My husband and I bought a house last summer. We have a beautiful backyard. On one side is a pristine, white, vinyl fence. On the other is an old, warped, wooden fence. I was told that the ugly fence was put on our property by the former owner of the neighbor's house. Today, we had a survey done and the ugly ass fence is indeed on our property. I spoke to my neighbor, explaining that we wanted to put up a new fence and that "her" fence was on our property. I also explained that we were prepared to pay for the new fence and wouldn't be asking her to contribute. She rather vehemently told me that the fence was on her property and they had a survey done years ago. I doubt this very much since she would never pay for a survey. I don't want this to get out of hand or unpleasant, as the new fence would look nicer on both my property and on hers. She, however, seems to be completely against it. I could be an asshole and just say "Well, tough shit, this ugly old fence is on my property and I'm replacing it." but I am trying to be nice. I have to live next to them, after all. I suppose I could just wait for the plot plans to come from the surveyor and basically just hire a contractor to put a new fence in but since she says it's her fence, I am concerned about the legal bullshit that could possibly come from any damage "her" fence could sustain while being removed. Anyone have any advice? Bueller? Bueller?

Meanwhile, Axl sits on the floor in the corner, clutching a beat up copy paper box marked "The Vault", all while squealing "My Preciousssssssss"....

it says head voice, falsetto is in head voiceIf this is a supposed article explaining the change in Axl's voice and it doesn't contain the word "falsetto", it's garbage.
Not entirely true. Head voice is just the arching of the soft palate and pushing your focal point up to resonate in the mask. Falsetto is a different technique.

The lack of passable English made me raise a brow. The only technique mentioned (and ad nauseum, at that) is "drive". His execution of "attack on the glottis" was phenomenal and nary a mention. I call shenanigans.

I'm a "licensed wench" in the International Wenches Guild. Basically, strap myself into full garb, a corset with 1/2" steel boning and sing bawdy/suggestive pub songs at Ren faires. I used to work with horses but my knees are shit now. I love to read, garden, and I'm a badass cook. I also like DIY projects. I'm handy with power tools and like to do home improvements.

1) Don't Cry (Alt. Lyrics)
The End.
FTFY
Based on the bridge alone, I've always preferred the alternate lyrics by a country mile.
Me too. It just puts it right over the top.

During the intro, someone in chat (maybe 'cardi?) said "I wish Duff would just kick him right off the front of the stage. " I laughed my ass off. Mad props to BBF for killing it and I adore Fortus but last night... *sigh*...he was amazing.

I have mixed feelings about last night's performance. Was it everything I hoped for? No. But there were a few moments that had me hooked. I was in the chat last night with 40+ other people and regardless of how he sounded, we were all sharing the excitement, the anticipation, the highs and lows. Some people had me laughing my ass off in between crashing the boards and the chat. For anyone who didn't watch it - you can rag on Axl all you want, with the exception of a decent performance by Joan Jett, Axl was the highlight of the night. We had guys who grunted and screamed out unintelligible lyrics, we had guys who played shit, predictable licks, we had a ridiculous chick in a fantasy Star Trek Viking outfit that clearly thought she was fucking amazing, we had a guy who sounded like he was birthing a piglet on stage, or as one chat member said "being embuggered with a pineapple". Axl was honestly one of the best performances of the night. The excitement and thrill in the chat was palpable. After watching 4 hours of utter shit, Joan Jett was cool until she decided to give Cindy Lou Who a second whack at I Hate Myself for Loving You. And then...it was Axl. He could have taken a shit into a kazoo and been more musical than the previous 4 hours worth of idiocy. So, it was fun. The way the chat kind of exploded when DJ did the out of tune SCOM intro....and the subsequent revival of the song by Bumble in an epic performance. Fortus owned NR. And then the feed cut out and the chat was a wall of "WTF?"s from everybody. It was an epic night and even though I was dead tired, it was worth it. And Dana, our loud n proud rep singing his heart out - God love him!

I like the texture of her voice but I'm not impressed with the songs. Where, oh where, is HaleStorm when you need them.
Property line issues

I thought about that but her fence is already encroaching on my property so I would lose even more putting a new fence up. Also, the prior owners have extensive landscaping including huge rose bushes I would have to rip out. I don't see what her issue is, after all, a new fence would make her proprlerty look less like a city dump....
