  1. Subs I think the vast majority of people on here agree that you and the mod team are doing a fucking great job and the rest need to have a long hard think about why we even have a forum right now, least of all one that's better than its been in years if ever.

The problem is, you 'sucking up' makes it hard for the mods to moderate your posts because they think you are buddy buddy with Subsy. If you want to do that, then send him a PM.

No, that's not a problem at all -- You touched on this is another post which was basically implying it was hard for me and High to moderate because 'supporters who we adding financial support to this forum made it difficult to manage' (words to that effect), god forbid Mysteron he might actually feel we're doing a decent job!?:o There is no mod on here that's insecure about challenging me, trust me, your hair would fall out if you saw some of ours challenging discussions -- Ask any of them privately if they feel they've ever had this same level of support previously and see what they say!?

sooo, I'll ask myself a question in relation to that and answer it for you! Q- Would you moderate a supporter in the same way on this forum? A- Yes, no-one can buy the affection/special dispensation from this forum what so ever, not a chance, fact. Nice try though.

I've always had a great relationship with Dazey before being a mod or admin (go figure!?!?) and for you to imply differently is rude, unintelligent and unhelpful.

Either ask a respecful question in here, or don't, please :)

Honestly, I just think Dazey should give up offering up defence and advice in this section. He'd be good company in a pub, just not here. His kind of British humour is embarassingly bad for overseas people.

I am offering up advice, that is all haha

Fuck you, Dazey. Stop derailing the thread. If you want to talk about Axl, there are hundreds of other threads for that. This isn't one of them.

Aren't you derailing the thread by engaging him?

And you by engaging me? And me by engaging you back?

Aren't you both just humouring me? If so then carry on!

Is it not a bit creepy posting pictures of babies in dungarees anyway?

Not sure where your boundaries lie here matey.

    This any better for you?

Whatever floats your boat. It is better than babies, whatever happens. That is a little wierd, to be honest.

  5. the mods are busy. they have lives. if you see a dumb topic, ignore it. it'll disappear from the mainpage quickly. and really, if any part of your lives are spent fretting over some silly joke topics on a gnr message forum, then i think you need to find a better outlet for your emotions. block posters you don't like. ignore threads you don't like. the mods can run an open and expensive forum for you. but they can't wipe your asses.

The odd thread can be funny, but where it's clogging up the forum then it's just not funny. Like the Kurt threads are just getting cringeworthy.... It's actually sad to see people who are constantly bashing on here, what must there private life be like? I post on here cause Im a geek that likes to keep up with the band, but for someone to constantly spam it, they need to get out and get laid. thumbsup.gif

The Kurt threads could all have been kept to one thread.

The problem is, these, mostly young, people want to start new threads because they think they are funny, but they are not, but I guess whatever drink and alcohol goes on behind the scenes is making them think that they are.

As I said elsewhere, if you go to GNFNR.com, Arnold, Broskisrose etc.. are mods, respected members there, but they do not post any of the nonsense there that they post here. Broskis posted his daft 'Dizzy in the army' thread, on his own forum, and in 24 hours, it had no views on there. It just shows you that they are ripping a big one for UK Subs and HV, and to be honest with you, I would not even waste my spit on them.

  6. I guess I am not the only one who has noticed that stupidity is devouring this place and, as the days go by, it goes worse. Actually, I do´t know if it´s happening because certain people are trying to cupcake/sabotage this place, or if they are severely stupid or maybe they suffer from terminal stupidity?

This is the biggest GNR FAN forum and it is being sabotaged with ridiculous topics kind of Axl´s blood type, Axl´s cell phone, whether Dizzy was in the army, what do you think of Del James/Vanessa/Fernando/Walter...?, Axl dating Kurt Cobain´s daughter...etc.

Enough is enough guys! Stop polluting this place with retarded and ridiculous topics. A lot of us are here for GNR and come here to read and talk about them but the amount of garbage that is invading the main pages of this section is bordering a grade of pathetic that goes too far.

Admins, mods PLEASE do something to stop all this shit. It´s really annoying and it´s a pitty that this is turning into a playground.

At the end of the day. it is up to UK Subs what he wants to do.

The forum has been taken over by idiots, but idiots that are partly paying for the forum. Haha, what do you do.

