I'm buying 63 copies.
Okay, seriously tho...
Why buy more than one? You can always make a copy of it if you like. If your original gets destroyed (or stolen like my AFD has been three times), you can buy another one. You do realize that this CD will be available in a few years to buy? Maybe you don't....
Because these are mad people who feel the need to boost the profile of the band by artificially forcing the album up the charts. Why are they mad? Because they're planning to spend their hard-earned boosting the coffers of a multimillionaire rock star...

My attitude is, if it leaks early, I'm downloading it. I've waited too long for this, and, y'know, I could be run over by a bus the day before the album goes on sale. But I'll definitely be buying it too, and no true GN'R fan wouldn't.

GNR + SNL= ?
in 2006
Those of you in the UK might be interested to know that ITV4's snapped up the rights to broadcast SNL 2-3 weeks after it airs in the US. Hopefully GN'R will appear on the show!

I'd much rather see CD. So would 99.99% of fans on here.
I'd love to hear the re-recorded AFD though. Saying this, after what we've heard of the new stuff and what we've seen on tour, other than Bucket's solos I'm not so sure it would as radically different as some would like to believe.
Bucket didn't play on it though; it was recorded in 1999, with the Finck/Huge/Freese/Stinson lineup.

So, in the UK CDs normally come out on Monday; will us Brits be getting Chinese Democracy a day before the States?
SG
-
I could see them ditching WTTJ in favour of Chinese Democracy as an opener; that "teasing" intro Robin does is very similar. Indeed, I suspect that CD is going to be the opening track on the album.

Axl sounds a bit... whiney in his little rant. Mind you, I suppose he had reason to. Ron... fucking legend, stepping up to the plate like that. They should let him sing a couple of songs on CD, 14 Years-style.

In the Rock Am Ring version of Nightrain, it's almost like Brain cuts Ron off with his drum break. As if he's going, "Right, that's enough titting around on the guitar, time to end the song..."

Hah. Terrorists, my arse. We cancelled all those flights to keep Axl over here. He's ours now...

Here's an interesting thought... when you get CD, will you listen to all the tracks in order, or will you be unable to resist the temptation to skip ahead to, say, Madagascar to hear what the studio version sounds like?

You guys going to the other UK gigs should make up a banner with a message of support. I would, but... well, I'm not going. Anyway, I hope his dad pulls through okay. Talk about extremes of emotion; you get picked to play in the rock comeback of the decade, and then this happens...

He's brilliant. If there's one thing I find a bit sad, it's that we'll never get to see him sharing a stage with Slash; I'd love to see those two bouncing off each other...

WHO CARES.
"M. Shadows" and Avenged Sevenfold are garbage.
M. SHADOWS?!! HAHAHAHA
What is it? Mark Shadows? Mike Shadows? What a dweeb.
Yeah, that "W. Axl Rose", eh? What a dweeb...

I'm more worried that the e-mail I got from GetLive seems to think there are standing tickets available, and the ticketmaster site disagrees. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait in line tomorrow morning...

Excuse me, but I ask these questions at the same time. Can someone explain to me the meaning of CITR?
And what it has to do with Brian May (cool rumor though )? is CITR a cover or what? Is it about May?
Sorry...
The title comes from the book by JD Salinger; the song's about the shooting of John Lennon (the guy who shot him was obsessed by the book). May plays guitar on the demo that was leaked to the internet.
And given that I am a huge Brian May fan, and that I'm missing the show on the 7th 'cause I'm flying out to Dublin... if he's at Hammersmith that night I will be mightily pissed off...

Kind of weird that Ron Thal isn't turning up in any of these group shots...

Can someone PM me with the link or number or whatever for Wembley tickets? Pretty please?

Is there going to be a presale for fans on the internet boards?

Anyone know if it's possible to remove the clicky stuff at the end of IRS?
SG

Blimey, that's a... big girl next to Lenny.
SG

Never mind all this, I just want to hear a full version of the alternate IRS - with decent audio quality...

If the new band's learned UTLH and You're Crazy, can we expect to see them turning up in upcoming shows?

His Vigier guitar is fretless indeed.
And here's a video of him playing it.

Rollingstone.com thinks November 21st is the date!
in 2006
Posted
Yeah, but November's the only logical release date. We're too far into October for there to be any promotion for an October release, December's too late 'cause it'll won't sell enough before Christmas, and Axl's said that it will come out this year.
