There's a lot of anti gnr sentiment here but it's hard to argue that Appetite isn't among the very best rock albums ever made. And I mean top three. It's the original 'all killer-no filler' prototype. No high concept, no polical undertones - just a slab of fucking great, original music.

I think we can be reasonably sure that Axl's statement is made up of things Beta *wished* slash had said that night. The whole of Axl's side of events came through her, and neither of them ever claimed that he and slash met face to face.

Given how she pays her bills, would you take beta at her word?

We're all speculating about Scott's death. People are bound to do that because of the way he lived. It's not particularly respectful, but it is what it is.

Sorum on the other hand is likely concerned that he'll be seen as the guy who had an ongoing beef with a well-known frontman at the time he died. That's why he's the only acquaintance of Scott's who is doing a radio interview within a couple days of his death. Matt cares about Matt - that's why we're hearing from him. Tears and all.

Matt needs to shut the fuck up. Participating in some lacrimose phone-in three days after Scott's death is not appropriate. He has kids.

Just like when they disagreed after that gig, Matt is addressing the issue through the media so that he can paint himself in a particular light. Scott thought he was a dick then, and he's being a dick now.

Talking about someone other than himself is pretty tricky for Sorum. But with a bit of effort he partly manages to make Scott's death about him.

I think it's more than likely izzy would think twice about becoming professionally involved with Axl in a regular touring scenario.

The late starts frayed his nerves more than anyone's. He may feel that by taking the risk of going back to that, he gives up something that's worth more than money. And he'd probably be right.

Axl will want some sort of concession - something that in his eyes 'legitimises' to the huge, worldwide reunion audience the almighty fuckup that was nuguns. Fortus and frank will be that concession.

The smart move would be for slash and duff to bite down and accept Axl's 'hand-picked' musicians as a compromise to Axl. Their lawyers will advise them to do exactly this, but they're smart enough to see it for themselves.

Fortus reckoned he wouldn't meet with slash or shake his hand. He was certainly cool with playing all slash's most popular riffs for money though.

He's an inconsequential session musician, with no place in a reunion lineup.
