Man, I love “November Rain.” It never gets old when I’m there live. Just has so much baked in nostalgia for me, summer of ‘92 all over MTV.

I know some people (probably me included) want Fortus to handle certain solos and make them studio perfect vs. Slash noodling and improvising. But come on … with all due respect to Fortus, people are paying to see Slash on guitar. The majority of folks don’t even give a fuck about “There was a Time,” unfortunately. They just wanna slam some beers and sing “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

Imagine if after the solo, they just launched into “Perhaps.” LOL We’d all lose our minds. Or when they bring the piano for “November Rain” and we all expect “November Rain,” but we hear that little piano “riff” from “Perhaps” instead. Crowd would be like WTF. I’d be shitting myself.

We’re done with surprises for today, right? ‘Cause they’re about to go Slash solo / “Sweet Child” and rip through the rest of the hits.

Just listened to TWAT. I really enjoyed those wails from Axl during the coda. Hell yeah! Such a great tune. I consider the studio solos so “iconic” that it’s hard for me to hear something else live. It’d be akin to changing the “sweet child” solo to me.

Now I’m reckless. Gonna have some fun! This is why I hate sitting far back. People absolutely will not STFU. Why do I hear women cackling?

What joy do these assholes get out there who update setlist.fm with fake songs? I saw Perhaps (world premiere) on there and subsequently removed. Fuckin’ lame ass people.

I finally got to hear “There was a Time” live. It was great. From the 2017 Chicago show. I uploaded it to YouTube from the front row pit. However, that clown Mojo and mod police got it pulled for copyright. Axl being at sound check means something new might be played tonight … but they didn’t sound check anything new, right? No “Perhaps?” “Locomotive” would be dope. I know they played it a couple years back, but I love that song.

Are you hoping, or telling us they’re soundchecking “Perhaps”?

Just kind feels like it’d be WAY more likely during the week. Say, Tuesday or Friday. Not Saturday. I know it can be released whenever. I just don’t think they’ll play it today ‘cause it’s GNR and why would they?

Well, I don’t think “Perhaps” will be played today considering no studio release this morning. I imagine when they finally do play it, they’ll drop it at midnight like they did “Absurd.” Sigh.

It isn’t strange at all. Unless it’s Looney Tunes, Axl isn’t getting in the studio to record new vocals for anything. So Slash and Duff are working with what they have because they want to release new GNR material.

They absolutely won’t. But they 100 percent should release an EP with at least six tracks. Something cool and cohesive. The drip feed is lame and getting old. I loved that they dropped “Absurd” and “Hard Skool.” Both bangers, albeit disappointing production-wise. The General - State of Grace - Atlas Shrugged - Perhaps - Absurd - Hard Skool. There’s your EP. Got. Damn it. Even if you just leave off “Absurd” and “Hard Skool,” I’d still STFU for at least a couple months before I start requesting more old material or newly written songs. LOL

The time between shows is killing me now since we have “General” and “Perhaps” both on the set list. Then of course the immediate disappointment when no new song is played. lol

I’d be disappointed if “The General” ends up being “State of Grace,” only because now I’m excited for an imminent release I haven’t heard. “State of Grace” is a kickass fuckin’ tune though. I hope that sees the light of day eventually. I also enjoyed “Eye on You,” but it’s safe to say that’ll never get a studio release since they sampled it on “Hardskool.”

False. ”Street of Dreams,” “Madagascar” and “There was a Time” are all incredible. “Catcher in the Rye” and “ Better” are great too. Entire album of bangers, really.

It would make sense if they didn’t want to spoil surprises, but this band doesn’t surprise us nor give us concrete information about anything beyond toy trucks and sweatshirts labeled as “summer collection” merch.

I love that half the people here choose to be excited as hell about “The General” on the set list, then the other half either think it’s fake or the song won’t ever see the light of day even if it’s on the set list. LOL

I’m not complaining about the set at all. It’s refreshing. I just wish they would play “Perhaps” ‘cause we’d be that much closer to a studio release. I want new studio tracks more than anything right now.

I never loved “Bad Obsession,” but, fuck, it sounds good. I guess it’s just refreshing hearing some variation in the set list.

Fuck. I gotta say, the added guitar over the piano “riff” and Duff/Melissa backing vocals in the chorus are all so good. Can’t wait to hear the studio track.

For what it’s worth, Spotify no longer credits Brain on “Absurd.” Seems odd they’d edit that. But yeah, I don’t know that that’s Brain on “Hard Skool.” I assumed it was Frank as well. This FN band.
