I happen to love Chinese Democracy and believe it is nothing short of a masterpiece. As long as Axl performs, regardless of who with, it is GNR to me. Everyone else is replaceable.

I was on the Metallica website which is fuckin' awesome for dowloading songs and videos. They have something called "Beyond Magnetic" which are left over tracks from their album Death Magnetic.

After hearing the tracks it is clear why they didn't make it on the album. But that's not the point. This would be an awesome route for GNR to get unreleaed CD era material out there and start working on a fresh album.

I'm sure fans would appreciate the gesture immensely

I quite liked the second Snakepit album, with the exception of the lead singer, who is unfortunately just not very good. This song in particular always makes me wonder what Axl would have done with it, probably taken it to a whole other level as a great song:

Awesome show, I was in in 104, DJ gave our section a lot of love. I couldn't believe they played 3 hours! I just grew my hair long again this year, rocking out in my Illusions T that I bought when they were new, hair flying around... good times.

Music touches my soul. But lack of new music from one of the artists I like is not a big problem, then I just listen to the enormous amount of other good music out there. I just can't force myself to be miserable about GN'R not releasing music at a higher frequency. It's impossible to be sad when there's so much great music out there just waiting to be explored.

I'm not really ashamed to admit Axl's voice is the be all end all of music for me. I haven't heard anyone who comes close to moving me, even on his "subpar" songs.
