  1. Leeds 2002 is pretty weird, Axl is flat literally the entire show, but in a good mood and has more interaction with Bucket than I've seen on any other show, and besides Robin butchering the solo in SOD, the band is on fire with some of the best takes on the classics from both Bucket and Robin. Vocally it might be the worst of the 2002 tour and it's not like...he can't hit notes, or doesn't have power, he's just flat on every song. He also changes some melodies or adds some stuff I've literally never heard on any other show, which makes it more of a bummer that he's completely flat all show.

There was a discussion about a weird video of soldiers killing people and general war imagery, well, that plays during WTTJ at this show if you want to look it up. It is pretty odd. I assume it's the same video that was talked about unless there were multiple "uncomfortable war videos playing in an unrelated song at the start of a show" videos from around this time.

I haven't seen anyone mention "You Got No Right" but I always thought that was a great solo.. You could easily have a Slash top 100 solos if you wanted to.

Pretty sure that's the solos to Living On The Edge and Jeremy mashed together breh

You can't be serious. You know what real album promotion looks like, right?

It's definitely not planning, then canceling tours. Not to mention the complete lack or interviews and / or TV appearances.

Are you suggesting that doing a couple shows in 2001, then having a tour canceled in 2002, then complete silence til 2006, then touring again for a year and a half is "promoting it for 8 years before it came out"?

That's just more or the rumors that came from MSLs infamous "thumb drive" deal. Who knows how much of that was even true.

I am serious. He did the Chinese Democracy tour in 2001/2002, 2006/2007, 2009-2011. Any interviews he did during the period concerned CD. Literally the only thing the label did to promote it was have CD itself as the theme song to a WWE PPV at the end of 2008. Dr. Pepper's fuckery gone wrong did more to promote the album than the record label.

I’m 99% sure that this is very recent, not from 2016. It makes sense that Axl did this now that the tour is finally over.

I’m 99% sure this is not GNR nor AC/DC, just some generic musicians and some generic lyrics provided to Axl by the production.

No source though. Why would he do it 2 years in advance? To me it’s super clear that this is 2 months old OR LESS.

Oh, and this is more proof that shows us that Axl really is a new man since Slash returned to the band. He finally found peace within himself. This is only similar to when he did the lines for GTA San Andreas back in 2002-2003, when he still had that passion and was working on Chinese Democracy.

We will have a new album between 2019-2020 99,999999% sure after this :D

Axl Rose is fucking back, thanks Slash!!!

That's not how animation works. This was likely recorded, at minimum, a year ago. Even a short takes months and months to animate. Regular length episodes of most cartoons can take a year to finish a single episode. Shows that are a collection of shorts that air new ones constantly have a long back up of episodes in advance.

  5. There's really no other album like CD to me in the way that there isn't a perfect version of any of them, and the ultimate versions of each song would combine studio, leaked, 2002-2014 live, and Slash additions.

Chinese Democracy: Idk, I like both the album and 2002 versions, and Bucket did a different solo pretty much every show in 2002 that are all more interesting than others depending on the time I hear them. Ideally mostly the 2002 version with the album outro that picks up where Bucket stops in live performances. There's also a super simple fill in 2002 that I have no idea why it was taken out. IRS has a similar super basic like 3 note fill that pops in a few times in the earliest versions during verses.

Shackler's Revenge: Album version is fine as is, but I do like some of the melody changes in the chorus Axl did in live performances and would like a studio version of them. Wouldn't mind Ron's backing vocals on it either.

Better: NITL intro, the first half of Slash's solo, rest is album version, probably drop the electronic drum loops since they don't really fit with the NITL vibe

Street of Dreams: 2002 studio leak with the Axl/guitar harmony heading into the last chorus from 2002 live shows, Frank's drum roll near the end, studio solo in the outro

If The World: Album version is fine as is, a few additional screams in the live performances and the bit of Love Hangover couldn't hurt though.

TWAT: Short intro and the weird chords in the chorus from the last version to leak before the album release, a couple of fills from Slash, everything else stays from the album version

Catcher: I'd go with mostly the album version, but Brian May's first solo instead of Ron's, a handful of fills from Slash, and then Ron's outro solo up until May's comes back in the demo

    Scraped: Fine as is

    Riad: Fine as is

Sorry: I'd say just stick with the album version. Slash has a few random licks and fills, but definitely the album solo.

IRS: Intro from the 2006 version, verses album version, chorus a mix of 1999 and album versions

Madagascar: Album version with Slash's chunkier playing of the chorus, Robin's live backing vocals

This I Love: I'd love to hear the album version with the remix vocals, and one with Slash's take and Robin's solo.

Prostitute: A blend of the leak and album, but if I had to pick between the two I'd probably just take the album version

  6. I see they dropped Black Hole Sun, but they play You Know My Name over the PA after the show. I'd actually like to hear them play that themselves a lot more than I ever would have wanted to hear a GNR Black Hole Sun. Perhaps another Bond cover is a little much but I think it'd fit all of Axl's voices very well, and seems like the kind of song Slash and Fortus would really enjoy.
