  1. I don't think ticket prices for GNR are too high considering their stage, the pyro stuff, and the number of members in the band.

Go with a simpler stage, cut way down on the pyro, and cut the band size down to... I dunno, say... Five. If it's the right five, the tour will do great!!!

  2. For me Pulp Fiction soundtrack is up there with AFD is the perfect record of it's kind. Tarantino would work really well for a GNR video, you know he'd do a great job.

    1. MEDLEY: Pumpkin And Honey Bunny (dialogue)/Miserlou - A tough one to cover but if anyone can, Ron can.

    2. Royale With Cheese (dialogue)

    3. Jungle Boogie - Kool & The Gang - An easy one for the band to have fun with, like Livin in America by James Brown it would be easy.

    4. Let's Stay Together - Al Green - Axl's vocals will shine on this.

    5. Bustin' Surfboards - Tornadoes (The) (Surf) - Again my faith in Bumble. Maybe I'm wrong but he love this stuff?

    6. Lonesome Town - Ricky Nelson - a total classic ready for a metal overhaul.

    7. Son Of A Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield - "Daughter of a Preacher Man", love to hear Axl sing this. It would be like Live and Let Die 2.

    8. MEDLEY: Zed's Dead, Baby (dialogue)/Bullwinkle (Part 2) - Centurians (The)

    9. MEDLEY: Jack Rabbit Slim's Twist Contest (dialogue)/You Never Can Tell - Chuck Berry - Fortus or Izzy would be all over this!

    10. Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon - Urge Overkill - Perfect for where this band is right now. It's 90s but we're classy, let's drink 200 cocktails.

    11. If Love Is A Red Dress (Hang Me In Rags) - Maria McKee

    12. MEDLEY: Bring Out The Gimp/Comanche - Revels (The)

    13. Flowers On The Wall - Statler Brothers (The) - Imagine singing this at the top of his range like Tom Waits.

    14. Personality Goes A Long Way (dialogue)

    15. Surf Rider - Lively Ones - it's on the surf songs that I think the band would really shine.

    16. Ezekiel 25:17 (dialogue)

    17. Since I First Met You (bonus track) - Robins (The)

    18. Rumble (bonus track) - Link Wray

    19. Strawberry Letter #23 (bonus track) - Brothers Johnson (The)

    20. Out Of Limits (bonus track) - Marketts (The)

Who would you have sing Love is a Red Dress? And would they actually cover the dialogs as well? That'd be funny...

Tommy could cover Red Dress. Have the guys in the band act out the dialogue parts. Axl could do the Bruce Willis parts, Zed's Dead, baby..

After they've finished they could release the album on the internet. It would rock!

Dunno, If Axl does the Bruce Willis parts, then who does Ezekiel 25:17 ?!?!?!

  4. The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, MENUDO, and Abba were the only ones to sell Five million copies of ALBUMS!

...NEW GNR can't sell a stadium anymore, either they can't sell 2 million copies!

,...let's watch the desney channel instead of dreaming with this!,right?????

Haven't each of the Illusion CD's sold more than 5 million copies? And AFD... And maybe Lies? I think "GNR Classic" should be in your list too.

  5. Axl better have some hardcore evidence to back this up. He's making some very bold claims about THE head of the music industry. This could prove to be very significant and/or very embarrassing for him. I'm a paralegal so this stuff fascinates me. I wish him luck and have faith that he has the goods against Azoff...and I hope I'm right!

It's about time someone took that prick on, so I commend Axl for that at least.

Well Frontline's case against Axl is about a verbal agreement, seems had top prove that. I am sure they both have some sort of proof of something but please remember it is a civil matter it does not have reasonable doubt in this matter.

The cross complaint acknowledges that they had entered into an oral agreement, the argument is that Azoff didn't do what was required of him...

Couple weird things in here though... First, Axl makes it sound like he'd have been up for doing press conferences and interviews, etc. if Azoff had set them up as he was supposed to. Not sure I buy that, but... Also, regarding the Activision thing, SCOM wasn't in GH3, was it?? I think a cover of it was in GH2. WTTJ was in GH3...

