Yes, and mostly to his sources - which, I assume, are the same "insiders" of the NuGnR era.

I remember some "reliable" rumours about a couple of years ago, like that Slash and Duff were just on contract that was going to expire in the end of 2017 and also that Axl was going to record an album with AC/DC.

And the “insider” had absolutely no idea about a whole new tour leg in Europe for 2018, which must’ve been planned for a long time because it was headlining festivals - so they deleted all of those rumours you mention

Also, it’s a tradtion on the WT: Why oh why is he wearing those slippery ugly boots anyway? He’s had problems with his ankles since 1986 or so. Biker boots give your ankles good support and they have a great grip with their soles... Or sneakers, or .... Timberlands .. or .. Birkenstock. Haha

Yeah, I know it’s been said a million times but those boots aren’t just a liability but also ugly af - I’ve never seen one person who says they like them other than Axl - he loves them so much he even put some kind of horrible bling on the toes of them for this mini tour

Also, I need to add. I just saw Jason Momoa’s Instagram Stories today. He was at the GnR show and was so freaking out and happy it was rather heartwarming. He ended up at the side of his stage together with his two kids and was LIVING it. He later met Duff and Slash and gifted them two very fine skull rings made of something that I didn’t know and can’t remember. Looks like bone. So yeah, go check out his stories. Susan was there, too, sweet as always.

I wonder if they have met before, their encounters looked so easy and laid back even though Jason was hyped up lke a teenager. (I think this is his default mode though) Anyway, I was thinking that it must be different to be a famous person / artist yourself and meeting them than being a casual fan from off the streets. It’s more eye to eye. Unfair! lol Also we street level fans don’t have cool bone rings to grace to Duff and Slash.

Am I a tad jelous of Jason? :P Yeah, I am. I’m just glad he was freaked out by the whole thing as he should have been. So it happend to the right one.

I’m rambling, sorry. But it was rather heartwarming, people! And I do have feelings.

    Anyways, thanks for reading.

He’s been to quite a few shows before - I know he went to London Stadium because I saw him and he’s been to a couple since then and each time went backstage. Looks like he is good friends with Duff and particularly Slash ... he did say this time he finally managed to meet Axl - but there’s no pictures so I’m assuming Axl asked him not to post them.

    Bailey would be English?

McKagan is not an Irish name, dunno where he pulled that outta.

    Duff liked the beer though.....

Yeah, I always though Bailey is an English name and so is Rose.

Maybe Scottish too - but Rose and Bailey are very common surnames in England.

I don't think many of you literally wants you to become an empire again, but with a glorious history like yours I can understand there would be some resentment about becoming just another union state with power moved to Brussels, among some Brits. I think it can help to explain some of the sentiment. I find it only natural that with your proud history, coming to grips with mediocrity might be more challenging and can add to the desire to leave the EU.

Most of us have only ever known England as a “mediocre” country, we can only read about what was in the history books now.

I do think some people cling to the past industrial greatness a bit too much. Take the steel industry in Sheffield for example, it’s dead and it won’t be coming back but some people can’t accept it and want the government to do something to restore it. Those people would vote leave for sure. So I do get your point - but just speaking about where I’m from the vast majority of people in Sheffield have accepted it and moved on.

I don’t think it’s a major influence over the Brexit voting. It feels a much more complex thing than some Brits being unable to accept mediocrity.

I think the author meant to describe the two largest parties, not what everybody in the UK thinks.

And it seems that we either agree with one or the other, so that would be most of us then.

You seem to enjoy pointing out how much we overestimate ourselves as a country and how we have this desire to return to the good old days of The Empire - I don’t know anybody living here who does that.

  6. The NHS is unable to take care of the most vulnerable people in this country any more (or it’s getting even worse at it). After 20 years of working for them I’ve just witnessed the worst case of suffering and neglect caused by lack of paramedics and ambulance availability.

It’s really frightening how far the NHS has fallen and continues to get worse without anyone finding a real solution.

  7. Why get involved with Alfred again after all of that drama with the HOB video and posting about how he and his friends were threatening him and his kids? Knowing what he’s like and what’s he’d been doing to the rest of the fan base...

Of course he’s going to rat you out and chuck you under the bus.

His post history here totally looks like the intent was to leak everything, I can see why people reading it would think that of him.

Still feel bad for him for being banned from shows though. That’s harsh.
