  1. Maybe but I don't have such a hard on for Axl that I think the fact he's getting a lot of press coverage for being a little bitch makes him relevant in any way... Do you jerk off to thoughts of his slap fight with Tommy Hilfiger?

I think you do have a hard on for Axl. A major, aching, throbbing one. That's why you are obsessing over him in this way. Slandering him relieves a little of that pent up tension you have I guess. Whatever floats your boat..

Where in the hell did I slander him? He's proving the point fine himself!

  2. EDIT: People will probably take that up the wrong way. The only way Axl is relevant right now is because of his bullshit behaviour. It is not for his music. Which one matters more? Music or bullshit?

The funny thing is that today the Guns N' Roses concert is the best in the world in every possible term specially the music. But who cares if in Dublin the band played one of their best concerts up to date? Who cares if Axl's voice was amazing? The press won't say that because they hate Axl. No... actually they love Axl, without him, what would they be talking about? AC/DC and their concerts that are a copy of each other? Bon Jovi and their massive single release of ridiculous pop songs? Aerosmith playing the "band spliting up" game? No. Without Axl this rock media coverage would be dead. If they can't talk about Axl's voice, Axl's body, Axl's hair or the band, they will find something. Even when Axl comes back to finish Guns N' Rose's concert, and with their charisma the band wins the crowd again, they find some bullshit to talk about. But not the music. Not the concert. These things are too good to be mentioned.

Axl's the one creating the bullshit that is unfortunately overshadowing the music right now. It's not the fault of the press that this shit happens, of course it's going to be reported on! The guy's getting in his own way!!!

  3. He is taking Jacko's place in that his odd behavior, and not the music, has become the main focal point of people's fascination with him.

If you are seriously comparing late shows with child molestaton allegations you need your pinhead examined.

Quite the illogical jump you made there... His point is right, he's not getting attention for his music. People are watching the train wreck.

Our start times at the Reading and Leeds festivals factually had nothing to do with us as the previous bands (who were great by the way) came off stage when they did and we went on within' our contracted and documented changeover time period.

Whatever other nonsense anyone's choosing to write would appear intentionally false.

Having the fans or our show penalized for how the event was ran or simply the natural flow of events those evenings and for such minimal amount of overtime along with distortions and falsehoods by media, the promoter and or event organizers regarding the events seems a bit draconian and more than unfair to the fans.

A simple question: If you are aware of our changeover time, the average length of our show and the general nature of how these types of festivals run all of which are no big secrets...why book us?

Is it simply because the lineup on our nights at both festivals sold well? So it's a cash grab with no respect for the fans or the band and somehow an unwanted inconvenience for the cities and law enforcement? If we're not wanted and just being used to line someone else's pockets or for fictitious tabloid fodder at the fans and our expense we're fine with going elsewhere. God forbid we would force ourselves on anyone. It's not that kinda party.

I didn't organize, arrange, authorize, have knowledge of or was even consulted about our being booked for these shows till after the fact nor did I choose to work with anyone I'm aware of other than our manager who was involved in arranging these dates. Yet it would appear we're amazingly often legally obligated to honor such arrangements whether against our will or better judgment. That's simply and unfortunately how this business often works with the artist and imo seems is legally supported to benefit managers, agents, promoters and ticket vendors.

With how the fans and we were treated in the past I had what I feel were legitimate and now proven justified apprehensions. Yet we gave 100% and from where we stood it seemed as if the both the fans (who rocked!) and our camp were having fun and making the most of things.

Why (and what would appear intentionally) risk having it go bad for everyone? Imo that's where true recklessness and negligence at both the fans and our expense would seem to be.

Anyway...thanks again to all the fans who made our nights!!

    Peace!!

  5. I'm just amazed at those of you that think coming on late had anything to do with anything other than Axl wanting to come on late. Either they have run into more technical difficulties than any other band in the history of bands, or you guys enjoy being shit on.

  6. Se I guess the shows are cancelled because Axls twitter says so?

hold on a sec, gotta inform everyone on my facebook about it.

