  1. It woud be even more interesting how much people boughth tickets from the day it was clear that axl will front them....

I can only speak for vienna where a lot of people are complaining about this line up but there are also a  lot of people who will go there because of axl - so in the end it will more ore less be the same amount of people who will go to the conerts I guess

  2. 1 hour ago, Eddie Money said:

There IS truth to the Wembley Stadium rumo(u)red dates (mate). Two dates are in the works right now, but there may only be one depending on ticket demand. I haven't heard three as previously reported.

I doubt that they would ship all their stuff and crew to europe just for two (or three) concerts - so it this would happen I guess we would get a few more dates in europe

  3. We are just witnessing the last big thing that GnR will deliver to us - Reunion has always be the big thing everybody wanted to see - if the hype dies down in 2 years there will not be anything specials anymore from this band (as I don't think they will deliver another iconc album together).

If they are not able to play stadiums anymore I guess the renewed friendship between axl and slash will also end and they will go their seperate ways again - will be very interesting to see how their careers will continue after this whole reunion tour...

  4. I think the problem is not Axls antics on and off stage - the bigger problem is if he performes poor in vegas and/or coachella and it surfaces on youtube there is no chance in hell that you can still sell out stadiums anywhere in the world. Most of the average rock fans are sceptical regarding axls voice and performance and you need them to fill stadiums. They surely won't pay to say Mickey Mouse even with Slash and Duff

  5. A Guns'n Roses/Oasis Tour wouldn't make any sense

In the UK Oasis wouldn't need Guns to fill stadiums and in the other parts of europe it's exactly the other way round...

Really dissapointing that they won't come to europe this summer and are focusing on the US market - as this has been the place in the past where they had the most problems to fill arenas

  6. So what if theyre gonna play two more dates before vegas? Everyone's gonna sell their tickets? :)

I'm quite sure that these dates will be the first official Guns n Roses shows. If there should be some warm up shows in the LA area before I don't think they will be announced and will be more of a surprise gig or sth where they will just invite old friends etc. I guess no one here would be able to get tickets for these shows...

  7. The problem is: no festival organizer can affort to spend 3 mil for one band - so that means they have to do a solo show with gnr - which means all they risks is on gnr (axl) to make a big show.

If you look through the comments on various news sites that reported about the reunion you wil see that even the average rock fan nowadays knows that axls voice has been fucked up over the last years and you need those average rock fans to sell out big venues...

The Coachella gig is extremly important - if they fuck this up this reunion will find a very fast end..

  8. "Tickets sell out for Guns N' Roses Coachella"

    http://news.yahoo.com/tickets-sell-guns-n-roses-coachella-063031481.html;_ylt=A0LEV1gA8JRWCBsAthJXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTByMjB0aG5zBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzYw--

I know that there is already a Coachella Thread but this thread is about more than Coachella, its to address the concerns of many people that GNR isn't marketable anymore. Well now these people can read it and weep!.

Coachella is their first gig - it was clear that these tickets will sell like crazy. A 25 stadium tour trough NA is a whole different story - I'm still not sure if this would be a good idea - stadiums in europe and SA would be no problem

  9. To be honest I've been very exicted about this whole reunion thing in the beginning - but since axl canceled the kimmel show (and the strange press release about the coachella line up afterwards) sth is not right with this whole thing. It reminds me to much of the CD debacle (marketing wise) - and if Axl doesn't give a fuck about promoting the whole thing I don't think we can expect an over the top perfomance from him at coachella.

I can't believe it but somehow it seems like they even manage to fuck this whole thing up somehow - they could have created much more attention for this with a well organized press conference (axl slash duff) or axl appearing at kimmel

Hope that they announce further tour plans soon now that coachella is already sold out - so that we see that sth is still going on here

  10. Am I the only one who thinks that doing a stadium tour in NA with prices aroud 250 dollars is a bad idea to start with??? Would the buzz be that big that they will sell out these stadiums??? I always thought they start in SA or europe where they would sell out stadiums much easier

I think it will be more than buzz. I think they have a solid plan for promotion.TV appearances, tour with another big name band, and the mention of possible new songs

Ok maybe the question wasn't asked correct: Is the rockmarket in the US still big enough for such major rocktours?? I always thought that rock is more or less dead in the US. I could only imagine a tour with metallica that would sell out stadiums in the US

  11. First reunion show in Brazil sounds more than realistic - these guys will go crazy there - hope they make a DVD of it. Also the festival shows in europe sound good - but i hope they also do some stadium shows in between I wonder what the US will get - will the buzz be big enough to do a full blown US tour or just some selected dates?

Regarding new music: I expect a new best of CD (as alle the members never been happy with the one released from the record company) + 1 or 2 new songs

  12. I wonder why they should play festivals here in Europe I guess they are able to sell out stadiums in every country anyway...

Stadiums in Europe? about 60000 people? i would love to,but in 2010 in spain there were 10000 people and place was not packed...... i doubt Gnr playing in the same stadium like 93 in madrid.I really hope them to do it,but they are not as same level

If a promoter is really willing to pay up to 1.5 mil for that concert he should expect at least 30.000+ people - that means stadiums.

  13. Slashs solo tour is the perfect opportunity for Axl to get in shape (vocal and health wise), he has more than a year from now on - I just wonder who will be the person to tell axl straight to his face that he is currently not in the right shape for such a huge tour with that high expectations from the fans.

Of course Slash would be on board for a reunion - he is out there talking with fans and media and he knows quit well what all of them really want - he doesn't seem to be that kind of person who would ruin that for all of us
