  1. I honestly don't even care for a reunion. I just want more new music. That's all.

I just want more new music[2]

I just want them to stop performing the old songs, as only Slash can plays those like they should be played.

I agree, this new band should make some attempt to create new music, tour it, and earn a living off of it.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA.

Estranged 2011 » Any other version

Just to name one, and Slash & Myles Kennedy is even worse.

Besides, Slash even plays the same goddamn Godfather solo before Sweet Child as he did in the 90's. Talk about creativity :rofl-lol:

  2. I think he sounds like a little twat in that interview, particularly:

"From what I remember - and trust me, it was a long time ago and many, many vodkas and beers ago - a lot of people had a hard time accepting I was in the band. They were gigantic when I joined. Some people thought I was just going to be a passing thing. Whether or not the other guys at the time were into it, I don't know. But now they're gone, and I'm still here."

Go fuck yourself, Dizzy. Most worthless member of Guns N' Roses ever.

He's as peripheral as they come.

+1. Dizzy is shit. If I'm an interviewer and they tell me that I could interview this guy I'll definitely say NO, there's no reason of interviewing this worthless piece of trash.

    You'd do it. Why?

Because you'd get paid to do it.

Simple as that you worthless piece of trash.

Am I hurting your feelings worthless piece of trash? Sorry :violin:

  3. Am I the only one who doesn't see the point of a reunion but just wants the guys happy and supportive of their own projects? Eg Axl obviously on cool terms with Duff and mature enough to support his band through opening for new guns n roses?

Exactly. I hate those who constantly kiss Axl's ass and for whatever reason try to convince themselves that this new band is better than the old :rofl-lol: , but I also hate those who beg for reunion, it won't happen, NEVER. They just need to be cool with each other. The original members are gone forever and they're doing fuckin' great with their projects and Axl is trying to make this band more solid than it is now so thinking about reunion is really but REALLY pointless.

  4. Myles sounds like Myles should sound. Dude's got a great voice. If he doesn't sing it exactly like the album, that's tough luck for some, but he does a great job here.

    This.

And I take Myles' SCOM performance over Axl's anytime

Myles' version of SCOM is amazing. His voice is perfect for the song.

Definitely, Myles' version of SCOM is better than Axl but the rest I can't say the same, still Myles does what he has to do and he does a pretty decent job. Now, about riffs and solos, I won't debate that ;). SLASH HANDS DOWN.

These are GN'R songs. GN'R obviously should play them.

Btw: Slash and Miles playing GN'R sucks a lot.

Can you explain why Slash and Myles suck a lot? Myles might not be the best fit to cover Axl Rose (but who is?). Slash sounds more Gn'R playing those old songs than the hired hands. I don't think you're trying to say the opposite :).

Guns n' Roses vs. Slash and Miles

Better singer = Axl by a huge margin

Better lead guitar = debatable, I think Ron is better than Slash at everything he does, but some people don't.

Better rest of the band. Guns n' Roses. Not even questionable. The "hired hands" are more talented by almost as huge of a margin as Axl beats Miles.

    Any other questions?

Thank you for making me laugh.

  8. 3 minute clip here- http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/axl-rose-interviewed-on-that-metal-show-20111109

Eddie- "When I asked him about a new record he (Axl) just said, 'I'd love to at some point, we'll see.'"

I remember an interview with Slash from back in the day, when he was asked about releasing a new album, he said: "It's Guns N' Roses man, when it's done it's done". So I believe that's gonna apply to present too :)

  9. the new lineup deserves respect.

Yes, this new band is fucking amazing.

Maybe Axl will do what Kiss did for awhile. When the tour ends, and Slash and Duff are available maybe they'll do a few dates with the original lineup. It worked for Kiss for awhile and then they realized the newer members were better since Ace still was drinking or drugging or whatever and Peter CRiss too.

It would be cool to see the original GNR members, but after seeing the new GNR, it's not a priority for me anymore.

It would be cool to see all of them accept the Hall of Fame induction and play a song or two, but it's all up to them. I will respect anything they decide to do.

The best thing about the interview - all the stuff about Slash :D

    Dude you suck! lol

Yeah, at this point thinking about Reunion is stupid IMO. The new band is not my favorite and it will never be (because I'm an old fan) but I think they're doing great, they just became a pretty solid band so there's no point to be throwing that out for Slash and Duff or whatever. I just want Axl and Slash to get along, that's all for me. I won't be seeing Guns N' Roses as the most dangerous band in the world but it's not their fault. Axl is doing great, Slash is doing great so I don't care about reunion. I'm very thankful for what they did in the past, but it's over now, it's fuckin' 2011 lol.

  10. He did before London.

    Don't be ignorant.

    He didn't before London. :fuckyou:

Thanks for proving the point that you're ignorant ;)

Someone posted a video of Ron joining Duff onstage yet you use your trollview to state otherwise, bravo monsieur, bravo!

    He did before London.

I see you can't understand the irony in my comment (referring to the interview Duff made in 2009 where he was asked about ChiDem and only mentioned Axl the whole time). Don't cry niño, don't cry.

    He didn't before London.

  11. On the "late starts" segment, something came to mind about people lying, and the symptoms:

Unusual Body Language: Body movements and facial expressions are the best indicators of catching a lie. When a person is telling a lie his body language will slightly start changing. The person's body would soon get stiff because of the nervousness and his body movements will talk about his discomfort. There will be a change in his breathing pattern. Usually the breathing gets deeper and can get audible at times. There will be unusual and untimely postural shifts in his body. His actions will start looking defensive, with his shoulders pulled up and elbows more into sides.

Hand Movements: A person who is lying will have two types of hand movements. The first type is defensive in which palms are closed and fingers are tight. The second type is fidgety in which a person will fidget a lot with his hands while talking. He will be restless and will make too many hand movements that could be easily noticed.

