  1. I think they’ll fix the sound mix shortly. Hopefully. Still you can tell the band is fire.
  2. Why do we think they’ll debut new music today of all days? A festival set for real?
  3. I saw Steven Adler last night and an old dude in front of me said “the singer sounds better than Axl.” I said “no fuckin’ way, dude.” And he tried to argue his case but I was still, like, “No, brah. Axl is Axl.” If you’re that guy who said this to me, I’m sorry but I will say nah, brah once again. But Steven’s singer is pretty good as an Axl cover act.
  4. We’re so scarred that GNR could announce an album will release next week and we still wouldn’t believe it. I wanna get excited about this studio photo, but we’ve been burned for 15 years.
  5. The sets have been good, but these festival gigs do not excite me as fan paying attention from afar. They're just clearly not gonna debut new tunes at a fest.
  6. What about his Loaded material? What about the record he co-wrote for Ozzy? Duff’s melancholy solo material isn’t a reflection on the type of music he would write for GNR with Axl as the vocalist. Just a totally different thing.
  7. GNR never make sense. Remember that. I believe Slash released the first single to 4 a few weeks apart from “Hard Skool.”
  8. LOL, yeah, that Duff IG clip, now that we know he has a full record coming this fall, was probably Axl doing some backing vocals. I liked Tenderness a lot, and the ensuing tour in support of it was great. Really nice show in Chicago at Thalia Hall. So now that will be two full solo records from Duff along with an EP, two records from Slash/Conspirators, Duff co-writing that Ozzy album, Slash doing soundtracks, Duff and Slash recording on “Hard Skool” and “Absurd.” All since they returned to GNR. Still nothing new from Axl.
  9. I did not think the start of this tour would make me pumped for the Chicago show this summer, but here we are. Band sounds great. Set list has been fire. And the promise of maybe, hopefully, mercifully, getting some new tunes.
  10. Ah, that sucks, there’s a threat of a t-storm? It means we might get a shorter set and probably no “Perhaps.” But perhaps I’m wrong.
  11. Me. Diehard GNR fan since the early ‘90s. I’ve been very into their side projects and other bands, but was never and am still not really into Velvet Revolver. I’ve tried.
  12. By 2014, Bumble/Ashba lineup had devolved into nothing more than a touring juggernaut. This wasn’t 2000s-era Axl full of spit and fire trying to establish the next iteration of GNR. Saying Slash’s return is the worst thing to happen to GNR from a creative perspective is, what someone else already said, comical. Slash and Duff have written and recorded plenty of music since 2016. The other key guy in GNR, and I think you know his name, is the one who couldn’t even be bothered to record an extra verse for “Absurd” or “hey heys” in “Hardskool.”
  13. Love following the tour so far. No other band makes me seek our forums, live streams, etc during the live show. Long live GNR. Monday, perhaps we get “Perhaps.”
  14. “Locomotive”? FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!! This bitch still won’t STFU.
  15. Literally NEVER thought I’d see Slash and Axl playing the Nov Rain coda together. It’s one of my favorite parts of a GNR song. I almost died at Coachella in 2016 hearing and seeing them on stage together live. Shit hits way different.