  7. contrary to what msl says, i think there's lots of stories out there that can explain why robin left. i told one. now that mygnr is back, there's actually a forum where people who do have stories could tell them. i want to encourage that. obviously, i'm not hoping for an authoritative account as if it were from robin himself. but i know what our mutual friend said about his situation. i know that some people who were connected to bucket's group were able to share some stories they heard. i want to encourage that. i live in la and work in the entertainment field and have plenty of friends who do too. it's a small town, despite being a big city. it's not hard to meet people who've worked with gnr or have some bizarre connection you wouldn't expect. i think 10 years ago there was more of a desire to protect axl by keeping people from sharing stories about what all went on, or band gossip. but now that chinese democracy plopped out and has become a distant memory, i think maybe there's a chance we'll start hearing more stories about its making.

I live in the UK and know more about Guns and Axl than you will probably ever know, ten times over. You are probably one of those horrible LA gossip snitch people who listen to second hand stories and think you know everything about everyone, and I hate people like you, to be honest.

As for a 'Bucket's group', what is that about?

i have no doubts that you know more stories than i do. no need to feel so threatened by the fact that i shared a couple of simple little stories i'd heard. don't be such a big baby. i'm not trying to take your crown as the resident know-it-all behind the scenes wizard. i don't know anyone in gnr. just have friends who have worked for them, or were friends with members at some point. i don't think that makes me special. i don't think i know everything, or even much about anyone... which is why i'm asking for stories. you're the only one around here who constantly brags about being connected to everything. so why don't you share some?

the 'bucket group' was just a reference to one of the posters, who had some mutual friends with bucket. again, don't get your panties in a wad. nobody's trying to take your place, oh great mysteron, lord king of gnr's post-hall-of-fame era.

oh and by the way, 'hating' me? jesus fucking christ, you don't know the fist god damned thing about me. take a fucking xanex. if you've got some stories to tell, tell them. if not, write them in your diary and enthrall yourself with all your amazing connections. what's the point of bragging about all you know if you don't share it? do you just want us to all marvel at your online persona?

    Yada, yada yada.

There are many stories, alot of the ones involving Axl were fake though at the time, and some of them were even know just a few years back. If you want to give a clue here as to ones you have heard or just PM me, I would be quite happy to fill you in with any facts.

  8. There's no way in hell I am reading all of that, but if the topic is what I think it is, no Chinese Democracy is not masterpiece. In my opinion I think it's a pile of trash.

Are there any songs on the album you like? And are there any songs on there you would have liked if they had been recorded differently?

  9. The illusion albums weren't forgotten. It was a huge event when they were released

I remember that, some record stores opened at midnight, and it was on the news everywhere. Those were great times

The UYI albums had soooo many songs as well, it was far too many to absorb on first listening, but it was so great. The albums required a second listen, but you needed you sleep and you were not sure what to do!

    Haha, great times

  11. There's no integrity in selling yourself out for a sniff of the rock n roll life. No admiration and respect is warranted.

Jarmo has run his forum for many years in a similar manner and has become friends with the band. I do not see anything wrong with that, to be honest.

It was alive until he decided to censor everything. And the reason why is obvious. That's textbook selling out. Killing a popular forum for your own self interests is not something to admire. Maybe you have that level of envy. Most don't. There's no better way to tarnish a reputation. Do you think anyone could trust anything he said? Hell no. In the back of everyone's mind the guy is a puppet and anything said is scripted. He sold a website to be a "go'for" for the band.

    Hell, who wouldn't? :shrugs:

Yet, you're here at this forum. The reason for your posting here and not there answers your question. Apparently a LOT of the people who would read and post there.

The existence of Jarmo's forum has benefited alot of GN'R fans over the years, and the value of that cannot be replaced.

  13. Great work guys, really interesting to read.

Someone noted years ago that on a compact disc, the average songs at the beginning are always liked better than the average songs towards the end. But on an LP, the songs at the start of side 1 and side 2 are liked better than those towards the end of both sides. If CD had been released during the LP era, I wonder if people maybe would have liked Scraped etc.. a little more.

  14. Completely understand, if I were in your position I would not put a lot of stock into what I say since rumors float around GN'R camps, but that is why I have been very careful to attribute my "inside" (if you wanna call it that) info to my friend while making sure what I am simply making guesses at is attributed only to me.

    The info is nonsense.