Unusual Pauses: The speech of a liar will be full of unusual pauses. This happens because while a person is telling a lie he has to think of a story which he fakes as an answer to any given question. Thinking about a picture and making up a story takes time. Even an ace liar will take at least a few seconds to think of a story and tell a lie. So, watch out for unusual breaks in a liar's speech.

Slight Delay in Replying/Answering: The reason behind the slight delay in replying is same as that of unusual pauses. It also happens because a liar's sensory pattern slows down while telling a lie. On being asked a question about minute details, the person will tend to get defensive at first to avoid a delay in replying. He would then, take a little pause and continue telling a lie. One should be able to read between the lines, besides just observing the body language.

Now, the thing that I noticed the most was his hand movements whilst explaining everything. He also wasn't being direct about the reason why he starts late, he kind of talks around the situation and remains vague. If the whole interview is aired, and it is prooven that he only does this in specific parts in the interview such as this, I'm afraid he's lying (making up stuff).

I thought the same thing...his hand movements and stuff were really noticeable during that part of the interview. He also never really directly answered the question (I never really expected a clean cut answer of "this is why I'm late..." anyway) and made it more about why he was late on-stage in 1991 more than anything else. That still doesn't explain the other years of going on late. I did laugh at the end when he started talking about him always being late even as a kid hahaha.

BTW, I wish he would've ditched the shades for the interview. And every time he moves his hands it sounds like a cash register opening with his bracelets clanking together lol.

the guy gives an interview in a decade and u focus on his hand movements...that's the way he's always spoken...u want to know what he's saying and when he doesnt say exactly what u want to hear he's lying...so to me personally, ur no different than the TMZ reporters who after seeing the band live at the Rose Bar wrote about Axl sweating and not the concert.... but i get it in a way...sometimes the reality in ur head is more exciting than what's before ur eyes...it's just sad that that's sort of become the unofficial credo for Guns N' Roses vs. the public

Jesus, guy, RELAX. I never said he's lying, I said that his answer was pretty much what you could expect. He wasn't literally going to sit there and give a list of reasons why he's late onstage - I never expected him to. I go out of my way to defend Axl and the band all the time, so don't make it sound like I'm just somebody who looks to bash the guy over every single thing he does. I still said the interview was great and I've been looking forward to it ever since it was announced. Seriously, it's like if you say one thing that could be construed as negative towards Axl or the band you're gonna get your f'n head taken off by some people here.

And BTW...when you're giving your first interview in a decade, like you said, people are going to focus on everything. You're forgetting that for new fans of Guns (by "new" I mean teenagers/young adults who have only recently discovered old GN'R records within the last several years) this probably IS one of the first interviews they're seeing of Axl.

+1. I understood what you were trying to say. Making up excuses and not answering the question directly, well we knew he was going to do that. He will never explain why he's always late because it's Axl fuckin' Rose. OMG! Those cry babies.

  12. Good interview.

What did you think of the new lineup's performance?

I've seen various versions of GN'R since the original band broke up, some lineups better than others, but I was pleasantly surprised. Axl in particular sounded great. People always ask, "Was it as good as the original band?" No band is ever going to be as good as the original lineup. That shouldn't even a be part of the thought process.

That was diplomatic. All positive, no negatives. Reminds me of when Duff was asked about his thoughts on Chinese Democracy. All he said was, Axl sounded great. It was like Duff was never going to praise a hired hand :D

Do you think the Slash Vs. Axl Rose beef is repairable?

I do. I saw Slash a couple days ago in Los Angeles, where I was giving an award for Ronnie James Dio's cancer foundation, and we talked a little bit. He knew that I'd just interviewed Axl, and he asked about Axl and how he was. I said that Axl mentioned him in the interview, and that it wasn't anything negative. Slash said, "Yeah, we've actually been pretty cool lately."

    Cool.

The best part of the interview was reading:

‘I just heard Slash's next record, which is coming out next year. It's amazing.’

I can’t wait to hear it

Duff praised the "hired hands" tons of time after London.

    He didn't before London.

    He didn't before London.

The stuff about Slash is interesting...I don't know what he means by saying things between him and Axl have been cool recently considering they haven't talked in forever, but I hope it's true. It's very telling that Trunk thinks it's possible for the original lineup to get back together considering he just interviewed both Axl and Slash and probably got a better read on them than anyone else could.

Trunk wasn't asked whether or not the original lineup could get back together, he was asked whether the beef between Axl and Slash was repairable.

    Big difference.

I'd rather Axl and Slash just bury the hatchet - hatred blackens the heart. Even if they never play together again, it would be nice to know they're cool with each other.

Exactly. Reunion is NOT going to happen. But I'll be really happy and satisfied if they just can get along again. You know, some "I know we both said negative stuff about each other but let's get through this and clean this all up".

Knowing that Axl and Slash are communicating again, that they're cool with each other, would be all for me as an old Gn'R fan. Seeing both of them performing just one song together again, would be amazingly perfect.

  13. oh there was another clip too. Did not really understand what he was trying to say, my poor english maybe. a lot of hand thing going on though lol

In the first clip he was talkin' about the misconceptions made about him, thinking that he was a 'dictator' (for example). In the other one he just talkin' about the late starts and why that happens all the time.

I gotta agree with you in that one. I felt that he was lying too.

He said "Slash was pushing me". Question: Do you really think Axl is the kind of person you can really PUSH? I don't think so.

  16. Facepalm.

    We know.

They had Slash booked/done awhile ago.

They were never sure until they actually got Axl that they would get Axl.

They're kicking off the season with Axl. Hopefully big ratings (for a VH1 cable show).

    Facepalm feeevvvvveeeerrrrrrrr

    This.
