U mad bro? The situation has changed a little bit over the years, and the meanings behind Axl's words have been relentlessly misinterpreted since One in a Million and before. What exactly does he mean when he says cancer, what's the meaning he's thinking about inside? The way the world interpreted it was basically one step short of n****r, that harsh, that much hatred behind it. Was he really feeling that? Or did he just feel that Slash had to be removed in order to save Guns N' Roses, and tried to use cancer as a metaphor that ended up backfiring on him?

Anyone claiming they would be wetting themselves seeing Axl on stage with Slash/Izzy/Duff and Adler doing a song is kidding themselves.

Axl can't do it though, because it wouldn't be awesome, and produce enough energy to light a small city. It would seem like home again seeing Slash/Izzy/Duff on stage with him again, and it would sound and look like GNR always should have.

Axl can't take that step because a one off doesn't work when the world is reminded again visually of what GNR really is and sounds like after all this time.

How do you play a few songs and tear the house down with Izzy/Slash/Duff as GNR at the Rock hall induction and then go back to the real world trying to tell people DJ Ashba is GNR? It would be ridiculous, which is why it can't happen.

People seriously underestimate how awesome seeing them on the same stage would be, and to find out they still sound amazing together......it would change everything whether it is what they wanted or not. At least now it is so far removed it seems like another life time ago.

If you bring that monster back from the dead, you can't just turn it off again when there will be a public clamoring for more of the genuine article.

Axl will never share a stage with Slash. Axl has given up way too much to turn back now, and he has defintivily stated that he would never even be in the same room as Slash unless by ambush . And he stated that would not be pretty. This isnt about being adults or whatever else, it is deeply personal for Axl and everybody here who loves him knows in their hearts that Axl just aint gonna do it, under any circumstance. Axl has also stated that the RNRHOF is more for the fans and he doesnt really get it. Steven will be there with bells on for sure. My hope is original line up minus Axl playing two songs, and that is a best case scenario. And any talk of current GNR members is absurd on every level. Some of you people here live in a real fucking fantasy world.

The real question and the most realistic one is who will induct the band. My guess would be Brian May.

Axl (he probably won't go), Izzy (he probably won't go), $la$h (he will go), Duff (he will go), Steven (he will go), Matt (he will go), Dizzy (he will go), Gilby (he will go), Brain, Frank (more Frank than Brain because he toured more with the band), Chris, Tommy (he's been in the band longer than Duff, he's played and composed on Chinese democracy), Bumblefoot (he played on Chinese democracy and has toured with the band since 2006), Richard (he hasn't written for the band but he's played on Chinese democracy and he's been in the band since a long time and has toured with it since), Robin (he has written for the band, has toured with it, but he quit it and it didn't make Axl happy), Buckethead (he has written for the band and toured with it, but he quit the band and it didn't make Axl happy too) and DJ (OK, he hasn't written anything on Chinese democracy and hasn't playeyd on it, but I like the guy and he has toured since 2009).

So, two old songs with the original line-up except Axl, I don't want to see him playing with $la$h. And since Izzy probably won't be there, maybe no old song, or two old songs with two replacements for Axl and Izzy.

And two new songs (Chinese democracy and Sorry would be cool) with the actual band.

Oh god damn it we've already been through this like 10 times. Nu Guns guys Paul and Gilby onwards should get an honorable mention and an invite to be there, but its the original band plus Matt and Dizzy who should be inducted. And fuck, I know a lot of people are bigger fans of the new band than the old, I myself...kind of am, but what makes you think they should be getting top billing in the induction?
