  1. Adler's drumming made the band, he made a big musical difference, his sense of swing was the push and pull that gave the songs their feel, afterwards, nothing worked.

I wouldn't say that his drumming made the band, but like Izzy (and you) said:

"The first time I realized what Steve did for the band was when he broke his hand in Michigan. Tried to punch through a wall and busted his hand. So we had Fred Coury come in from Cinderella for the Houston show. Fred played technically good and steady, but the songs sounded just awful. They were written with Steve playing the drums and his sense of swing was the push and pull that give the songs their feel. When that was gone, it was just...unbelievable, weird. Nothing worked. I would have preferred to continue with Steve, but we'd had two years off and we couldn't wait any longer. It just didn't work for Slash to be telling Steve to straighten out. He wasn't ready to clean up."

  6. Not to make the obvious comparison, but wasn't Better going to be in a car commercial with sheep for some mental reason? I think I remember seeing previews of it.

I forgot how wicked Axl was on that game. I remember reading he was on it and watching my friend play it (yes, good host) and making him flick through so I could find it.

  7. axl is such a genius

he's trying to be successful using the name of a band that doesn't exist anymore but he doesn't do it for money, no, no

axl is not a sell-out, he certainly gave all the money he got from his last tour with fakegnr to some charitable organization

    Link?

    Joke.

Locomotive was only played once or twice i think.... I think there's only one recording of it, from one of the tokyo shows in 92 (not-too-great audience recording, though)

  9. RollingStone.com: Care to comment on the recent rumor that the original Guns N' Roses lineup was asked to reunite and perform at next year's Super Bowl halftime show?

Duff: That's bullshit. Pure, unadulterated bullshit. But it's a good story. You know, I heard it from my wife! "Hey, you know the Super Bowl is asking you guys..." I'm like, "Honey. Really?" Even in my own house, you can't differentiate what's being said on the Internet and the real story. I'm like, "Honey...it's me. You think maybe I'd know about that?"

Rolling Stone: What would it take for the original Guns N' Roses line-up to reunite?

Duff: We'd need seven gilded doves. I have no answer for that. I've got to come up with a good one though. We'd need a secret clubhouse...on an island.
