  1. "We feel that, unfortunately, we've never been really anything all that much more other than a throw it at the wall, see if it sticks, no real ground work, something to take advantage of, last quarter, cook the books, write-off, fuck this headache, hoping to get lucky scam."

Exactly, Axl. The record company hardly invested in you or your project at all. It's amazing to me you were able to get the songs done with pro tools and orchestration with the shoestring budget you had to work with.

  2. Axl was on fire in 2010.

I've noticed when he gets pissed and feels he has something to prove he tends to sing better. Sometimes it might just be because he's pissed and not losing breath moving around as much -- I dunno, but I do know that Dublin 2010 and Download 2006 are two of his finest vocal performances since the '90s and they're two widely-dissed shows simply because he acted like a brat a bit with the audience (I remember he got so much shit for Download festival, maybe some of it was deserved, but when he came back on stage he sang blisteringly well; that performance of Better was one I listened to constantly, it was ferocious).

EDIT: Can't find the old bootleg of Better but I do remember GN'R posting this on the old website, it's a great performance:

I miss that Axl Rose. Voice still wasn't as consistent as the '90s but man, he shrieked those high notes with a piercing edge.

Sorry if I took this a little off topic btw.

Is this video from the same YouTube that people are always saying makes Axl's voice sound like shit, distorts it, and does not present a fair representation of what he sounds like?

  3. "I single-handledly built the largest GNR forum on the Net"

I stopped reading after that, what a tool. The users and the love for the band made this forum, made it then and make it now, no one single-handedly built shit. She actually believes that, I feel bad for her...

She really should get her head checked, because honestly if she believes half of what she says in real life, it is unhealthy. I am at a loss for words here...

You could say that about some people in this band, too. You'd just have to change all the "she's" to "he's".

  4. this move by Axl was inexcusable.

it's this karma that's coming back to haunt him now

in the form of apathy, zero inspiration, bad voice, michael jackson look etc.

these guys made him and he fucked them over and havent even looked back.

    he's even worse now.

    "cancer",anyone?

    Oh get fucking real.

If you don't know who Jimmy Savile is, look him up. Guy molested and raped hundreds of children, no one found out or did anything while he was alive and he got off scot free. Yeah, but Axl 'made' some guys sign a contract for a band name, so he gets 'karma', right?

I agree. I hate when people say "karma".

  5. "If we are delayed for unseen reasons, you also will be notified as soon as possible in regard to a new date, and the album will be released as shortly thereafter as is possible."

  6. Taken from Yahoo...

    1. Show up ridiculously late

Rock stars aren't accountants and nobody expects them to take the stage at the precise moment listed on the ticket. We get that. A little late is good, even. It gives everyone time to park, deal with will call, wait in the bathroom line and get a beer. But some artists routinely take the stage two, three or even four hours late; Axl Rose and Lauryn Hill, we're looking squarely at you here.
The 10 Most Annoying Concert Behaviors
On the weekend, it's kind of okay because you can sleep in the next day, but on a weeknight, it's just infuriating. Guns N' Roses started some shows on their last American tour after midnight. Forty-five minutes after the opening act ends is about as late as it should go. Axl and Lauryn, we all love you, but we're sick of this bulls***. It's also extended into their ability to create new music, but that's a whole other story.

  7. On the past March aussie shows Axl showed sometimes that his voice was somewhat more strong and with 'rasp' on some songs, even at the end of the shows like on this PC performance. Is this a good sign that Axl's actually working to recover his voice form, or just a mere coincidence?

  8. I think the general public who were casual fans will always remember the "Sweet Child..." Axl, bandanna and leather, swinging the microphone and doing his Axl dance.

I think those of us that have followed the trip over the years will look back and remember the silent years, the wasted potential, the aborted comebacks, the less than spectacular shows, and that every once in awhile you still get a glance of old Axl.

  9. I think he just about broke down at the end of Paradise City at Rock in Rio 3 while he was talking about Beta, etc.

Yeah, I was thinking about that one too, coming close I guess

    You mean this one?

That's the one. I remember watching that and thinking about how much Axl had changed since we last saw him.

  10. It looks like it says "One in a Million" on the building under the "G" and something above the "S" in Guns N' Roses at the top. It could be Axl's bandanna...also looks like there's flyers or something on the wall in the back at the top.

It's weird to bring the history of the band into play on a shirt like this when only one guy had any part of it. It's not like it's the 30th anniversary of the band or anything.

  11. Didn't Axl say he simply does not use social media? If he doesn't, chances are he doesn't even know someone posted the photo and the video.

I'd be totally shocked if Axl didn't follow what was going on officially with his own band on the internet. It doesn't seem like he is doing much recording... what else could he be doing with his life.

Lol remember the dude didn't know a tour had been scheduled for him.

  12. It is odd. Why not play one of his own songs? I mean, he has to have dozens of songs to choose from that he's written. Or, why not write one for it?

What has he ever written that would get any recognition whatsoever from anyone? Dude's living off a band name he's had nothing to do with other than as a scab

Nothing. I completely agree with you. I'd think if I were a musical artist I would use my skills and write a the music for my commercial or whatever instead of using something he had no involvement in.

  13. Now I kinda took the Grohl comment as if Axl hasn't been doing anything and hasn't been seen for ages, seeing as he compared him to dead people. He's only performed hundreds of concerts in the last few years, not to shabby for a so-called recluse.Maybe he's a functional recluse, yeah that's it,Axl's a functional recluse.Anyway I highly doubt Grohl's comment was intended in a complimentary way based on his previous Axl, Gnr comments.IMO

    It was a joke.
