Off topic but saw U2 earlier this year and it was the best gig I've seen.
And a lot better than Vegas last night.
What's the point in saying this here? Take the trolling elsewhere.

Mick Wall is a guy who Axl unwisely dissed on a recorded song, and who has subsequently made a career out of it. He wrote a hatchet-job 'biography' that drew heavily on fansites like this one and on youtube clips, and not much else. And now he's on the bandwagon, all misty-eyed about a gnr reunion and kindly reminding us what a squalid little hypocrite he really is. The average long-time poster on this forum would have more inside information than this clown.

Even the sound crew are grinning like morons. Good vibes all round!

That's the best review I've seen so far. Good details.

I too want to hear Slash's take on Chinese and Better. Looks like Richard trade the leads on those songs (from that HTGTH review), which actually means two things:
- the songs must have been stripped down. Chinese specially, as it had Bumble fretless riffs and Bucket leads all over the place while the other guys played chords and bits.
- I think Richard is playing Bucket/Bumble leads. Which is what he was supposed to do way back in 2006. As far as I heard back then, he even rehearsed doing Bucket solos like in IRS, trading solos with Robin. Guess now it must be the same, but with Slash playing what Robin played.
I wish the official site would release some Instagram videos of that.. Anything really would be awesome.
It's interesting logistically yes, but by most accounts ChiDem the song is as weak as piss so I doubt if the full video would be a great revelation. I doubt if even Slash could polish that turd.
Better on the other hand has a killer riff so there's something for the OGs to work with there.

some of these posts are so good - and starting to sound like they did in the wilderness years, when all we had was our wits. And certainly no fucking music.

Jeez that is a great find. I had to watch that clip a few times to work out what a historic moment it was!

Keep talking like Borat, that'll see her off.

Axl's reflecting on the lost years......

Great move on the prompt upgrade.
Can I also say it's great to see mygnr are shitting all over every other gnr fan site for traffic - reaping the rewards of a decade of free speech, which was wisely maintained even through the wilderness years. Guns should give you guys some kind of recognition for maintaining the loyal fanbase.

So much memorabilia and rare, interesting GNR-related shit. Looks like a die-hard fan's paradise.
Too bad none of us are actually there... And already bought tickets for Vegas.
Yeah I think somebody was saying that they should've sold the troub tickets through the fanclub. It does seem a little frustrating that the main prerequisite for being at the show is living in LA. It's the guys who have moderated and supported forums like this one for the last 15-20 years who should be in that club tonight.

If they reproduced the most famous canter's photo they'd make a lot of fans very happy.

It's looking more and more like I should be flying in for this.

Their hands are tied. Unfortunately the best and only way to handle Steven (and his people's) unpredictability in these remarkable times would be to promise him some role in the reunion to guarantee his silence, and then shaft him at a later date if necessary. There's no other workable alternative that would explain what we're currently seeing.

Michelle that's pretty cool to be a small part of guns history. Do you know anyone at the troubadour?

What's with all the Mr X and Mr Y? It sounds like they're taking lessons from one of Axl's bloodsucking lawyers.
-
Given the history between the two bands, I think this would be a match made in heaven and most probably the swan-song for pure guitar-driven stadium rock. Axl should definitely do it!

TSI was a mediocre album by a band I loved. CD was a mediocre album by a band I didn't recognise.

That's a much-quoted fact about steven's firing, but (a) it was probably because he was never at rehearsal and so wasn't around to sign the papers and (b) he still fucking signed them!

Treehorn, would you wear a gnr-print codpiece when you went hunting?
