  1. I saw them live about 2 months ago. It was great fun. They were joined on stage by Phil Campbell of MÔtorhead and late rin the day

Whitfield Crane joined Mötorhead on stage.

Backstage proshot live "Cats in the Cradle":

He had a song on Motel CA with Lemmy "Little Red Man" one of his best.

You guys check this album out? I'm digging it pretty hard, I hope they follow it up with an LP.

FYI, they played one of the Euro festvals with GnR, I totally missed that. I was really into UKJ back in the day, ashamed I didn't notice they were on the bill!

  2. Ugly Kid Joe came out with a new EP in June, just heard about it. It's pretty good. Sounds is the same, but it's better quality then Motel Cali.

Looks like it was digital only, but CD is available now.

    6 songs,

no mention of Spider Dome. <_<

  3. You're wrong because you haven't heard them. Period. Just like I would be wrong if I said they were the greatest things ever. See how that works?

Exactly. This thread is essentially pointless speculation.

How many "Not ready yet" songs have leaked and been amazing? Axl is a perfectionist. The fact that Axl will work and rework a song until it's "perfect" in his mind. A song not being perfect and being terrible are two different animals.

  4. Never seen it but if it's that child pageant shit then it should be taken off air and the parents should be prosecuted! <_<

I agree, it's terrible exploitation of children, and I typically don't care about that shit. I honest to God think these things need to be ended.

It's porn for molesters and encouragement for fat, "never been" bitchy parents to exploit their children for money or to live vicariously through their children as (for once in their lives) relevant.

  5. This is one of my favorite topics ever. I love taking conspiracy theories and tearing them up. Debunking is like my favorite hobby. I like them much more then books or movies because they have to be as perfect as possible with no holes in the plot or they get shot to shit.

I could probably fill this thread with thoughts on these, but I'll share one that I think is POSSIBLE, not that I necessarily believe it, but it fits my criteria of not dismissing immediately.

So, the one I like a lot, again, NOT saying I BELIEVE it, just saying it's got some interesting arguments, evidence, and a motive to employ deception is the theory that we know there was once a civilization on Mars.

    - It's not disputed Mars once had oceans, it was much more Earth like.

    - There are some seriously interesting pictures of Mars showing some interesting structures on Mars.

Why cover it up though? I think that's the main question of any conspiracy theory.

    - Fact: NASA had a study done back in 1959 by big time think tank the Brookings Institution about the impact of discovering Alien life in the universe. Brookings Institution determined that the best course of action would be to cover it up or the world would fall into chaos ... people would question religion, panic in general etc.

    - Think about it from a government standpoint. If we could see from our satellites that there are manufactured structures, we would have to keep it quiet until we could afford to send a manned mission to mars to see if there is anything good, like weapons. If we announce to the world that there are pyramids or structures built by intelligent life, bet your ass China gets there first. They have 1.5 Billion people and no human rights. They will let millions starve pouring money into a program to get up there and get any technology, or simply be the country that documented the first know evidence of Alien life.

So anyway, not saying I BELIEVE it's true, I BELIEVE it's possible.

BTW there are about 100 books on this if you want details.

If you want the only one I believe, it's the whole aspartame thing. If you drink or eat anyhting "sugar free" or "diet" google it and I bet you stop.

  6. Anyone play the new Amazing Spider-Man game yet? I want to get it, but I don't know if I want to spend $50 on it.

Also, what about Twisted Metal? Would someone recommend it for $20? I really enjoyed the old ones for PS1 and PS2.

For $20 the Twisted Metal PS3 game is very much worth it. It wasn't worth the $60 it cost when it came out. Single player is a total cop-out, but if you like TM, it's still fun.

Yep. I also realized that I'm old enough to play that game with the passion I used to when I was in high school. :(

Yeah that too, I might have out grown the game a little, but it was still a cop-out for single player. They were pretty open about that, it was designed with no single player and Sony was like "WTF?" so they threw one in.

  8. Yes, Riad was originally reported as Oklahoma, and the best reason I can find as to why is that whoever was at the New Year's '01 Vegas show heard the "OOOOOOOH-OH-OOOOOOOOH" part and thought he was singing "OOOOOO-KLAHOMAAAAAAAAAAAA." That led to years of reporting that Riad used to be called Oklahoma, but that was not true.

Do you mean the HOB 01.01.01 show? I can't hear him (the fan) on the recording.

But this story made my day. And I expected this thread to be a waste of time.

Anyway the guy who put together that demo collection must be kinda stupid as there is a file called Riad N' The Bedouins there, so he didn't even listen to them all or what?

This was a well know fake torrent back when the leaks were fast and furious.

Sex Drugs and Rock and roll is still on youtube with multiple posting saying it's GnR but it's some stupid comedian performing an unfunny song. Check it out for yourself.

You didn't miss anything except disappointment.

  9. That movie would make a zillion dollars if they put it in theatres. Think of Metallica's "Some Kind of Monster".

Umm... "Some kind of monster" grossed a staggering $1.22 million opening weekend. $22k more then to going rate for GnR at a wedding.

