  1. I feel bad for Axl. He really hasn't aged all that bad, but he was out of the public eye so much the past 20 years, it seems like he's aged more rapidly. In the picture of 1996 where he had short hair and the beard he was around the same weight he is now. Then 2 years later in the arrest photo he was thinner. When he Reemerged in 2001 he was a normal weight but he had aged quite a bit from his last appearance. 2002 he had the cornrows and the oversize jerseys which made him look weird. 2003-2005 he wasn't seen. 2006 he had the cornrows still, but wasn't in the news much.

His last big appearance before 2009 was the 2006 VMAs when he introduced the killers, but that was only about a minute, making his last long appearance in 2002.

People like slash are in the public eye regularly, so they age more gradually. Axl is only in the front page news once every few years, so there's gaps that don't show his aging.

Axl looks alot like he did in 2001 however IMO, but how many people actually have seen pictures of him from 2001 before he had the braids?

You think 2001 Axl and 2013 Axl look a lot alike? Really?

  2. http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/stop-the-presses/guns-n-roses-lies-shocking-truths-haircuts-180902540.html

Judging from the pages of the U.K.'s Mail Online, there's not a whole lot happening with Guns N' Roses, save for the fact that Axl Rose has been out on the town in London with a bevy of babes and a "short and wavy" hairdo instead of his trademark "long and straight" number.
It's such big news that ol' Axl is pictured no less than seven times sporting the new look. While Axl has never been a Bowie-like chameleon of rock, he also famously wore his hair in cornrows a few years back, and there's been some debate if his hair is really still his or has he had a hair transplant, plugs, or a weave.
But enough of such trivial matters. We're here to report that Guns N' Roses has actually been quite busy, they've just been busy overseas. The band recently wrapped a series of dates in such exotic locales as Australia, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon, and Axl recently posted a note on the band's official site to thank the fans and opening acts like ZZ Top and Rose Tattoo. And the band has some festival dates in the U.S. coming up, including Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma, on May 24, River City Rockfest in San Antonio on May 26, and the Governor's Ball in New York on June 8.
If you go to one of these shows, you'll be able to see for yourself if Axl's "new" look is worth all of the fuss.
Oh, and if you're sensitive....might not want to read the comments lol.
  3. put it on a cd with 2 other songs and some live cuts put it out on an EP, problem solved.

Maybe the song is good enough to deserve a better spot than just being randomly thrown out like that.

But not good enough to replace Scraped...?

Chinese Democracy is already 71 minutes and some seconds long. Scraped is only a 3:30 song. If the album had to be <74 minutes, then you are supposing that Atlas Shrugged was a song shorter than 6-6:30- which it full well might not be.

Or you could cut a song and cut out some of the intros and outros and you'd make it in under 74 minutes...

Weren't they swapping songs out right up until the end, because of the leaks?

It would be foolish of them to put the best songs on one album, better to spread them out.

Imo, 10 of the 14 songs on CD are at least good, so I'm hoping the next release will have about the same ratio of good to average songs.

Someone needs to borrow Rons laptop for an hour or two.

I don't know....I'd rather have a classic album than a couple of good to decent ones.

  4. Everyone stop bitching about it...you can't force someone to release anything if they are not ready.

    lolwhut?

In March, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan joined forces with their old singer in Guns N' Roses, Axl Rose, to file a lawsuit against their former label to prevent it from releasing a Guns N' Roses greatest-hits album. They lost.

  5. Sucks about really no answer regarding new music, but since some artists are not making new music or not touring anymore (David Bowie and Eric Clapton) not wanting to tour and Mick Jagger too. Also I just read that Billy Joel isn't inspired anymore to write music, so it's very possible that this is the case with Axl and even though DJ and others might be writing music, Axl just isn't all that interested or feels it's not his GNR.

Anyway, found it interesting that he read Slash's book. I heard he said nothing but nice things about Axl. Axl's not interested in writing a book himself. I think that would be one book I would read. I love how Axl talks about touring many places in front of thousands of fans and how he's very pleased with it. I guess he's happy with how things are with GNR.

I found it very interesting that Axl actually said he might remix AFD again. Would it be with the original members and just make the sound better or actually record it again with the new GNR? I don't think I would like it re-recorded, maybe just twicked to sound better, but no re-recorded, that would just be wrong.

Again talking about how he wasn't ready to tour in 91. I can believe this because some artists are just forced to do things and they wind up ill or dead. Elvis was used by so many people and I believe Michael Jackson was too. I'm glad Axl's experience didn't hurt or kill him.

Bottom line is he's Axl Rose and has always done and most likely do things the way he wants to especially now. He knows more about the business and knows what he wants at this time of his life. I don't feel he needs to please anyone or apolgize for the way he is. Love him or hate him, Axl is Axl and I doubt if anything or anyone will ever influence him to do something he doesn't want to do!

Which one is it? He toured in 91 (against his wishes), but no one can influence him to do something he doesn't want to do.

  6. "Axl's attorney," sure sounds like Axl.

Axl - get away from the computer and go make music dude.

:rofl-lol: You got a better chance of seeing the lock ness monster..

if marc canter's calling beta out...beta should publicly answer marc canter right here on the forum

What does Marc have to do with this?

My guess on who did the graffiti - Angela Nicoletti McCoy.

My guess...Beta did it as a prank and ran away. She was drunk also. :jerkoff:

I think Bumblefoot did it......but he was probably just joking with a fan.
