  1. Bucket is probably the best technical player, but anyone outside of slash at 1 is a wrong answer. Slash is every bit as much of GNRs identity as Axl is.

    I value izzy more as a songwriter than a guitarist.  I'd almost say underrated, but everyone seems to have that same opinion. Best rhythm guy they had by far.

    I love Bumblefoot the man, but he wasn't the right man for guns - not for lack of effort. A strict style mismatch.  Awesome dude. Love his solo stuff. Love the energy he brought, but the playing - especially on the album was lacking.

    Ashba was meh. Don't get the hate, but not about to praise him either. Probably the most boring incarnation of Guns. Like bumble - not for lack of effort, but he was lacking.

    Finck is a tough one. Felt he was great on the new material he helped write - especially better, but sloppy shit on the old material - notably November Rain. I could see where playing other musicians material can be boring, but fans are paying for a show, can at least take some pride.

    Richard is kinda just there. Same as gilby.

    We didn't see enough of tobias to fairly judge.

    I could see where bucket would not be everyone's cup of tea, but he's an insanely talented musician.

  2. Definitely the best, and probably most "GNR" of the leaked songs. Has a nice groove to it, with not a lot of industrial stuff going on. Pretty straightforward tune.

    This is excellent. Can not believe someone told Axl this wasn't good enough. This is actually exactly what I thought NuGuns/Axl solo stuff would sound like.

    Maybe Axl told himself it wasn't good enough? Often as an artist you are your own worst critic. I have to think Axl Rose had pretty free reign over what went on Chinese Democracy.

  3. It's okay. Just... okay. Atlas Shrugged was a song that has long floated around, and it sounds every bit like it. That's not to say it's a bad song. It just sounds like Axl's foray into grunge. Kind of almost Soundgarden/Alice In Chains sounding to some extent to me.

    I like it, but it's more filler than "big gun" to me. I don't think it'd be a top 10 track on the Chinese Democracy album we got, which was lackluster as a whole.

    The last time i saw that lineup(2010)i had a fucking great time. Then i saw GNR in 2016 and did nothing for me.

    I don't fucking care about ticket sales, they are already rich. Bring the new music and it better be good, cos i don't know about you but this is my only lifetime, if i die and come back it will be in form of some squirrel or shit like that.

    Truth be told, I had a better time on the 2006 tour than the NITL tour. The novelty of NITL wore off quick for me. It's not organic.

    2006 was awesome; Axl was vocally on point most nights. I saw all four Hammerstein shows, and they were outstanding. I met Ron Thal a few times, and the guy is a gem of a human being. I saw him shortly thereafter at one of his solo shows in Brooklyn; I will forever be a fan of his.

    '06 was peak for me. Not being old enough to have seen the appetite/UYI tours. The band looked cool, sounded tight. Don't get me wrong - I love Bucket, but the whole everyone wearing a different Halloween costume era didn't really do it for me. They looked and sounded like a legit band in '06.

    Axl sounds good when he cares

    2006/07 = Thinking the album was coming, on cocaine

    2010 = Supporting the album

    2016 = First reunion tour/ACDC

    He was vocally outstanding in '06. I remember him coming out at Hammerstein not knowing where that power was coming from.

    I love axl but not to the point of deafness.  Your points are valid.  The auto tune comes in during HS, not as badly and noticeably as it does in parts of the finished album.  Or in the looney tunes song.   But hey, he’s human.  I’ll buy whatever he puts out.

    the Beatles released “let it be naked” without the overproduction.  It would be cool to hear a similar release.

    I get it. The human voice changes over time, and the average Guns N Rose's song wasn't written to be sung by a 50 year old man.

    You have to figure his perfectionism, the bar he set so high for himself, and a changing vocal sound compounded the release of the record as well as touring.

    Singers are artists. They hold themselves to a certain level. Honestly, I don't sing outside of karaoke, and even with that I get pissed off when my voice is off.

    I could only imagine how a professional gets frustrated.

    Only read the first sentence of your post and none of the rest. The clip was 1 minute and 17 seconds, so you haven’t heard it, therefore, making the rest of your post obsolete. Moving along...

    Still entitled to my opinion. I'll stay right here. Not everyone's opinion of these now archaic songs needs to be sunshine and rainbows. As of right now, all I have is a 15 second snippet to judge it by - and judging by that, the vibe and the poor vocal quality, I personally don't think it's gonna be much to brag about.

    Not gonna argue over nonsense, though.
