Your hair doesn't fall out straight away, and sometimes it won't fall out - I had a full head of hair 6 months into treatment, it fell out in patches. It then grew back and fell out again 3 months after. Since that point 11 months ago, I have not lost ANY hair.

Chemo severely affects your voice in the majority of cases. If you lose weight from treatment, you will be suffering side effects. Within a month of treatment starting, I couldn't sing.

Anyway, nip this thread in the bud, we have no proof, so leave it be.

That T-shirt with the Band Cartoon shows Axl with a moustache. If its on the merch, I would guess it is gonna hang around for a while.

We are pissed off because the second part of the show was Axl having a sulk, and the rest of the band playing an AWESOME set. Why should the 14.995 people who didn't do any wrong only get 10% Axl.

The reason it is a big deal isn't the bottle throwing part.

Its the fact Axl DIDN'T TRY and DIDN'T interact. In the first post you say "All Axl tries to do is give the fans a kick ass show"

Well the simple fact is, at Dublin he didn't try to give a kick ass show. He sat and sulked.

Axl Knows, go fuck yourself. If this had happened at a show you attended then you would probably still be crying and cutting yourself in 2 years time. At least try to enter in the conversation, or GTFO of the thread.

Axl needs to strip down naked and bust out One in a Million.

Why do people think he sounded great, he was shocking when he came back on stage. Only 25% of the vocals were good after the walk off.

The rest of the band are fab, they sounded really good. Pity Axl was the weak link.

I nearly decked the guy in front who threw the walk-off causing bottle.

On arrival at the o2 Arena I grabbed a bottle of drink (Non-alcoholic) as did my Sis who was coming along because I said how great the current lineup is, how Axl has been sounding really good in the past year of touring etc. I had booked standing tickets way back in early June but unfortunately since I ended up on crutches. Right, bit of a bitch but I couldn't change to seated by then so screw it - I will go in on crutches and expected the band to be on by 11pm at the latest.

Danko Jones come on the stage, interact with the crowd - the response was generally positive. About 8-10 songs in they present their new single which from my experience is generally a way a support band generally finish their show. They play 2 songs from their new album and then they say "we're gonna play a few more songs" and about 3 songs later "we're gonna play a couple more songs"

NOTE: I wouldn't recognize Del James so can't comment if he was saying to extend their set - the people around me seemed to think it a bit odd that they were playing so long, as did I.

Danko Jones finished their set at 9.15 and the tech's / roadies started taking apart the Danko kit and started setting up the GnR set. Firstly it was a guitar tech bringing out one of the guitars, strumming it and checking the floor pedals. Cue this repeated on another set of pedals. Then another guitar comes out with the same tech guy.... he tries it on both pedals.

The boo's are starting to grow louder with chants of we want Slash. I told some drunk or stoned guy to fuck off to a Slash gig then... I don't think he understood the logic of that though (He was ENGLISH and a moron, so don't blame the Irish alone) Random cheers every now and again where I presume people could see DJ or Bumble (judging by the comments I have since read on here)

It is now coming up for 10.10 and I have now been on my feet and crutches with 1 broken hip bone, 1 cracked hip bone and very bruised hands being pushed all around by people pushing through to the front or going back to grab another drink to quench the thirst - boy did we need an industrial Air Con system in that place I at no point boo - I expect this sort of thing at a GnR gig. I am prepared for a wait until 11 or so.

People are still fucking about on stage doing the same checks over and over.. boo's are continuing. Then the lights go out... CHINESE DEMOCRACY starts but sections of the crowd are still booing and you can clearly hear it. A few bottles are going toward stage, mainly at Axl and DJ as they were closest to the edge of the stage. WTTJ plays... another bottle and cups of drink go over the stage - AXL stops the show, speaks to the crowd, starts playing again.

End of Sorry, Axl starts to do an introduction, the guy in front of me throws a bottle and it goes right over Axl. It wasn't full of piss I can guarentee that. I will also say, people WERE pissing in bottles, but not throwing them.

The guys walk off. Security don't say to leave, nothing happens for a good 10 minutes as the boo's continue. A woman comes on stage and says "We are having technical difficulties" which is greeting by jeers and booing.

For the next 45 minutes, nobody really knows whats going on but at no point to security say to go. A fight broke out behind me where bins were being thrown, a security guard got floored etc. I was staying, I was going to be the last one to leave

Axl and the band come back on stage, Tommy gives a speech to the crowd and things start up again. Axl looks like he doesn't give a crap and his voice is screeching and nowhere near as good as it was. Only YCBM was a decent effort.

I don't know why people are going on about the Dublin show... oh wait, they weren't there.

After the walkoff, the only song he did REALLY WELL was YCBM.

Nah, I was on the 7.55 which was delayed until 8.15.

For anybody that cares, I will post my version of events tomorrow having just got off the flight back from Dublin.

I will give you a taste of my feelings 24 hours later: I've had a great day out at Dublin Zoo where I was pushed around in a wheelchair as I couldn't stand due to the condition of my hands after supporting my body weight on crutches from 7 until just before Madagascar where my body gave up on me.

I'm just back from the gig. I've travelled from Bristol to Dublin today (on crutches because my left leg is paralyser at the hip) and I stood up from 7.30. Danko jones finished at 9.15 and Guns took to the stage around 10.20pm

He was ever so proud of himself but needed his little buddies to intervene when he was making an exit and I was fed up of his grin and squared up to him. If you are on here, you're fucking lucky that I was on crutches or else I would have put you out cold on the floor.

That's not Internet warrior talk, he wouldn't have been getting back up - o didn't spend 18 months having chemo, having a brain haemorrhage, spending £400 to go see my favourite band leave 5 songs into a set because of your stupidity.

After gnr came back on stage the guys played well except Axl. who sounded like mickey mouse with a throat infection.

i'll be recording the 10.30 show on my v+hd thingymebob, if it goes to the red button for extensive highlights can i record that?

Not with a V+ box unfortunately - I have a V+ and you can only record things from the programme guide and interactive features don't show up.

I have a feeling they'll do what they did with Bruce at Glastonbury last year. Start showing coverage an hour or so into the set so they can show highlights so far (ie. maybe skip out CD, start with Jungle, then Easy maybe skip Brownstone, etc.) and then once they've caught up, switch to live coverage for the rest of the set.

Although, in 2006, they showed all of Pearl Jam's set live, so you never know...

That would be my idea. If the producers know anything about the GNR setlist then they will do that. Not cutting the ChiDem songs, but cutting the solo's and any AXL rants... depending on their stance towards Axl of course, they might show a rant and badmouth him.

I will be watching the Red Button and have the BBC3 10:30pm show on record. I can't tape anything from the Red Button at the moment but I MIGHT be able to provide some footage before the Dublin show. No promises and chances are there will be footage on youtube before I can do it.
