Give Mr. Rose another 10 years with the GnR name and he will easily top that list...

I don't see any kind of evolution from AL to WOF - it's still the usual Slash type album we will get in this current band scenario.
Would really like to know what happened with him since both Snakepit and the first VR album - because these three are great - after that everything went downhill
Maybe it's because he is sober since then....
Scott helped out with VR. It added some variety anyway.
As far as I remember this has not been the case with the first VR record (all songs have been finished by the time he joined). I guess this is a good thing as Libertad has been the worst album slash has been involved in so far in his career.

To bad Metallica somehow managed to survive all kind of crises during their band career while classic GnR never has been able to solve all their internal issues.
And now we see the result of this - while Metallica is called the #1 rock/metalband on this plant - current GnR is just seen a joke. Classic GnR would be on Metallica level if they would have staid together...
-
Typical Slash record - I guess it will not get better as long as he stays within the "Myles comfort zone".
If this album would be released by a "no name" bands I guess no one would care about it..
-
YCBM and SCOM are terrible - is there really nobody within the gnr camp who has the balls to stand up and tell axl that he sounds shit and that releasing such a blue ray only hurts the new band?!
-
Duff replacing Tommy (at least temporarily) - rumours of axl retiring and bumble leaving, guys let's admit it - this band is over...
And here is the scenario which would please at least every fan:
Bumble, DJ & Co will found a new band (called VELVET SHOTGUN ) and will release all songs they have written in the last years together
Axl will not be seen for the next 12 month and will return with the classic lineup and in perfect shape - Farewell Tour 2015
-
Funny thing is that I don't think people have been that positive about this show in 2006 - but compared to the current situation this show is fantastic.
Too bad people have been that negativ in 06 - I guess because a lot of us still compared the band to the originals - now this show sounds great when compared to 2014.
I hope this cycle doesn't continue and in 2020 we will talk about the great shows of 2014 (but I guess this would mean every concert in 2020 will be a new chapter of the axl rose desaster videos)

It would be even more interesting to know if this Axl/Duff reunion might change axls view on all of the old/original members (even Slash) a little bit. You could clearly see Axl had a lot of fun with his old friend on stage last night.

Wow can't believe that Kidies is nearly the same age as Axl. No wonder he he is jaelous - if he would be in shape like this things would be much better in NuGNR land
-
So if he is that successfull as an entrepreneur why does he still have to play for Axl and the paycheck?
-
In the current state of things I don't think a lot of people would miss Axl within a VR/GnR environment - people even think that he is the weakest link in NuGNR. The question is if Axl would let himself go like this nowadays if he had to start a successfull solo career.
Of course a VR-Gnr would not have been fronted by Myles or Weiland - seb bach would have been great for it.
-
If you take a look at the current Metallica setlists you will see that the majority still votes for the most common songs of the band - so coma etc won't make it into that list as it's just a favorit by some die hards. The same goes for all CD songs - I don't think any of these songs would make it into the set if people could decide it....
-
No need to get excited - one of the new songs will be "Going Down" for sure...
And two new covers
Going down is a new song, and i would love to hear it live!
Yeah great new GnR song - with no original GnR members performing it....

If Axl did it, me and everybody else here would join up in a heartbeat.
But what would you expect from such an axl chat? TB would just allow the usual boring questions to be asked from all the volcanos out there. no questions allowed about new CD etc doesn't really make sense
-
I don't think there will ever be an official "end" to GNR - like an announcement or sth. - it will just be the same like now without the touring and everyone will slowly loose interest over the years.
The other option would be Axl's death.
-
What an exciting year for nuGNR....
Top news have either been a song that no original member of the band has been involved in or team brasil not answering/ignoring fan submitted questions. Even for GNR it will he though to top that next year
-
Knowing Axl's personality a little bit I would really be surprised if he still talks with anybody from the record company anymore. After the CD debacle - and the company releasing it without his final approval - I guess they are in the top five list of Axl's most hatered persons (and that really means sth).
Normally this would be a good thing for us fans - because Axl might release the rest of the CD sessions for free over the net just to screw the label - too bad axl seems to milk the gnr cash cow as much as possible in the last year so that this scenario is also highly unlikely (as he might loose some bucks doing this).
-
As Axl doesn't seem to be interested in making new music bbf would not be replaced at all...
Will be interesting if BBF will speak more openly about his time with AXL & Co as alle the other guys who have quit already - i expect some interesting interviews from him
-
Interesting that this comes up during the whole reunion phase this board is currently going through
And as there are some axl fanboys who think that the demand for reunited GnR isn't very high anymore: This guy could book any band in the world and wishes to get original GnR...
-
To be honest a lot of things that bothered Slash in the past about axl are history.
Axl doesn't go on stage late anymore, no cancelled shows, doesn't leave the stage and ends concerts without any reason
+ Axl is on nostalgia trip for the last years - no signs that he want to continue his vision of future gnr (whatever that has been anyway)
So the circumstances for a reunion would be better than ever - too bad it still won't happen
-
To be honest I think death of one of the former AFD members is currently the only chance that Axl might change his mind and that live is to short to hold a grudge against certain persons for the rest of your live.
Of course I don't want that to happen to anyone of them anytime soon...
-
IF NuGNR would ever get a chance to do a massive gig like this, they will never ever let Axl sing live - way too risky
But with the current "mgmt team" they will never get such a chance anyway

Of course Axl would never admit it but playing just the old classics for the last 2 years in his live shows (and nearly no CD songs) shows me that he knows quit well that his vision has "failed" also he doesn't seem to have any intention to realease any new material... Axl has failed and he knows it but as soon as he get's the big reunion money he will not care about that anymore