    Just saying.

Anyone who would pass on NEW MUSIC for snippets of footage of things that have been written about in like 9 books is crazy imo. New music all the way!

  10. It's a very well written song; great lyrics, great chorus, cool bridge, etc. But the production needed work. If the production/mix was as good as it was on Shackler's, and the vocals were not distorted, it would've been that much better.

I was gonna post something like this, you saved me some typing.

  11. The situation is all your needs are taken care of for life, maybe because of lottery, inheritance, a great invention you've come up with, or you made a popular sex tape. Whatever. That part doesn't matter.

What would you do with your life? Plan from this day forward. Don't talk about material objects you would buy. You could buy all the cool cars you want or 100-inch plasma TVs, but let's not talk about that in this thread. Also don't say you would give x amount of money to such-and-such charity. If you want to say you spend much of your life working for a charity, that's cool though.

Basically, I want to hear about the experiences you dream you could have, and what kind of work you would do if money was not a motivating factor.

I would hike the entire Appalachian Trail (I have a savings account precisely for this purpose, so hopefully some day I can check this one off).

Hike the Way of St. James

    Hike the Pacific Crest Trail

Go through philosophy and theology studies

Go on a solar eclipse expedition

Go to Wendlestedt baseball umpiring school

Fly in space, whatever the most extensive trip is that you can buy, whether that be the International Space Station or someday a trip to the Moon

Go on a climbing expedition in the Himalayas (fuck summiting Everest, though. I don't want to amputate my extremities).

Go through at least a little bit of culinary school

Write a book about my experiences

With friends with whom I would live in community, start a non-profit urban center for recently released convicts, which would include a school, micro-farm, and bakery, and housing if they choose to live there. They can have a job for as long as they don't fuck up. I've met several people who run things like this and they work great. This would be my main work.

Learn piano, saxophone, Uilleann pipes, and if possible, how to sing.

That's all I got for now. I think a couple of those might be within my grasp one day, certainly not all, but this is in a dream scenario. I know I'm opening the doors to people saying the following about me and this list

    :jerkoff:

but that's okay. What would you guys do?

Your list has a lot of walking on it and I'm pretty sure walking is free.

  12. True story that no one will believe, but honest to God it happened.

Me and my ex lived in a apartment that was a an old like early 1900's house that was split up into separate dwellings. There some weird noises were going on. We had talked about it and joked, but it was an old house so we didn't REALLY believe it was haunted.

One day, we were getting ready for bed, and something fell in the kitchen. It sounded like a plastic bowl fell. I went up to investigate and I didn't see anything. I still wasn't creeped out, it was an OLD place, there were always noises, and it could have been something dropping in on of the neighbors places. When I got back to the bedroom, she asked me what it was and I told her it was nothing. I got into bed and said it was the ghosts. I yelled "You bitched need to keep it down, we're trying to sleep!" or something like that and I swear to God the bedroom door opened. Not a little bit. All the way. We both fucking screamed. I jumped up and ran at the door and slammed it shut and locked it. We slept with the lights on.

Sufficed to say, I was never a smart ass about it after that.

  13. In all the material that Green Day has put out, there is probably one albums worth of songs I think are really awesome. In the grand scheme of things it's the same production rate as Axl. Axl wants it to be perfect. I'm sure there are some songs that we would think were amazing that Axl doesn't view as "ready". It's just how he operates, I'm used to it I guess.

Would I like it? Sure, anyone would love to have three albums shooting out... just like any guy wishes his woman would go down on him more, or any women wishes their man could find her clitoris. After a few years the guys are happy they get a bj for their b-day and the girls rejoice when their man mistakenly finds their clit, even if only for a second.

Occasionally to appease our urges, we cheat on our significant other and buy a Slash album and pray we don't get caught.

  14. Better is such an amazing song that could be remixed in 10 million different ways and all be cool, yet somehow we keep getting bad remixes of Better, what is wrong? Someone please make a good remix already.

Well, then this is remix 10,000,001 because this is fucking awful.

  15. Everyone started chatting on Skype, some people eventually had disagreements that spilt over into the forum. As Skype had nothing to do with the forum JB and the mods had no power to take action over anything that happened there but eventually the bad blood appeared onto the forum and there were many disagreements, arguments and in some cases abuse.

Do you know if there is any chance of a reunion? Have any recordings of the early skyping leaked?

    Skypese Crewmocracy starts now!!!1!!11!

  16. Don't like 90% of musicians talk about being burned out at the end of the tour? No real news here, is it?

    "nails in the coffin"

    Are you simple?

He's obviously overly dramatic, as has been well established. He's also a bit bipolar it seems he tweeted this like 10 minutes later : "bumblefoot youtu.be/vHzcKwd8Tas?hd… I took video of the audience at the end of the #Benicassim #Spain @gunsnroses show - tweet if you see yourself!! :D "

    Are you simple?
