me.

Give his records another spin, I can't believe that a GNR fan can listen to Izzys records and not find at least a few songs to enjoy
I did back in the height of my GNR obsession and even then they didn't do much for me...a few good songs here and there, but most of it struck me as middle of the road bluesy rock.

He's a great rhythm player, and was hugely important as a songwriter back in the day. But if his solo output is any indication, he hasn't been an interesting songwriter in decades and isn't important to the band now.

Just recently got NIN's The Fragile reissue and it's beautiful. It's a 3LP beast with a tweaked tracklist and comes with a mini-making of magazine along with the standard lyric inserts. Sounds amazing.

Death Grips was fucking deafening in 2015. Even with earplugs, the screams and some of the audio effects cut through like a punch to the gut.
-
QOTSA - Villains (Already heard the leak and dug it, but the quality is awful and I'm waiting to hear it the way it's meant to be)
Weezer - Pacific Daydream (the last two albums have been good, hopefully this one is too)
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Luciferian Towers
Circa Survive - The Amulet
Mastodon - Cold Dark Place
Death Grips - TBA
