I wish it was Warsaw. That would cost half as much without that stupid travel and accomodation. But it's good they're coming back. I'll have to think about it seriously...

Yeah, apart from the donuts shop which he owned (or co-owned), it seems that he also was a partner in his father's business (he was a contractor). Before that, as I wrote above, he seemingly worked in a factory. Stuart worked in his father's shop. I don't know about Amy. As for Axl, the time his stepfather owned the shop, he had split/been kicked out of his parents' house, then he left Indiana.
From what I can tell, Bailey wasn't a pastor. Probably he was just preaching/"teaching". Their church was led by a woman pastor and her husband. It seems it was a small congregation. There were at least three Pentecostal churches, independent from each other.
Thanks Blackstar, that's interesting. Looks like his role in the church was in fact much less than I was led to believe. And looks like the entire family was engaged in that teaching business (whatever that means btw).

Was he drunk or something? Wearing different shoes is probably the most ridiculous idea of his as far as clothing os concerned ever. Not to mention it really is quite uncomfortable
Gee, I had no idea Bailey had a shop. I thought he lived of being a pastor.... Wonder how come then that the kids (or at least Axl) worked in McDonald's instead of there?

Oh God, Duff...
No, I don't actually find it funny, hillarious, heart-warming or whatever - just cringy and pathethic. To me the fact that you reach fifty doesn't necessairily have to mean that you begin to act like a moron, shaking your butts to the camera or whatever your wife likes you to do. Not to my taste anyway. If I am to chose which of those two I like better, I'll definitely go with Slash's shirt. Seriously. It is at least bad, nasty and not politically correct.

Top stands were terribly windy. I was shocked at the beginning when people started dressing in their jackets and warm sweatshirts. The plate was definitely better. It's hard to believe but it's true. I was there with my father and brother, and they freezed either.
Maybe it was the air conditioning? I thought there was one, cause it was so hot outside and very pleasant inside on the plate. Maybe it was just too strong up there...

Yes, It was very good. the only thing. I was very cold. it was windy as shit LOL

Windy??! Was it the same show? The day was hot as hell

I was at the top stands
Was it good? I mean the sound? When I went to see The Wall on our "national stadium" you literally could hear shit on the stands. I was so mad. It was a great show and the sound was worse than if it was a party next door

apparently you were on the stadium plate? that's the reason.
Yes, I was down there and at the rail on the far right side of the stage And the fires could be felt

I know, But I dont remember that part of the show. Was fire on stage and sparks during November Rain ?
Yes, there was fire on stage, I could even feel the heat, the sparks were there too.

I think according to Nando InstaStory, Axl bought a new pair of jeans?
That would be absolutely mind-blowing! This is the kind of news all of us fans are waiting for!
The 1987 show is absolutely great! Btw, is it only me, who wants to hang the "special effects" idiot by his balls over a pond full of piranhas? Fuck him, he spoiled like 80% of the watching pleasure...

Am I the only one who wonders what else there could be done with that awful lot of money she spends? Like giving back to society, to the needy, to charity? Instead of wasting it into concert tickets for the same show over and over and over again, and plane tickets, hotels, restaurants, stuff just to follow this one stupid band? Maybe Tako does and is still well off, who knows?
I think everyone has the right to spend their own money the way they want to. If this is what she loves, why would anyone tell her what to do and how to live her life? Just as well I could say everyone on this thread could spend their money to a better cause than the last blouse/shirt/skirt/dress/trousers/car or whatever it is that you've recently bought...

These shirts are literally the only thing that remained from their bad boys/dangerous band days. It's quite sad but maybe better than nothing?

But, c'mon, seriously? They had Alice Cooper opening for them just a few weeks ago and he didn't join them. They played a The Who song at RIR, when they had The Who opening for them and they didn't join either. Grohl saved the day and didn't join also. Andrew Stockdale, who's a hell of a singer and has an hell of a song with Slash and it was Slash who joined him. And now Pink is watching the show and joins for Patience out of nowhere?? This band is so random
Yup. Stopped understanding their decisions long ago really...

