  1. Just caught most of the Elvis movie, thought it was a bit disjointed but it did have its moments. I will say, Austin Butler was fantastic and if you're an Elvis fan but didn't shed a tear during the Unchained Melody scene at the end--please turn in your Elvis card.

I doubt it'll ever happen, but man I wish they'd fix / re-edit Elvis On Tour like they did for That's The Way It Is. There's a ton of unused footage, so they could make it all killer, no filler.

As far as his appearance, then dude was just run down. He was on your and playing Vegas for all of 1970, 1971 and 1972. So Elvis On Tour finds him at the tail end of that fun in May/June of 72. The dude is just rundown.

Having said all of that, you're right: he was awesome anyway. The versoms of Never Been To Spain, Bridge Over Troubled Water and that rad rehearsal of I John are all worth watching the movie for.

Absolutely right, road weary to say the least. Elvis' tours were different than probably anyone in history. He would typically do a two week tour but in that time he might do 20 shows with the added matinees. It was punishing but I think he did it because he didn't want to be away from Graceland for an extended period.

So....it is and it isn't lol.

Here's the thing: have you ever seen the original version of That's The Way It Is? Before they re-edited / fixed it?

It's WAY more boring, with a LOT of unnecessary stuff before they get to Elvis kicking ass.

In many ways, Elvis On Tour is like that. When Elvis is featured doing what he does, it's GREAT but there's also a lot of footage of things other than Elvis that just aren't necessary.

In short, yes it's worth watching because Elvis was amazing in 1972 but you're going to have to wade through a lot of crap to see the really good stuff.

But I have to say watching the old dude describe where Elvis was going to be coming off the elevator was gold.😄

Hey thanks man, that track is one of my favourites! @lame ass securityand I also put together a weighty slice of dystopian synth rock:

I have been occupied with other things over the past few months but Billy is still putting out killer covers which he posts in this section and when I have my house in order I am sure we will put another one out!

Absolutely my man, sounds like a plan.

Today marks 45 years since Elvis passed away.

Wow, 45 years, hard to believe it's been that long. He was the reason I got into music, listening first then playing. He was the man, everybody else is just pretending.( I think those are Tom Petty's words, or Springsteen. Can't remember.)

Password. The show has been updated by Jimmy Fallon and it was very good. It started last night. Keke Palmer is the host. I think she's so cute. Jimmy Fallon and Jon Hamm were the guests. They were actually very good. Won the two contestants the $25,000.

I love the old Password and Super Password, with Allen Ludden and Bert Convy respectively. Along with Match Game and Family Feud, classic stuff. I'll have to check this out.

That's rough but, again, hardly the only time that something like that has happened.

To go back to the case of Ian Stewart - he is the guy who pretty much bought the Stones together, and that didn't prevent him from being kicked to the curb.

The music business can be a shit business.

It's the worst, and there's not a close second. Trust me. I believe Hunter S. Thompson once said "the music business is full of low lifes, cutthroats, and scum. Then there's the bad part."

This will be in my rotation for a while. Tremendous rendition and I much prefer this stripped back approach to the actual song. You sound great as always my man. Absolutely brilliant.

Wow man, thank you. I was hesitant about putting it up, I'm glad you like it.

you can tell that Duff really wants to just snatch that flag off them and do it properly

Or, he's thinking I'm glad they're doing it because I would screw it up even worse.😄