I know, its kinda ironic that the axl nut swingers on here always say " unless its said by axl i dont believe it " well this is direct from Axl and now they choose to not believe it lol

They must love being spoon fed bullshit

    +1

If Axl didn't say it, I don't believe it... Oh I don't like what this says, it CAN'T be Axl that said it!!

  7. I don`t really know why it makes a band dangerous because they are unable to organize their tours / cancelations in a decent way. This is not dangerous this is just straight annoying.

They haven't been the world's most dangerous band for a long time now. They're just the world's most unreliable band. Exciting, huh? :shrugs:

  8. I mean given the band's track record for cancelling whole tours for random reasons, I don't think a phone call by "Gnr camp" ( whoever that is, Beta, Fernando, Doc ? ) to MYGNR is enough of a confirmation.

    lol mygnr.

Is this site really a valid news source? Isn't this the same website that confirmed the Slash t-shirt ban? That was also via phone call.

I think that the GNR management thinks that is very cool and, I dunno.... young to make all the statements and confirmations, etc by Twitter and Facebook.

Whether they think it's "cool" and "young" or not, they haven't confirmed shit on facebook or twitter! Other than they're "looking into it" (which prolly means trying to convince Axl to stop being a big fuckin' baby). And I hope Eric recorded that phone conversation for whenever this tour does get officially cancelled (the spelling of this word does look better this way) and they try to call him a liar!

  9. The whole "never asked you to be a fan" is cop-out bullshit! Anyone here ever had anyone at all contact them to ask you to be their fan? No, that's not how it works! If they didn't like having fans, they'd keep their music to themselves rather than release albums and tour! Just because no one's holding a gun to someone's head to get people to buy tickets, doesn't mean that paying customers don't deserve just a little bit of respect and dignity. There's nothing rock n' roll or rebellious about this, it's just pure conceit. The man has no problem reaping the rewards of his success, the least he could do is deliver what was promised.

  10. Maybe reading too much into some things, but I see this as evidence that the equipment was not the problem here...

Someone posted this on Ron's Facebook:

    Hi Ron! :)

I know that you said that we need to wait 48 hours but it's too hard. Are you still in the band? because there are rumors that says you left the band... please tell me that it isn't true.

    And Bumblefoot's response:

Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. No divorce, just a lover's spat.

To me sounds like there is tension between him and Axl, but again I could be reading too much into things now. Wouldn't have to if they'd just give us a damn update!!!

  11. comon, lets put this to rest!!! the management has already said that the tour is still going!

you are infact stiring shit. stop spreading rumors

You're being naive. For the life of me, I don't understand how some people can be looking at this and thinking "Okay, it's totally clear! Everything's good, no worries!"

    dumbasses

Why call one dude and tell him that, and tell everyone else to stay tuned to twitter and facebook, but not provide that little nugget of info there then, genius???

  13. To be honest that whole Twitter situation is really confusing and the GnR reaction not understandable at all. As far as I understand it there has been no official reaction from the Guns Camp clearifiying that the shows are still on. The message they posted on FB is actually very strange "well well well you can never tell...please stay on FB on Twitter for official news".

If the shows are still on just fucking say it on FB if that is the official place or write a press release and also put it on FB if that is where we apparently get the official news from. I reckon that Guns camp is unable to contact Axl, so they don`t really know what is going on as well, so this is why they are this vague....

Didn't the Guns camp contact the Reading/Leeds organisers and say that GN'R are still playing the festival and the other UK dates? I take that as confirmation.

As far as I am concerned a Twitter message from Reading is 3rd hand information,....why is it so hard to clarify this thing once and for all in a way that cannot be misunderstood? I may overreact a little, but I have been f..... by Guns twice and I already spend a lot of money on planning trips for the Euro Tour and deadlines for hotel / plane changes run out....

Think about it... Reading/Leeds are the first concerts coming up, and they'll be the biggest of the Euro tour. Don't you think the organizers of the event trust that they've got good information from the right people? There's too much at stake for them to just give out "half-assed info".

So Del or Doc or whoever contacts them and says "Oh, yeah, we're def still coming, don't worry!" and then immediately gets off the phone and desparately tries to get ahold of Axl some more to try to talk some sense into him, which they've not been able to do yet.

