  1. It doesn't support it with any new sources though. They use Rolling Stone as their source.

Yeah, but November's the only logical release date. We're too far into October for there to be any promotion for an October release, December's too late 'cause it'll won't sell enough before Christmas, and Axl's said that it will come out this year.

  2. I'm buying 63 copies.

    Okay, seriously tho...

Why buy more than one? You can always make a copy of it if you like. If your original gets destroyed (or stolen like my AFD has been three times), you can buy another one. You do realize that this CD will be available in a few years to buy? Maybe you don't....

Because these are mad people who feel the need to boost the profile of the band by artificially forcing the album up the charts. Why are they mad? Because they're planning to spend their hard-earned boosting the coffers of a multimillionaire rock star...

  3. Those of you in the UK might be interested to know that ITV4's snapped up the rights to broadcast SNL 2-3 weeks after it airs in the US. Hopefully GN'R will appear on the show!

  4. I'd much rather see CD. So would 99.99% of fans on here.

I'd love to hear the re-recorded AFD though. Saying this, after what we've heard of the new stuff and what we've seen on tour, other than Bucket's solos I'm not so sure it would as radically different as some would like to believe.

Bucket didn't play on it though; it was recorded in 1999, with the Finck/Huge/Freese/Stinson lineup.

  5. I could see them ditching WTTJ in favour of Chinese Democracy as an opener; that "teasing" intro Robin does is very similar. Indeed, I suspect that CD is going to be the opening track on the album.

  6. Here's an interesting thought... when you get CD, will you listen to all the tracks in order, or will you be unable to resist the temptation to skip ahead to, say, Madagascar to hear what the studio version sounds like?

  7. You guys going to the other UK gigs should make up a banner with a message of support. I would, but... well, I'm not going. Anyway, I hope his dad pulls through okay. Talk about extremes of emotion; you get picked to play in the rock comeback of the decade, and then this happens... :(

  8. He's brilliant. If there's one thing I find a bit sad, it's that we'll never get to see him sharing a stage with Slash; I'd love to see those two bouncing off each other...

  9. I'm more worried that the e-mail I got from GetLive seems to think there are standing tickets available, and the ticketmaster site disagrees. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait in line tomorrow morning...

  10. Excuse me, but I ask these questions at the same time. Can someone explain to me the meaning of CITR?

And what it has to do with Brian May (cool rumor though ;))? is CITR a cover or what? Is it about May?

    Sorry... :P

The title comes from the book by JD Salinger; the song's about the shooting of John Lennon (the guy who shot him was obsessed by the book). May plays guitar on the demo that was leaked to the internet.

And given that I am a huge Brian May fan, and that I'm missing the show on the 7th 'cause I'm flying out to Dublin... if he's at Hammersmith that night I will be mightily pissed off...
