The difference is that the current lineup of AC/DC released Back In Black, where as the current GN'R Lineup has released nothing.

Blues Saraceno > CC
i think cc was actually the worst guitarist they ever had, Blues & Richie can play circles around him, though he did right some very memorable songs.
-
One of my favorite albums when i was younger, don't listen to it as much, mainly because i got a bit burnt out on Poison, still spin i every now & again though, defiantly their best album.
-
i Don't know if this counts but Five Finger D.P.
-
$3.50
yea i'd sey abou tree-fity
-
Cool stuff, glad to hear some new GN'R, even if it's the same thing over & over again.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for silkworms!
-
if this is a real interview, id' be willing to bet money that parasitic demon mind is Silkworms:
"Parasitic demons sucking acid through your heart"

Paradise City is a great closer, just the best one to cap off the set, but there's some other great ones out there, To name a few:
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden or Runnin Free
Alice in Chains - Angry Chair into Man in the Box
Thin Lizzy - Rocker
Wolfmother - Joker & The Theif
Sabbath - Paranoid
Skynyrd - Free Bird
Zeppelin - Whole Lotta love Medley
WASP - Blind in Texas
Twisted sister - It's only Rock &Roll (But I Like It)
Soundgarden - 4th of July or Jesus Christ Pose
-
I'm taking Duff, though I have no problem with Tommy being his Replacement.
no pun intended?
-
It's not exactly what you're suggesting, but i just made a CD of that collects most of the songs from AL with a couple other songs just played on this tour (You're crazy, Let it roll etc.) i could try and upload
-
I've got almost the complete audio recording, Standing & Cali got fucked up due to lag but the rest is good
-
Serial KILLER!
BTW that rocket queen was 20 mins
-
good lord rocket queen's been going for 15 mins + wonder how long it'll be?
not complaining, just wasn't expecting tht
-
LET IT ROLLLLL!!!!!!
-
Check it out:
kinda psyched for this, hope they play some of the newer additions to the set like Serial Killer & Let It Roll
-
The metal masters tour back in 2008, with priest, motorhead, sabbath with dio & testament. I've since seen the rest of those bands & i'm going to Sabbath in a few weeks but missing dio really gutted me.
also i missed 2 prime opportunity's to see GN'R once in 2006 because i thought "Hey they'll come back to Portland" & the Seattle show in 2010 with duff opening because i couldn't find a ride up there.

half Japanese's debut Half Gentlemen/Not Beasts was a triple album

Exactly. First time I heard Keep Moving on a live youtube video, I expected a slow, heavy riff for a chorus. Same thing for Long Way Down. But they worked out pretty well without it. Vicarious, Meridian and Ghetto would have been fit for a Wolfmother album, though.
I My favorites are the same except sub black swan for Suitcase
It's great. I'm happy it was released as Andrew Stockdale. It wouldn't fit with the other two albums, which are way better, IMO. I've been a Wolfmother fan since Cosmic Egg and since then it's been a rocky road for Wolfmother so when this got released I was relieved. Favorite songs are Long Way Down, Keep Moving, Ghetto, Meridian, Black Swan and Everyday Drone. Here's an awesome interview I found on Youtube where Andrew mentions both Axl Rose and Slash, and how the By The Sword collaboration happened, mostly in the end.
That was great although i like his Josh Freese impression better. "I think we should listen to Mr. Valentine" haha
Keep moving is a great record, been listening to it since it got posted on sound cloud a while back.
I'm glad he released it as a solo album as well, it's a phenomenal record but it doesn't really have a Wolfmother vibe. Cosmic Egg did even though it was a different lineup but this ones a bit different has a bit of rock & roll swagger as opposed to the Classic Metal sound of the WM records.
for sure it would've been interesting if he would've saved those for a 3rd wm album along with some of their old outtakes such inside the mountain & monolith

Walk All Over You is the song
It's still a killer performance of it! One of my favourite songs to see/hear Bon sing live.
I'd like to thank OP for making this thread; I've listened to AC/DC every day since I first posted in it, which I hadn't done for years.
Pumping Flick Of The Switch for the third time in as many days!
Same! Popped in T.N.T. today - what a great album! Much better than the international version of High Voltage, those couple song differences really make it.
Agreed, i prefer the Australian versions of the first 4 records.
-
Plus it's a song written by David Bowie...
If this isn't a huge middle finger to Scott, idk what it is. On the bright side it's a really good performance!
-
Mark Tremonti!
that's only kind of a joke though, because i think he sat down & learned 'em all he could nail them.

Oops, could have sworn i double checked, mods, please delete.
The AC/DC Appreciation Thread
in MY WORLD
Posted
I think I've posted in about 1000 AC/DC threads on MYGNR but they have always been one of my favorite bands. a lo of people like to scoff at their technical skill but there's few bands that have the pure Raw Power & Energy that AC/DC have.
Recently I've been spinning some of their original Australian releases, found the original High Voltage record in a used bin for 5 bucks & i was beyond psyched!
