  1. Of course Slash cant play like Bumble and Bumble cant play like Slash (comes damn close though).

Everyone plays different. NEWSFLASH: Its not about how fast you play, its about string notes together that sound pleasant to the ear. Slash is very good at that.

All you Slash haters should realize that Axl is performing Slash's music night in and out and should at least show some respect.

  2. u][/quHave you seen Slash try and play these solos? How do you know he couldnt? Will you please post a link to Slash attempting and failing CD leads. Oh, you dont have one and were pulling shit out of you ass........ :rofl-lol:

  3. I think TWAT is a mediocre decent song, but nothing more. I think ALOT of the guitar solo praise comes from the fact that it is one of the few solos on CD that is similar to Slash (be real people). Its a good solo. No doubt. But IT IS NOT on the same level of November Rain, Estranged, SCOM, PC, ETC, ETC. I mean COME ON! REALLY?!! :rofl-lol: OMFG, Its a decent melodic solo on CD! Bucket and Robin are GUITAR GODS! Just because a solo is put together pretty decent and you can hum it, doesnt mean that it makes the song so EPIC.Axl pieced it together from various takes anyways, so Bucket and Robin didnt even play those series of notes that appear on the final cut.OFF: I can see Bucket's POV of wanting to leave. Axl Rose took his solo and chopped it, flipped it, and turned it out.Maybe Bucket felt like a bit of a prostituite, and skidadulled.

Slash couldn't even touch that solo. Be real man.

This. Not bashing Slash, Buckethead's nowhere near the man in terms of name and songwrirting but Slash hasn't come up with a solo anywhere near the TWAT solo since the UYI days.

Even if asked to play it note for note he couldn't do it.

There's a ton of great solos on Chinese Democracy. Madagascar, both Better solos, SOD, Catcher in the Rye, Sorry, If The World, This I Love, Shackler's Revenge. All different solos worthy of just as much praise as TWAT or any Slash solo. The only ones Slash can play are the ones DJ Ashba can barely play.

Yea Slash couldn't play TWAT but any teen with a guitar and a CD tab book can.....You keep believing that, buddy. :rofl-lol:

I agree that Slsh's work since UYI hasnt been completely up to the standards set previously, but to act like he cant play there was a time, when twinks on the youtube can, is laughable, along with your obvious bias.

  5. LOL....

What followup to CD? There isnt one.

At least libertat was released. Nothing any one of the former members release will hold a candle to OG GNRs music IMO.

So the real question is, will the hypathetical follow up to a CD that took 15 years and millions of dollars to make stand up to the OLD GNRs music.

Because in the end, thats Axls mission, alll along: To out do the GNR lineup with Slash. Lets be real here and stop living in fairytale land.

Popcorn, I really hope that you can have your day in the sun, and get back at all of those mean ol Slash heads! :rofl-lol:

It will happen buddy! You just keep believin' :D

  6. I think tht these guys need to stop talking shit.

    What shit, you ask?!

Well, this whole DJ saying there will be a surprise at a certain show . The whole lay some tracks one Facebook, soon is the word, Axl has some great stuff lying around, somehthing you haven't had yet, get the new record out in the fall, better video, soon shit.

This band is bad ass live . I won't take that from them but IT IS HIGH TIME they DELIVER THE GOODS.

  7. They need to quit fucking around w the fans. Those facebook posts , do nothing but end up disapointing the hardcore fans. Its high time that this band (Axl) actually deliver some new music rather than fucking pussy footing around posting cryptic messages. IT IS NOT FUNNY OR COOL AXL, but your music is what people want. IMO, even alot of the hardcore Axl fans are sick and tired of WAITING FOR FUCKING EVER FOR just some shitty looped (prolly fake) clip to arise. Look at how everyone is pissing their pants over that one little clip. We are STARVED for anything new, and it just never happens.

    -The Butthurt Hand LOL

  8. I would pay to see the 2012 lineup over the 90's lineup anyday. They play the songs better live than the so called original lineup ever did. With the new lineup I don't have to watch the lead guitarist stumble around like a stoner and a bassist that is so drunk he could sweat and get everyone in the stadium plastered. Sorry. But THIS IS GNR. Wake up. It's 2012. Adapt or fade away...

Stopped reading after "so called original lineup" . Butthurt Axlite detected. :xmasschef2:

    .

Wow. Well there is yet another reason to release some new music featuring bumble and richie. Then they can at least make more money than now...?

Which leads to the question, how are the royalties split between the new lineup? I'm sure that fortus and bumble get mailbox money for Chinese democracy? And not to mention the live shows. Something doesn't add up. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  9. I am diagnosed bipolar but I don't agree with the diagnoses, and meds that come with that. They never did anything to me. Also, I haven't had any ups or downs in 4 or 5 years. I think , for me, it is situational, not biological.

I mean, it is they environment around me and the way that makes me feel tht deter is whether I'm on top of the world or stuck to the bed. The highs and lows are not from a lack or overload of seretonin, they are a direct result o my mood. Other people's case may be more extreme or different but that is how I feel about my situation. Bipolar diagnosis is thrown around like no tomorrow for profits within the medical industry and control.

Again Im not taking away from anyone else's diagnosis , I am only speaking about mine.

I totally agree with the previous poster who told his story and also thank him for giving his perspective on such a sensitive subject.

I think Axl Rose defenatley exhibits classic symptoms of bipolar, but for me , theres so much if a grey area that it's hard to discuss in absolutes. But im glad if that medicine they pedal works for some people, it just didn't work for me , or according to himself , Axl, for that matter.

It's way to complex to even discuss really, without knowing him personally and how high or low he gets. I just dint like the labels.

  10. Here's my problem with bipolar and similar conditions. It's considered a medical condition but you cannot medically prove someone is bipolar.

I think some people's emotions effect them alot more than others, and in axls case, add in alittle OCD,'and that person will display the traits thAt a typical " bipolar" person exhibits, and consequently be labeled that.

It cooukd b just a lack o natural lithium in the body that can be easily resolved.

Some people's highs are higher and there lows are lower. When they are mad and upset they lash out and can be very offensive to some. When they are sad and down on themselves they disaaperar sometimes for years . The minds of people like this obsess over the thoughts in their own mind so much that sometimes their thoughts become a reality becaus they keep repeating certain things in their mind............

    Hear the words of Scraped.......

  11. I know that the bipolar thing is a touchy subject but I feel axls mental problems play a big role in all of his problems of yesterday and today. The problem is, there us no test to tell if someone is bipolar. I don't think axl is necessarily by polar but more OCD like Marc mentioned. His obsessions with slash affect alot according to Marc. It also sounded like to me this STILL is a very big problem. At this point, I don't want a reunion, I just want axl to be in good spirits and do his thang. But it does seem that axl is in much better spirits lately, so maybe he has started to move past this obsessive behavior in regards to slash, "perfecting" his creations. I don't necessarily think that his obsession is all about slash. I think he obsessed over music, the media, past members versions of the truth, the band, the forums. Etc.

It all makes for an interesting storyline to go with some great music , so rock on......

My band is about to rip this club apart tonight. Live your life, tht what really matters . What we do........ Take it all in friends.
