Lmao I think Axl is just as stunned to see it actually happen as us fans are. It's probably just as hard to believe for him as us because it's something he swore against doing for so long. He's very happy and in a great place though.. This really is the best time to be a GNR fan!!!
I think you're right.
I'm no expert but I think Axl has been carrying a lot for a long time and now he's putting it right and he can let it go, or turn what was a negative emotion into a positive one.
Hes like 'My Name is Earl'!

I just wanna know when that damn phone call happened, instead those morons at china exchange asked Axl questions if he could envision being in a jazz band
You don't think the audience was told what questions were off limits?

To those saying that people didn't go that crazy when they mentioned his name, well they certainly were crazy for it afterwards. The crowd goes ballistic! Sure maybe some of the crowd didn't know him by name but they sure knew who he was after hearing him play!

Duff's been sober 20+ years and Slash 10+. Last I heard, Steven was still counting in months. Which is awesome for him and I hope this time is the one that sticks. But it's understandable that people are amazed/shocked that he's still got it.
But the fact of the matter is that he has still got it
Keith Moon, John Bonham, Steve Clark, Jimi Hendrix, Scott Weiland, Bon Scott and many more - died - took it too far
Steven Adler, Slash, Duff - alive - didn't take it too far

That you don't see a pancreas, or a heart at plain sight. But you can hear Steven's mumbling.
Weak argument

I imagine they would've left it up to him, I assumed Slash just thought the Firebird felt unnatural on GNR songs or something and liked it on The Seeker.
I was just being a dick. Not a fan of The Seeker, but the band clearly like it so it's all good

Maybe because he can barely speak?
Come on'! Stop acting like nothing happened there.
And Slash has an implanted defibrillator from alcohol abuse... Duff's pancreas exploded.... What's the difference?

Does Slash use his Firebird for any song other than The Seeker? It just occurred to me that aside from Axl obviously liking to sing it, Slash might have some kind of deal with Gibson where he plays the Firebird at least once a night and gets *whatever the fuck he gets*. Might be why they keep it in the set.
Pretty sure Gibson would want Slash to use it for a better song if that were the case

I gotta hand it to Steven. Playing in front of a stadium crowd, in front of of those people, presumptively sober and pulling it off!
Why does everyone act like he couldn't make a sandwich. It's not like everyone else on that stage hasn't done drugs!

A policy that doesn't make any sense.. Thanks to trunk for shedding some light for the fans though
Trunk told us nothing we haven't already worked out on our own. He always has to drop it in like he knew it first though...

I think that says more about the choice of opening bands than anything

Annie's stream is shitting itself. Anyone else with a good link?

Slash is twice the guitarist he was back in the day. He's been this good for the last few years but we're probably just paying more attention now. Cutting the alcohol and drugs helped a lot, back in the day it really impaired his live playing

Complain all you want, but it is a FACT that Axl is improving with each and every show.
He has really pulled it together in the most impressive way. Reliability too
