Awesome you remember me, I have no idea who you are, though.

Fact is, you know nothing but what one burnt out rock star tweeted vs. one egotistical one said.  Bottom line, without Axl continuing to keep this band alive, none of this happens, without Izzy, all of this is happening .

I am fanboy of nobody. But it is what it is. It reminds me of that Jaws quote (paraphrasing) about yelling barracuda and barely anyone notices,  but you yell Shark etc panic breaks out. Axl is the shark. He always has been.

Hope you are well, and chill the hell out dude. My goodness, Axl Is just gonna eat with or without Izzy, and Izzy can't say the same.

Besides, what the hell is wrong with greed anyway? As long as they are sharing music, they should get every fucking penny they can get till nobody will pay em. You communist?

If he wanted to make money, he would have done solo shows, done interviews for money.

He wants to have a peaceful life, he does what he likes.

When it comes to GNR, many of you are pointing out that Izzy is greedy, he is NOT. He had started the band with his friends, now when they are back, why shouldn't he get the equal amount? So this pissed him off.

You know like that everyone is greedy. Axl, Duff and Slash are way more greedy.

As hard as it is for me to attempt to argue with someone who uses Rhodes Scholar level grammar like "way more greedy", I am going to try...

We have absolutely no idea who is "way more greedy". What we can say at this point with some certainty is that GNR is going to prove to be much more successful with Slash next to Axl than any of the others (as evidenced by the lack of media now compared to  when Izzy and Duff played alongside Axl earlier).

My thought is that Izzy was offered something that would far exceed any of his most recent offers, so it is hard to know why he would turn down ANYTHING? So this muddies the waters somewhat.

I have been gone for a while, but I still lurk, and I love the passion here - one thing has not changed - no matter how good things get, people still get insanely butt-hurt by Axl Rose if he does anything they do not feel is right. I cannot believe this still goes on. I was in college when they broke, and have seen all the linups for the most part, and I have not been able to figure out what makes Axl so fucking polarizing.

I think it's awesome you guys still fight the good fight, and I am very entertained by you guys trying to figure out who is the greediest-er-ist?

I hope all you old school guys have been well.

  3. People want to relive their youth. They are there to hear the classics. Think of how many fans were barely born the last time the UYI lineup were on stage . I saw them in 92 but even that wasn't the classic lineup.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uzEr4L9a1ZlTdyyODuVqknTPzgb_s6ALLZslh2FgDCo/pub?output=htmlMaybeif Chi Dem had sold Taylor Swift like numbers this wouldn't be happening, who knows. Would I love to hear CD2? Of course. Would I take that over a chance to see the AFD 5 together? Nope. I don't think anybody going would expect it to be like 1988 but since GN'R is the favorite band (of most people here ,I'd hope since some of us have thousands of posts) wouldn't you want to see the AFD 5 together in a sold out arena or stadium for their final show. No YouTube video can take the place of the real deal ,for me anyway.

So? I already have a job, I just liked CD, and if I had the choice, would take CD2. Who knows, maybe both will happen or none. But I lived thought the GNR era (was in college) I don't need to relive it, I am good.

  4. Reunion is cool and all, but I'm really hoping a new album will come along, as I think there's really no point touring and touring when you play the same old songs over and over again.

    Agree 100%

I'm still boggled that people would care about seeing one two hour show over an hour of music that they could enjoy for the next thirty years.

I've listened to every GnR album thousands of times. Three thousand hours of listening to an album trumps a two hour show for me - 100% of the time.

    A reunion will be cool.

We've seen duff and izzy share a stage with Axl recently. We've seen duff and Slash on stage together. And all the guys have shared the stage how many times. 500 times maybe? So seeing Slash and Axl onstage - in their mid 50s - playing songs they created thirty years ago? Not that exciting for me. There are 286 videos of live performances of mr brownstone on YouTube. Seeing the guys do it again - past their prime? Not that fascinating.

Without new music it's just the guys funding their retirement.

Guns n roses were epic from 1987-1993.

In 2016? With no new music. Epic is not the word anybody should use.

I would rather have new music.

All the sold out arenas will really miss you.

They will no doubt sell out, and there will be some great shows, but I just cant imagine it being anything but underwhelming by this point. Either way, what eves.

  5. Axl isn't a lost cause when it comes to his vocals, I'm positive if he exercised, rehearsed with the band and took a bit better care of himself the standard of his performances would lift dramatically.

Once again hypothetically, but if there was a reunion you'd assume that he wouldn't have it all his own way like with his GNR and he would have to put the groundwork in to put on a good show instead of just going in cold and winging it with no rehearsal etc.

I refuse to believe any reunion talk, but I want to.

Maybe superman can fly real fast and reverse time too? Then, Axl wont be 52 anymore? You guys crack me up. He isn't taking terrible care, he is getting old.

  6. AXL ROSE WAS THE BEST SINGER IN THE WORLD.

When people (me included) pick on Axl, they are not comparing him to an ordinary singer like Myles Kennedy.

They are comparing Axl to the best singer ever:

    Mr. W Axl Rose;

That seems fair, cause he is 52, and should be able to sing at his optimum level like when he was in his twenties. You people fucking baffle me. How the fuck can you compare him to when he was young? Just cause some other singers have not blown out their voices, doesn't mean that he didn't have the right to, you know, age. Miles is 44 and hasn't put nearly the miles on his voice Axl has (no pun intended). That is an 8 year difference. 8 years ago was 2006, Axl didn't sound good then?

But he looks less bloated and in a better mod than Axl....

I have no idea what shows you are going to but since 2006 Axl has been in a great mood on stage. Dope.

  7. If anyone can watch KOHD and see Axl dancing and jamming to his own music and still wonder why he tours then you will never know. The utter enthusiasm he has for his music came out when I was there, and even on the DVD you can see he doesn't give a shit who is playing it, he wants to sing his music, regardless of how he sounds.

A joy to watch regardless of the sound which I give it 4/5 stars.
