Sometimes it's Better this way, If the world could be like this it'd be a happier place but there'll always be a few bad apples.
Axl Nailedddddddddddd that outro.
For the few parts of the show I heard, it was a great show. Glad to hear haters were away
Axl looks fine ( really handsome #coughs# without the hat# coughs# #like it matters?# re-coughs# ) and sounds really awesome.

oh no, i love this band, I'm just very disappointed with the bad performance I had to watch in Florence.
And now that we read you several times complaining, can't you just enjoy this show? (Sorry you attended an off show though.)

Who else remembers this gig from 2010? Axl's voice was brillant here.
I do remember it! It was during my severe accident.... my sole comfort came from the wonderful warm feel and vibe this gig brought me

To be honest, I don't see any point in bringing a five year old to a show of this kind at all.
Back then, in 1992 and/or 1993, be it Vincennes or Bercy, you would see kids w/their parents as well as you could see a guy sitting on a wheel chair attending the show.
The most "dangerous band" in the world had also the peculiarity to be loved by very sweet, kind, lovely, and regular people.
This year, once the ghost of St Louis was put aside, that's what I remembered. So it was no surprise to see Axl ask for more caution towards people.

Hi there!
I don't post very often but here you go!
This show was a blast. I had seen the band back then in my youth and more recently with the previous lineup and for the reunion tour.
My nephew (19 years old) came with the idea to be overwhelmed by Slash, which he was, but came back home adoring Axl He's only compliments towards him. His voice, his stage presence everything! I couldn't stop laughing at it because he's dad kept telling him Axl had lost it and so on ( we know the song and the chorus!)
God! the kid put his dad back into place stating: "go to see them and it'll make the difference. Even my own shooting don't make justice to what I heard."
Now, my review.
I think they're still as cool as back then . I was also a huge fan of intermediary lineup.
To be honest, I think these guys music and vibe do not take wrinkles, it just doesn't age!
I did laugh out loud when Axl shouted at the security guy, it did sound like the St Louis incident. I indeed thought it was all made up for the fun, and the nostalgia act but then no. I only feared that would cancel the show
I couldn't hear what Axl said at the end of Sweet Child so if someone could I'd be delighted to hear it.
As for the songs, I was glad with all of them. I'd just change the Duffs for So fine.
It's something to see these songs being performed live, Estranged, Coma, I missed the CD songs but was glad we at least got to hear some.
The encore was great with both patience and don't cry.
I felt a strong emotion when BHS was sung, idk it's odd...
Voilà!!!
Peace

@sleeping stone that's what happened to me too, Angus Young completely blew me away. He has such a connection to his audience, it's awe inspiring to be a part of that.
Totally!

I flew halfway across the country to see them last night. 1st AC/DC, 15th Axl show.
One of the best shows I've seen, and I'm at about 300.
I've never seen Axl in that mode, and it was a joy. Not better or worse- I'm not starting debate. I grew up going to see Jordan play basketball. Then I saw him play golf and baseball. Still Jordan magic, just different. Here's a couple points-
First, every song is high energy rock, so we see Axl in high gear, and the songs require a certain power of vocals. No Heaven's Door or November Rain- just high octane that keeps building.
Second, one of the most insightful and complimentary reviews of the GNR tour talked about how Axl brings all his life experiences and emotion on stage with him for every song. That's part of what we dig. The AC/DC stuff isn't tied to Stephanie Seymour or lawsuit drama. It's just the stuff he grew up loving. It's got to be fun as shit for him. We all see it.
plus, there's not the monumental weight that reuniting must have had. Angus was on fire too. No way he'll retire. I agree they'll do something together. Far less pressure than another GNR record with Slash and Duff.
I'm happy for him, and the fans. I was also excited so see those hardcore AC/DC fans with the worn jean jackets and patches totally into Axl.
Axl has been put through a ton of crap in the last decade. He's earned this year.
for those who like behind he scenes stuff, Axl was brought in about 20 minutes before the opening act. An Escalade pulled up backstage, stage left and he got out and went backstage. The brakelights caught our eye as it maneuvered into position.
cool to see Dave Grohl thrown on the screen for a second.
stupid job, otherwise I'd go to Philly
I saw them in Marseille this year and recall thinking approximately same save of course for the Stephanie Seymour and the reunion part.
Music-wise , energy-wise, I recall watching the ACDC fans and totally adore what they could hear of Axl. (The sound was kind of crappy where I was.)
At the very beginning I recall this moment when the fans first heard him, they stood like only one man standing and it was as if they would say: " holy shit! There's someone singing up there !" And they went into it till the last note.
I was watching their reaction, I'm a gunner and not quite what you call a ACDC hardcore diehard fan, and of course I naturally burst out laughing. I mean I had no doubt he 'd nail everything and I was more into watching the ACDC fans reaction.
Then it was my turn to be surprised and amazed with Angus Young. The man takes you along and gives every fan their place in the show. The man got my respect.

Hi there!
I haven't posted in a while but I have this problem with the lyrics of Start me up.
Everywhere I searched I found different sentences for the vocal line that's after "I've been running hot" one of which being "you got me ticking gonna blow my top"
The thing is , when I listen to it, I simply don't hear that at all.
I' m not American or English but I thought I could speak or hear English pretty well but this line does bother me, could anyone help me and tell me what Mick Jagger actually says?
I would much appreciate and love you all for it!

Many answers in this letter, Dear Axl, once again!
Thank you for it.
Don't hold anything within, as far as we read , it/he's not worth.

You forgot "Crash!Boom!Bang!" I just love it too

No, people you're not!
What we call "guitarra española" is such a special sound for me!
I'm a great fan but I cannot say I know many names of songs for instance. When I used to live in Spain it was so normal to hear it here and there. So basically I may know melodies but I cannot put a name on it.
Paco de Lucia is still a reference for guitar players, I even recall slash in 92 would say so as there had been some kind of guitar festival in Sevilla.

[ffrankwhite] can i ask a question of all you die hard rock fans. what valid genre of music has come out of the post war western world OTHER than rock n roll?
Jazz? (you said valid )
no ....don't tell me it's rap? those aliens were already there?

Baby, it's only after the war that studies began to show that jazz was an authentic music.....not sure which war though!
I knew the answer anyway, we talked about this in the hip hop thread just wanted to take an easy shot, just missed

Well curiously it's my thought on grunge.
Tons of friends tried to explain to me it was just the way they were, but I never got away from the idea of an "acting" as you called it.

t seems that there was this undertone of hopelessness and just a lack of happiness that Summer and that year. Is that how '94 was like?
Naw, it was more about being real. The musicians wanted to be your average jerk offs instead of fat bloated rock stars.
and they sooooo succeeded. I don't miss them much.
i guess some people like a little acting from their acts.
what do you mean..?

Hey all!
At the time the leaks surfaced, I downloaded two of the fake songs named: "no love remains" and "riskin' my soul".
Fine, don't jump, everybody said they are fake and it's ok for me if they are, the thing is I find them great and I wish I knew the name of the bands who did both these songs (to buy something of them and see if I like more songs of them)
Anyone knows or could identify (the word amuses me ) the bands?
Peace
