  1. Guys, let it go...

This was almost 20 years ago.

Enjoy what they brought you, either together as GN'R and individually in their solo albuns.

Cut the "what if" and the "who's to blame" crap. You'll never know both.

    Move on :)

How in the hell is anybody supposed to enjoy the mountain of shit that Slash has put out since he left GN'R? How dare you recommend to these poor souls that they should even attempt that, or insinuate that it is even possible. You Sir (or ma'am, no offense) are a true asshole.

I think you should grow up and stop being offensive man.

Many enjoy what they have done past original GN'R, including current GN'R CD, Slash's Snakepit and solo, Izzy's solo, the several bands Duff had, VR, Neurotic Outsiders, Adler's Road Crew stint and Adler's Appetite,....

There's stuff for everyone to appreciate spreaded in all they done past original GN'R so just enjoy it and be greatefull for what they put out and that these guys are all still alive.

  2. Thanks man :)

To be honest I don't like instrumental stuff, I mean it's cool if a album has one instrumental or it's cool to hear solo sections live but what I really like is sung songs, with really cool high pitched voices like Axl, Rob Halford, Freddie and so on.

Melody is everything to me when I write stuff on guitar so I don't go into complicated technical stuff at the speed of light, even tough I can play fast.

Deception I wrote after watching the 2008 movie Deception and it's meant to be sung. I even have the melody lines for vocals in my head, just don't have lyrics nor anybody to "print" it out on a recroding for me :P

Where can I listen to your stuff?

  3. How many times have I said Freese wrote Chi dem, how many times?!

Sometimes I wonder if Axl did anything.

    Finck wrote Better

Bucket wrote Shacklers, Scraped and Sorry

Tobias wrote IRS, TWAT, Catcher, Prostitute

    Tommy wrote Riad

    Axl wrote This I Love

I'm not sure on SOD, Madagascar, ITW.

Dizzy wrote the piano for SOD? Finck also has credit.

Madagascar was an Axl and Pitman song

ITW seems like Pitman and Bucket.

I know Axl shapes and rewrites and has final say but yeah he didn't write everything.

That only proves that this is a band, not Axl's solo projet as everybody contributes and writes songs...

  4. Great!! You're really talented, I'm looking forward for more.

What software did you use for the drums?

    Thanks man,

I used EZdrummer and programed every single note by note in Midi.

I never played drums so it wasn't easy to build up a groove.

Harder than this will be find a talented singer to write some cool lyrics and to sing this and other demos I'm recording.

  5. Hello,

take a listen at these demos of mine:

The Game & Pink Street and Delicate Things (2016):

    Lisbon Nights (2015):

    Instinct (2015):

    Deception (2014):

    Always Unchanged (2014):

They're home demos so they sound like it.

I wrote these songs, played, recorded, mixed,... basically done everything all by myself at home.

The drums I had to program with software because I never played drums in my life and it sounds like it.

Some lyrics but no voice yet, need to find a singer.

It ain't perfect or pro but I hope you like it.

All songs you hear above are registered to myself.

  6. Slash didn't started this fire alone, everyone helped on it so it grew big. Now he can't handle / is tired of it.

Plus the media is crap, that's what Get in The Ring is all about.

I think this is a sign that Slash lost any hopes of GN'R reunion and he just wants to move on away from GN'R.

He did bash Axl in the press several times, as he and Axl did with Izzy when Izzy left in 1990.

    Axl did the same.

Basically they all bashed each other somewhere in time in the media, they sued each other, they wanted to kill each other,... that's life, nobodies perfect and we all have situations like that in our lifes. Then we grow up and see things not just black an white.

I think Slash finally got over it.

  7. Izzy would never fit VR because:

    - Izzy's low profile and wants to keep away from big tours, press and all of it (except for the occasional guest apprearence) and VR became very huge

    - there were drugs involved (not just Scott was doing it) and Izzy wants to keep away from it

It would have been great tough but I think that it wouldn't have lasted a lot.

Let's just face it, none of these guys are the same kids they were in the 80s/early 90s anymore, they grew up and now they all see things differently. Even Axl says (in a nice way) that he realized now on this recent tour that Duff isn't the same guy anymore.

I even suspect that if all of the original band reunited again it wouldn't be as great as it was in the past so just let the great memories remain and keep your ears opened to whatever they bring you now, either together of separated with each of their current solo projects.

  8. I think you shouldn't press the artist.

It's his life, he knows the fans like him just like the fans will love anyone that fits his shoes.

There's always gonna be fans that like and fans that don't like.

Slash, Bucket, Finck, Tobias, now Ron,... some of us likes some of these and hated other. I had no appreciaton for Bucket at all but there are guys who loved the guy with a bucket in his head playing ET music.

I like Ron's skills and he seems a nice guy but I think he's too technical so it ain't such a big deal.

Just go way in good terms with Axl, that's what the fans expect from him :)

  9. Don't Go Away Mad...

I believe so. Now, you were saying?

I was refering to another poster who was being a jerk and ofending Gunner_PT and Gunner_PT said that he was going to report him so I was hoping he was going to get banned, I was being ironic to that offensive poster.

Then I thought I could use the same thing but now about the topic itself, about Ron leaving the band peacefully and in good terms with Axl / the band.

But you're right, I did use it twice but in different context. Peace :)

  10. I'm not a fan of DJ at all but come on, just accept him or let the band go, all this bashing is unecessary.

As for your concerns, this seems to be due to video editing. But it could be so many things like DJ playing the intro riff once and then his tech activating a looper to keep looping the same riff over and over (that's what loopers do, guitar players use it more and more nowadays).

DJ is in Guns N' Roses because Axl thinks he belongs there. If you don't agree than what can the band do? It's uncool to keep bashing other people for no reason, DJ is a professional guitar player and if you don't like him than that's cool, just don't listen to him.

I myself am not so much into what currently my heroes (original GN'R) are doing, I don't like so much of Slash's latest solo albuns or new GN'R CD or whatever Izzy has done, Steven or even Matt solo album so at the moment I'm just hoping for brighter days; still why would I come here and bash them??

Let's stop this DJ Ashba bashing / bullying...
