I'll be there. 2nd row. Slash side. Wearing my usual tie-dye GN'R shirt from '91-92. Should be fun night.

Atlas
I guess it could be him, CITR and Perhaps it's obvious it's Brian. Atlas I'm not positive though? To bad the demos don't have liner notes. lol

So he plays on CITR, Perhaps, and what else?

How many unreleased CD era tracks do we have now?

OMG is not unreleased, unless you speak of the demo-ish version. Let's discuss Hardschool. Fans called it Jackie Chan because Axl said we may have heard it somewhere and others deduced it was the Hardschool clip from 2006

Ok Ok this one is very good!
-
I like the guitar. Very CD sounding. CITR reminiscent with a twist.

If Axl was looking for the NIN - Marilyn Manson sound...He found it.

I can hear record executives back in 2000 knowing what AFD and UYI sounded like and then hearing this.......

I feel like Axl is laying on a couch talking into a microphone. Vocals sound phoned-in. Barely sounds like the man. It's different, but not in a good way.

It appears the pit ticket prices are dropping (at least at the OKC show) was over 400 now dropped to about 300. I will snag some pit tix when it gets to 250.

True, but Checkmate was a shitty 16 second clip coming on the heels of the first leaks of IRS, Better, and TWAT (And CITR? Or was that after?) and it got a hell of a lot more attention than this. The fact is a lot of people are just beyond caring about this era of the band nowadays.
20 year old demos of that incarnation of GN'R no ones cares about anymore.

New GN'R album in March or May, sometime in the fall 2020 or maybe not. I'll just leave it at that...

I have to respectfully disagree with you on that. My opinion is that "NU-GNR" was doomed from the start. Whether an album dropped in 99-01 or the actual CD release date of 2008, it didn't have Slash in it. I think Axl knew this and that's why he had trouble with the follow up.
What should have happened but didn't was GNR going on hiatus, which would have freed Axl from the GNR brand so that he can pursue a solo album. Restarting the band with new members rarely works, especially with a band that is already established.Pretty much. I'm sure it didn't help Axl's confidence for the label to reject his efforts. I would have also. The demos sound nothing like GN'R, so they told him to try again, and rightfully so.

Quality is good. Needs a chorus & more Axl & less Pittman. lol

Huh? It leaked long time ago. I've had it on my computer for a while... no?

You curse like a 14 year old punk. Nice collection.

The song is kind of repetitive. How many times does he say "what it takes to be a man" the guitar solo is the only thing breaking up the monotony. I give it 4 out of 10.

My pup of 15 years has just passed. It's hard to outlive every pet I've ever had. It never gets easy. She made me so happy. RIP best friend.

You should work on your self-esteem a little if playing a song for some friends invokes such a terrible reaction for you. Really, who gives fuck what's "cool?"?
You should work on expanding your taste in music a little. The music industry doesn't give a fuck about GN'R. One CD in 25 years doesn't evoke excitement in anyone. Get a grip on yourself. Touring on 30 year old albums is the only thing GN'R has going for them.

I've played the track for a few casual fans and all of them love it. I agree it needs some work, but it's a strong track as it is.
I wouldn't embarrass myself in playing these songs for my friends or anyone else. I once shared the Goin' Down demo, they didn't like it. GN'R isn't cool to average people except as a nostalgic act.

And the YT video is gone.......Due to copyright claims. Hope ya'll got it!

Wow, really? I've talked about it for years. Seems obvious to me that it's very much about Slash but you and everyone else disagrees.
I just don't see it Russ. Any of the rock songs like Hard School or other songs on CD I can see that. But not a slow sappy song like The Blues? I don't see Axl saying "What I thought was beautiful inside of you" to Slash and the next day "Slash is a Cancer, the least we hear from him and his supporters the better" It just doesn't sound right. Ya' know?

I'll always stick by my feelings about The Blues. For the record, I think that's the only song on CD that's directly about Slash.
lol. Wut? It's la song about a chick and a broken relationship. This is the first time anyone has ever suggested it's about Slash.
-
Why does every song have to be about Slash? Like the break-up was Slash's fault? Axl was the egotistical maniac not Slash or Duff. I suppose Izzy never had issues with the red head either? Every other original member left of their own volition, except Steven.

Your wish is this country's worst nightmare. Republicans (Trump) is the only thing keeping this country from going to Hell, literally. Obama passed his own Healthcare reform. How did that work out for us? Yeah, it didn't.