Too bad Slash basically took a nap during that song. It really could have been elevated with some Slash guitar heroics.
This. I've always thought Skash could turn this one into a real gem and dreamed of hearing his Slash-style, Estranged-style guitar solos on it. And he did precisely... nothing

Yeah who did he get married to? lol
His first wife - Mandy Brix, Brics, Brigs or whatever was her name, from what I remember, and he scheduled the wedding a year before but Doug still schedued a tour for them at that date

Of course it is not very important but then again we cannot praise him for how he sings, sadly, or for what great new music he released, so if we could at least praise him for his looks and clothing, or image, or speeches and rants, or interesting interviews, or great contact with fans, that would be something... And what can we praise him for now? The length of his teeth?

This is what I would like to believe, what I try to believe, but, sadly, what I can't seem to bring myself to fully believe. At least, not until I see some evidence of it.
I honestly believe that, they are very nice towards him and that has been shown quite a few times - their support of the Axl/DC thing (I mean do you think Slash and Duff going there twice was in their reunion contract? I don't think so), the way they approach him, the way Slash welcomes him in his wardrobe, what Meegan said about hings between them being very well - there are plenty of signs they are being really nice and cordial to him while none, other than pure speculation, that would prove the contrary. So I don't really understand why to doubt it. Especially that it's sort of logical. They have a long history together, the strongest bonds of youth never die out entirely, and being mad at him and hating him makes no sense since he mostly ruined himself, of which they've been well aware for quite a few years now.
The sad part is though that I'm afraid that for neither of these people music and passion for music or creativity comes first anymore.

I really want to know what's going on in Duff & Slash's heads during shows. Do they think he sounds good? Have they been lobotomized to no longer care? Do they just think about their loot and keep playing?
They have to hear how bad things have gotten, right?
The money, the possibility to play in front of 100 of thousands of people (they'll never be able to that without Axl), the memories of youth and good times being brought back on that stage plus I think some warm feelings for Axl and the willingness to support him despite him going so much downhill. Altogether I think they are genuinly happy with the way things are and with the reunion and I don't think they care all that much about how Axl sounds - plenty of other things make up for that from their point of view.

You forgot the bandana, the bandana no longer looks good on him, and the tight denim pants with holes and graphic t-shirts, he should wear black clothes, or shorts like the ones he used when he broke his foot, forget the big jackets, he should fire his designer too, TB too. Sometimes he looks like freddy krueger and chucky the good boy combined.
So true

I'm probably saying what everybody else has been saying for days on end now, I haven't followed the RIR discussion too closely but here i go:
I just watch Steven Tyler rock out RIR and he nails it!! He frigging transcribed the higher notes into another octave or however that is correctly called. You now what I mean. He sings lower so it suits his voice and he doesn't mickey. It still rocks and sounds great. No cringey, no sadness, no nostalgia just good old Aerosmith Rock n Roll!
It can't be that difficult for Axl to bloody do that.
Exactly!!! I just can't understand why the fuck doesn't he sing lower? His lower voice is okey and it doesn't crack. The parts in Estranged for instance would be perfectly fine in a lower voice. Why is he stubborn to Mickey them through? I don't get that! Can't he hear himself or is he really too lazy to get to the rehearsals and just try out some modifications. How long could it take him? 2 weeks?
And yeah, though I never really liked Aerosmith - too much Desmond Child, too much pop for my liking (although I saw them live in the 90s) - Steven both sounds and looks absolutely great and he's what, fifteen or sxteen years older than Axl Same goes for Joe, btw.

I love your optimism. I really do
Oh dear God, talking about Axl/Dc (who cares) or this pathethic SMKC thing that's been already going on for far too many awfully boring years or about another one of Duff's boring books on how great a man he is is such a dreadful perspective and so much worse even than talking about another Rock in Rio disaster, that nothing could be worse and you call it optimism?
Right now I guess what I would like them most to do (except putting out new music, fit for Axl's voice and touring it the proper way, which seems now less likely than the sun rising in the west) is to release the entire UYI footage plus all the older shows that were ever recorded. Im afraid that at the moment this is the most interesting thing they can offer to their fans. However, they probably won't even do that Gee, there were so many bands I could have become a crazy fan of - some of them even still exist and function, why did I have to chose the most disfunctional bunch of idiots ever? This is called bad luck, I guess

People are seriously criticising Axl's sister because she's not using expensive eye creams that would make her look 15 years younger than she is? Accusing her of not taking care of herself? Maybe she has a happy and fulfilled life and doesn't give a shit about whether someone on the street will complement her for looking younger or not? Maybe there are other things in her life that are far more important than her skin around the eyes? And these talk is coming from the supposedly most devoted feminists? LOL
Btw, she looks normal and fine for her age.