  6. Blame anyone but Axl, okay? This is brilliant.

Or be a clown who blames Axl for everything. Slash, duff and Izzy have moved on. Maybe you should as well. You've got velvet revolver and a slash solo album - be happy. Or you could whine and cry about the name of axl's band - which he in fact OWNS.

Stay focused. I'd appreciate it if we could direct all our anger and frustration towards the record company.

Can't tell for sure if we're supposed to or not, but :rofl-lol:

  7. And well, some of the responses don´t surprise me at all. I guess it was too much to ask to have a serious discussion about the matter.

Really? But you wanted to have a serious discussion about how you want everyone to stop having speculative discussions, calling their comments "idiotic" and otherwise framing your argument in a demeaning way, and then act as if you'd hoped you'd have been taken seriously? Okay, sure, you were trying to have a serious discussion.

    You got me wrong dude.

That's cool. There are those that make posts to intentionally stir the pot, only to come back later with a different tone and then act like so many others were being immature . . .

But then, on topic, I don't see anything wrong with people hoping for a new album. What is the harm in it? If people get their hopes up based on what we've been saying on a message board, that's their own problem. Don't see how it causes trouble for the band, but if they're bothered by it, then we'd be thrilled for Axl to come on here and set the record straight, he's a big boy. As a matter of fact, in his own way, he's kinda responsible for a lot of the misinformation that's out there, in that he's the one that refuses to do any real interviews.

  8. Over on that other board, jarmo is making it sound like Axl wants to put the leftover material from Chinese Democracy out, but that the record company is still creating obstacles for the band.

What kind of incentive would the record company have to hold things up? You'd think they'd still be interested in trying to recoup as much money as they could.

If the rumours are true, they already have through the Best Buy deal, all $14 million of it. So basically, assuming the album is finished all they will have to pay for is manufacturing the disc and promotion and, correct me if I am wrong, that's the cheaper side of making a big release album.

So then if that's the case, practically any sales of a new album would be pure profit . . . All the more reason that it makes no sense to me why the record company would have any incentive to hold up a release.

  11. This ice cream thing is getting old. Rather than acknowledging the point, you fools continue to epic idiots.

So, do you want praise your eye-opening post or Axl's favorite ice-cream? Keep in mind you cannot have it all. Choose wisely.

Seriously dude, how old are you? I keep checking to see everyones' ages in this thread because I'm 90% certain a good portion of you guys aren't even 15. You're wasting the site's bandwidth. :)

Seriously dude, grownups like ice cream too! Try some, you might just lighten up a bit!

  12. What Axl said 16 months ago.

-Next album will be out in a year

-Better video will be out in a week

    -I'll never reunite with Slash

What does that have to do with ice cream?? Stay on topic, please.

  13. Everyone knows Axl prefers strawberry sundaes.

But during his chats he said he liked banana!!! Why does he torment his fans so??

OMG it's gonna be a double-sundae, strawberry AND banana!

  14. "Young at heart, even though I'm forty-eight. And I'm much too old to let love break my heart."

That's all Axl needs to change to sing the song nowadays.

So does every band have to adapt the lyrics to their songs every year? Shut up!

The song is how he felt in 1990 not now, no need to change it. Only a moron would take the lyrics literally.

More accurately, only a moron would take that comment seriously . . .

  15. Does anyone else think that Axl is "saving" the Illusions songs (Dust N' Bones, Don't Cry, Perfect Crime, Double Talkin' Jive, Dead Horse, Coma, Civil War, 14 Years, Yesterdays, Pretty Tied Up, Locomotive, So Fine, Estranged, etc. ) for in case there's ever a reunion?

I've hoped it... But he doesn't sound like he really thinks in those terms.

  16. Why does Axl not want to play that song anyway?

Because it is the musical equivalent of Axl and Slash making sweet manlove together and producing John Lennon as a child from their holy union.

Well..... If Slash is in Axl's ass then what's the problem !?!?!?