Not saying this is for sure how it's going down, but I don't see how some people can look at the information that's come out so far and have any confidence at all.

I really hope you guys are right though, as I feel for the people that have spent money and time on this and have their plans in limbo!

  14. I'm going to stick my neck out here and say the rest of the tour isnt going to happen. This is Guns after all and no one can tell Axl to do something he doesnt want to do. Hearing from management etc is all fair and good but Axl is his own boss and have the management actually been able to contact him? If his twitter account was hacked would he not of jumped quickly to clear up any rumours? After all it will cost GNR money if people start returning tickets. I dont want to stir shit. I'm an old school GNR fan and i've become used to the ways of the GNR world and this to me is nothing out of the ordinary for being a GNR fan. Thoughts?

For the record. I wont be ditching on my fav band just because of some bad publicity. GNR are the best for me and always will be.

More or less this... Axl definitely calls the shots, and to me there are no signs pointing to anyone but Axl as having posted that tweet. There's a chance they can talk him down, but it's just as likely that they've not even been able to get ahold of him, just like when CD was released. Only thing that doesn't add up is the tweet from DJ about shopping for guns with Axl. Was that true, or just some odd attempt at damage control?

  15. I want to know one thing, one thing only, from the horses mouth - are these fucking shows happening or not? Why can't someone come out and say, the tweet is bullshit, it's not true - shows are happening!?

Did you not see Eric Romano's post on the subject? He said he heard directly from the GN'R camp. I agree that it would be best for GN'R to say it themselves, but I don't think Eric has any reason to lie.

    Ali

I don't think he's lying, but if they knew that for sure, why wouldn't they comment publicly instead of sending a private message to someone? Seems they're not very confident that they're right.

  16. Well. Nothing really happened to make people thik this way, so suddenly.

The tour was not cancelled, this is pretty clear now. MAYBE Axl's Twitter was indeed cracked, maybe he really posted that and the GNR management said it was cracked so they could get sometime to convince him to change his mind. We all know (actually none of us really know ) Axl, we know he has bipolar disorder, stuff like this happened before. But things are really pointing to a cracking:

3- The Guns N' Roses camp revelaed on MyGNR Forum and on their official Twitter that Axl's Twitter account was indeed hacked.

Where on their twitter did they reveal this? I'm looking at it right now... They revealed they're "looking into" it, which could mean many things. They revealed that it's not their fault they were so late the other night. and they retweeted something about being patient from DaliaLama.

Other than a private message I've seen nothing about his account being hacked. If it was it seems like putting it out there in BIG BOLD LETTERS would be the best way to put this thing to rest.

Not saying it isn't true necessarily, but it is retarded!

  17. George Glass you are hijacking this thread.

GNR is alive , well and about to embark on a tour and you are not "owed" nor "entitled" to anything. It has been made more than clear that the tour is happening. Stop blubbering facts about Metallica. Nobody wants to hear that. Slash is not coming back so get over it. The band will not suffer from carcinogen exposure on the UK tour or any other tour.

lol @ u, M&S! It's so tired hearing that same old line about you're not owed or entitled to anything! People that bought tickets to a bunch of shows that are in limbo are owed an answer from the band, and that hasn't been given whether you think it's clear or not!

    [/gunsnroses] ???

  18. It seems to me that if it were a "password issue" with Axl's twitter account, they could get that resolved really quickly and already have that tweet removed. I don't buy that, something is up. Are they just trying to bring Axl back down to Earth right now and get him to change his mind?

    Wrong.

Have you ever had an account cracked on Twitter? I have and there is absolutely no way to get it resolved until you email the hell out of them which can take a week (in my case it took 4 days).

After someone finally replies to you, you have to send proof such as a driver's license and other info to prove to Twitter that you are who you say you are and that your account has been cracked.

No, never had my twitter account hacked. Your response seems plausible. But that only explains that post. They have other avenues of getting information out. There's the @gunsnroses twitter, and their Facebook (not to mention these forums, or the evil media). If Axl's twitter account was hacked, why wouldn't they say "the shows aren't cancelled"? I can't find the message they sent out that says that.
