  1. Well, kinda ...

Representatives for the band, as well as Coachella producer Paul Tollett and agent Ken Fermaglich at United Talent Agency, could not be reached for comment. Executives at AEG, which will operate the new Vegas arena, also did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
  2. Would you get excited if Duff returned as lead guitar and Izzy as rhythm guitar, vice versa or switching off?

Granted neither is Slash, but with Duff and Izzy back in the song writing mix, would you get excited? Or would you not care because it wasn't Slash and they are "just Rhythm guitarists"?

Personally, I would be stoked if this happened. I'd reserve judgment on how it would sound until I actually heard it.

Only if they got rid of that goofy looking/sounding singer and brought back Axl too...

  3. What can they say? "yep, he gone"

You don't think a band losing two key members is worthy of a response from the band's management team?

If Kirk Hammett and Lars Ulrich quite Metallica, you don't think the band's management or Hetfield would speak to his fans about it?

Yeah but Kirk Hammett and Lars Ulrich are real members of their band ...

  4. I think Axl has fired the rest of the band.I dont see NUgnr performing again, and definitly see that next move is Duff creating bridges to reunion or Axl anunces he is retiring.

He's not going anywhere. At least that's what he said. He also stated in an interview he hopes they have at least a few more years.

I guess when he's 60 there will be changes, but we're still good for now.

    where did he say that

    twitter

Because if Axl says, then it happens ...

  5. People should get over it, it's a shit ad, but I thought it was cool seeing him in it. How is it any different to Slash's VW ad or anything else? Nobody's ever cared about that.

You're missing the point, too?

There's nothing wrong with doing an ad, even if it includes a shit version of one of your hit songs. Slash has been called media whore, sell out for years, and Axl has been portrayed as the only one with integrity, the one who doesn't do anything for money. Well, there he is, selling himself out for a Budweiser ad, associating himself with a shit version of Paradise City. ZERO INTEGRITY. Should we care? Not really. But in the end, is a slap in the face of those who claimed Axl was one thing when he's definitely another.

I'm not missing the point at all. The realities of the music industry have changed since the early 90's dude. This is no worse than seeing ads for M.A.C. cosmetics or Monster energy at a GN'R show. I don't love any of these things, but I accept them as necessary.

    Actually, you are.

I'm very much aware of how the music industry works and I have no issue with music artists doing ads for whatever they are offered. You don't love these things, I do. I like to see my favorite musicians everywhere I go. That's not the issue.

No, I'm not. Have any of us heard him comment on this sort of thing in recent years?

He's not out there pimping a product he doesn't use. It's a brand of beer that he actually drinks. Integrity doesn't come into it. :shrugs:

Did he really drinks that shit?

I hardly call Budweiser a beer

I think Axl can afford special import european beers (esp. belgian beers/ale's)

The country where i live is a poor central european country (and we don't really have good beers now) but if somebody drink Bud most people chuckle at him for drinking american beer :shrugs: You find waay more cheaaper beers that taste 100X times better than this bottle of piss

Technically speaking, Budweiser is a Belgian beer now... Fuckin Inbev...

  6. Both Axl and Slash are loser sell outs for being in ads. It's the lowest thing a celebrity can do. Much like fucken Alice Cooper doing commercials for Sony Bravia or John Lydon doing a commercial for fucken butter!

Sorry, but this is the reality of being a musician these days (I realise Slash's commercial is a lot older, but w/e). You've got albums selling less than 100 000 copies topping the charts.

I said this in another thread recently, but unless Axl is willing to curb his lifestyle and cut some people off the GN'R payroll, you're going to see more endorsement deals and advertisements like this creep in. He's promoting beer and the World Cup (two things he actually likes) - it's a far cry from promoting butter or a television.

He's never going to get the sort of label funding he wants for another album. That TV spot was probably the most profitable 3 seconds of his life. It's worth it. :shrugs:

everybody likes butter... And television. I don't see the difference.

  7. GNR only puts out one new original studio album per decade. It's funny how it has worked out that way.

you got 2 in the 90's

Technically the Illusion album was a double

how's that when you were able to buy just one of them?
  8. Axl hasn't given a shit about anyone's feelings or timetable since 1985

That's just it though. It's not about a timetable anymore it's just ... done. I'm glad you like the shows. Personally, I last saw them in Tampa in 2006. I tried but missed getting tickets to Chicago - UCAP. Then almost bought tickets back in June for KC, but couldn't see paying what they're charging for this band. But shows are all there's gonna be from here on out. Won't be any new music or interviews from him.

  9. Gee I wonder why the questions that were sent weren't treated seriously...they know this place is a shell of it's former shelf, with a minority of a minority of Adam Lanza like fans...every comment on here is so sad. You know what would help you guys out? Sunshine...

lol yeah axl was gonna answer questions if everyone had a positive attitude ... that'd be waaaaaay more effort than he's willing to give, but keep on believing.
