This is how you know that Angus is a canny businessman.

Who's going to be mad enough to miss Axl in the best form he's been in for years, as a gnr fan? Very good business sense, and slick promo too from AC/DC.

It seems to be an added bonus that they look to be actually getting along well.

The US dates might be harder to sell as the gnr fanbase will be skint from seeing gnr.

Wonder if that's why they've not rescheduled yet.

Yea, I think if he stuck around it would have been Slash doing what he's doing now, Ashba doing what Fortus does now, and Fortus doing just rhythm.

It's too horrible to even think about.

Ashba really got on my nerves when I saw gnr in 2010/12, him and fortus with the fake rock star moves.

i just watched Tommy or bumblefoot when Axl wasn't there.

I think a lot of people would refund their tickets if Axl had been replaced with Mercury or Morrison also; the latter two may be 'legends' but they are not ''GN'R legends' - they are not the people who sung Appetite - and people form attachments to frontmen. Also, who is certified a 'legend' is subjective. Some would question Axl's inclusion in the ranks of 'legends' and they are perfectly entitled to that opinion.

I would return my tickets if Axl was replaced. Even by Freddie or Steven Tyler. It's totally understandable that people would want ag refund. That's why they've brought in Axl, it's nothing to do with them wanting him in the band it's to resell tickets to gnr fans.

Thanks for the reply, I figured it out after a little bit :)

  5. The more pictures I see of Axl and Angus rehearsing, being interviewed, just hanging around etc, the more obvious it's becoming that they really seem to have gelled.

They could start their own band and make something that no one could possibly imagine by mixing their two styles together.

Let's look at this way folks re: promo whether it's Axl/DC or Guns..

We had next to NO PROMO for Axl/DC until a fucking day before the first gig!

The first gig of the Not In This Lifetime Tour isn't until late June.

    Patience...

Don't forget the promo vid they did from the troubadour ;-) I was shocked we got that to be honest.

It also appears that guns n roses summer tour was all booked before the AC/DC thing cropped up, I think that's why Axl cancelled the tv show.

They rearranged tour dates to accommodate AC/DC. I genuinely don't think its power playing by Axl as opposed to wanting to help AC/DC whilst realising a personal dream, so maybe a little bit selfish, perhaps.

Im hopeful we will get more when Axl returns.

I think that without doubt the best line in this interview, at least for those who know their recent AC/DC history, was the line about Axl hiring Phil Rudd to kill off his competitors for the frontman job. That was so good that even fans of Phil Rudd are going to be in two minds as to whether to hate Axl or support him. Just brilliant comic genius.

Can't believe he said that..he's dark!! I like it
