What an icon, one of the best voices ever. His collaborations with Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse were amazing but the duet with Billie Holiday on God Bless The Child is otherworldly. I remember seeing a vid of him joining Billy Joel onstage for New York State Of Mind which was epic.

Yeah, lol. Never hear of this movie. Anyway, it was okay. Hated when he thought a cat would help him. I sped up that part. lol Love my cats.
I think it might have been a movie of the week. It looked like that.
Very cool, yeah, I remember this one when I was a kid.

Is that the one with Peter Weller about the rat?

I like Dizzy. I'm sure half the people that go to GnR gigs don't give a fuck about anyone other than axl and slash. But the other half do. And if you're going to be pedantic, joe public dont give a shit about axl and slash anymore, they're hasbeens and not relevant in pop culture or modern music. But if you like GnR, more than scom and NR, then you probably know of dizzy. He's a yes man and an axl soilder that just goes with the flow. But lets not denigrate him to just some session guy who happens to have been in GnR for 33 years.
Spot on bro.

Cool, I thought I recognised it. I've probably posted my own photos from Jardin Exotique in this same thread somewhere I only get to see my older brother once a year and for the last couple of years we've met up in Roquebrune-cap-martin which is just down the road from Eze.
Thanks SoulMonster. She's a wonderful girl. Just wish I could do something to help all the other street dogs in Albania. I had a few ideas but it's hard when you already work a full time job, have a family to care for, and now a dog who needs all my attention. Hoping I can go back in a year or two and maybe do something
You're awesome man, and so is she.

Is that Axl or Jack Nicholson?
Classic. Btw, sweet pic of Bowie and Mick Ronson in the background.

Great stuff. I'm getting some Lynyrd vibe, not sure if its intentional. Sounds great.
You know, I haven't really thought about the Skynyrd thing but I think you're right. 😄 I am going for more of a rootsy sound on this one.

Great stuff man, those vocals roll. Loved the outro "Don't put your faith in strangers".

That was the worst GN'R documentary ever. Just Eddie Trunk, a couple of other journos and Stump from the St. Louis riot saying the same old shit (and not even accurately). It didn't even have any re-enactments except a couple of scenes.
I thought the snake handling scenes were especially hilarious when they were talking about Axl's Pentecostal background as a child. I wonder if he and Slash ever swapped snake handling stories. 😄

Wow. She looks damn good for 40! I honestly would never have guessed
Just saw a Rolling Stone interview that said she was 25 when she was contacted about joining the band before the reunion. So I assume she was born in 1990.

Kudos to that JordanPerform bloke and whatever routine he’s got Axl on as he looks the best he has since 2006-07
No doubt, he looks great and it's cool to see.

I finally had a chance to finish this one, it's a really personal song for me. It's a tribute to someone who was very close to me.

You know what? I'll make this week a bit of a horror spree and finally get around to watching the Exorcist trilogy.
Hopefully I don't piss myself.
Oh nice, this was already on my list.
Lmfao yeah a bunch of airheads.
Very cool, let me know what you think. Exorcist ll is so bad that it's funny, Richard Burton was drinking during the production and I can't say I blame him. I really liked The Exorcist lll, George C. Scott and Brad Dourif are solid.

This year is the 50th anniversary of the movie that is widely recognized as the scariest movie of all time, The Exorcist. The first time I watched it I couldn't make it through and had nightmares, granted I was around 11 years old but it had a huge impact. I caught it again the other night and now realize that it's just a great movie overall. Everything is top notch, from the writing and direction to the performances. Truly an iconic movie.

He was an amazing storyteller and that voice was gold. It felt like he took me on a journey when I was listening, something that's a rare ability.

Ever heard of Arizona Studios? I remember driving past there in Phoenix.

Very cool man, congrats. I've spent a lot of time around the valley, cool area.

Sounds great man, the tone is spot on.

so wait, if my voice is speaking to my loved ones, that means I don't have to. which means I get left alone. SIGN ME UP!!!!! LOL jk.
AI has a way to go. I typed in "write lyrics as if Axl Rose wrote a song about tying your shoes". here's what came back
Chorus:
I tie my shoes, I tie them tight
I run the race, I live the fight
I tie my shoes, I tie them strong
I'll never give up, I'll never be wrongVerse 2:
I step outside into the world, the wind is in my face
The path ahead is winding, it's a never-ending race
But I'm determined to keep going, my shoes are tied so tight
I'll never stumble, I'll never fall, I'll keep on through the nightChorus:
I tie my shoes, I tie them tight
I run the race, I live the fight
I tie my shoes, I tie them strong
I'll never give up, I'll never be wrongBridge:
I'll never let the obstacles, get in my way
I'll tie my shoes with dignity, I'll get through the day
I'll keep on moving forward, nothing's gonna bring me down
My shoes are tied, I'm ready to burn up this townChorus:
I tie my shoes, I tie them tight
I run the race, I live the fight
I tie my shoes, I tie them strong
I'll never give up, I'll never be wrongOutro:
I'm tying my shoes, I'm ready to go
I've got the fire in my heart, I'm ready to show
I'll walk the path, I'll pave the way
My shoes are tied, it's a brand new day.so, yeah. we can replace 12 minute rocket queen with a 30 minute version of this.
lyrics kinda make me want to throw out all of my velcro shoes though. lol
Oasis came to mind with "the path ahead is winding" part.
