That being said, a shorter setlist w/out that bullshit in the middle made for the best show I’ve seen since ‘02 Chicago and I can’t remember the Michigan show I was at in ‘88, so that should tell you how on fire Axl was. One for the record books.

That's highly unusual isn't it?
They finished at 9:56. ACL has a 10 o’clock curfew ‘cause we’re in the middle of neighborhoods.

1st encore - Don’t Cry

Knocking right into Nighttrain. No bullshit before November Rain. Just songs plus the one Slash solo before SCOM.

No rain at all. Hot as fucking balls but the band is on fire. No signal. Very spotty

Just saw them bring out the setlist and tape it down. Definitely shorter than the one taped to Slash’s guitar cases earlier.

I see possibly Black Leather? He’s wearing a Steve Jones/Jonesy’s Jukebox shirt tonight
I saw the setlist w/ my own eyes. That’s Black Hole Sun.

I’m above the stage at ACL in the Amex viewing. The setlist will be the same tonight. In the alternates are Hard School, Black Hole Sun, Prostitute, etc. The only new thing I might have seen on there was So Fine.
i also saw guitar cases marked w/ tape for specific songs Better and Sorry, so make of that what you will.
I have photos, just couldn’t figure out this insert other media tab on my phone.

It would be cool if this album has a cohesive creative direction that they all agree on, but I'm worried that Axl and Slash still don't see eye-to-eye aesthetically.
Them playing each other's songs seems more like a gesture of goodwill than anything else.
This is the Axl Rose show for sure. But, it's not nothing to have your pic through 30 unreleased songs and choose which ones you'd want to work on. A few current band originals would be really sweet, but that's a stretch.
Also - I don't think the opinion that Axl doesn't wanna record vocals still stands. He obviously recorded way more than we thought back in the day and I'm not sure when that This I Love remix was recorded, but those vocals are great.

Perfect time to go get a beer or take a leak 👍
Yup. Slamming my beer during November Rain and get as far out of earshot as possible. Hopefully the beer tent is sound proof.

If I have to suffer through Black Hole Sun at ACL, I'm going to be physically sick.

These leaks are so great because I finally get more Robin Finck music that isn't shitbag NIN!
Slash is best where Guns are concerned. It's not debatable.
Still love Finck the most and think Richard deserves wayyy more love than he's getting on here.

Anyone w/ a unique code to share? Heard current Nighttrain members got one and I have an LA friend in need. Thanx in advance.

If I had to guess, they were probably all part of the 2000 intentions album that was originally supposed to drop in 99/00. The one that apparently got rejected by the label. If it did, I don’t understand why. Great songs that sounded even better than when they were eventually released on Chinese.
Def a possibility. The first clip leak was all from one single (remix) album, too, I think.
-
Did everything leak from the last 3 minute clip "song"? I've heard everything in full except the Ashba studio and the Blood In The Water remix, I think.
Atlas is the only gem in the new clip group. I'd guess the full song will leak in due time.
Wonder why these clips would even be grouped together? Theories?

Top 5 what, Top 5 reasons that all those involved in the creation of it should be slung in the tumbrils, paraded through town whilst having rotten vegetables and dung thrown at them before being lynched on the steps of the town hall?
Yup, you got it! I just didn't wanna spend that much time writing something so wordy and not funny. Enjoy Game of Thrones and the active dating scene.

Oh My God is top 5 in the Guns catalogue

The concept of the A-List was discussed by Josh Freese and Axl.
But Jeff Leeds at Sp1at was the one who reported on the four Marco Beltrami songs above being A listed.
I could reach out to him to confirm but I would guess his source was Marco.
I miss Sp1at! Forgot about that site from back in the day.

The pre-order isn’t even up on the US iTunes Store. Not gonna lie - bummed out that I’ll never own the 4 CD version, most likely.
It's there. I just bought it. It says the details aren't available in the US store, but it''ll still let you click the preorder tab and it instantly downloads Shadow.

Just preordered the super deluxe on iTunes for $25. Got an instant download of Shadow of Your Love.

I was fully impressed and grateful that Beavan did such a long discussion that was GN'R focused.
So happy that I went and bought a few 8MM songs, and to my surprise, they're damn good!

Don’t have any 2nd thoughts at all. Taking out all the jams streamlined the show and kept the energy high. The crowd doesn’t even know how to truly rock so everybody gave everybody enough space. It was hot as fuck, but can’t control that. Where the band was concerned, for their age and what we know they’re capable of, they were a 9 out of 10.
