ITW for the song but yeah Madagascar/SOD/IRS would be more GNR.

I don't think it would be more GnR in a sense that those songs were played heavily back in 2006 and such and yes they'd mostly feel like home again, but in fact they're quite old, mid-tempo daddys rock.

It'd be refreshing to hear If The World/Riad/I.R.S./Prostitute. It'd feel like a whole new summer again.

I don't have an opinion on the matter as I don't listen to them with, our without Slash playing.

I do believe had the music been created by even the current line up it would have been a better end product. I find CD unlistenable & I have tried several times.

All I'm saying is I think SOD is the bones of a good Guns song, though it needs work.

    All right.

Axl wanted a wall of guitars on Chinese which is very different to what we used to hear, so yes it's kinda hard to know who's playing what as opposed to let's say Slash very loud in the middle and right and Richard on the left. But I like it too, I think the isolated tracks helped me to appreciate it more.

I'm fine with SOD, I liked the fast tempo version better though. Should have been more of a rocker than a power ballad though.

I'm going to re-word the question....

"Which of these shitty songs has the potential to be gutted & rebuilt in the likeness of a real GnR song with Slash".

The 'Slash makes the shitty Chinese songs so much better' is a myth. There's a few changes with Better (intro-bridge) and I don't think I like it more that it originally was, nor that it sounds more GnR to a certain degree.

But overall Chinese Democracy, This I Love, Sorry, Catcher In The Rye or There Was A Time remain quite the same. Some I like a bit more, some not. Of course, the show is louder and visually very appealing.

It's still pathetic dude. Idk what else to say

Well you're probably not a twitter user, but at the time it was one of the most shared info of the shooting. A lot were talking about that, even journalists. So I was just sharing. It seems true as CNN earns the title of least trusted cable news.  But yes thank you we all know, you're kinda too late in the game.

Why do you resort to grabbing desperately at the first and most pathetically shallow links and sources just to give yourself comfort in your own opinions? That's either really sad, or really irresponsible dude.

    lol

  7. I just hope they stay away from the CD's vault as much as possible. I think what Slash & Duff did with Better was a travesty. It's almost like they don't get what was really the band at that time when Slash is about to shred when playing Robin's lead and stuff.

"Some of the stuff Slash did that was the beginning of the seed of the song that's been around for a while." Richard Fortus in 2014

There must be like a good amounts of song from the '96 left, probably the track that was originally for the Jackie Chan movie etc. but I don't think Axl, Slash and Duff can get along in studio with new stuff. Both always record spontaneously but Axl simply don't.

Here's another part of the interview that I find very interesting:

    Quote

"DJ [Ashba, GUNS N' ROSES guitarist] and I have worked on stuff… Nobody's worked on stuff with Ron ['Bumblefoot' Thal, GUNS N' ROSES guitarist].

"There's so much stuff that's recorded, there's so much stuff that was done. I mean, there's three albums' worth of material, easy…

"I know this week he's [GUNS N' ROSES singer Axl Rose] recording a lot of stuff, vocally.

"That camp is very… I don't know why. It's just that they're very… Axl is very secretive. He doesn't want stuff getting out. He wants to create stuff and then release it when it's ready. Which I… I get it. He's also a bit of a perfectionist, as you can imagine.

"The way [Axl] generally works is that he doesn't wanna take an idea that DJ sent and… What he'll do is he'll take a little piece that I sent, he'll take a little piece that DJ sent on another track, and he's always done that. Back even with the 'Appetite [For Destruction]' stuff, he would take a little bit from this, a little bit from that, and then put it together. And when you listen to it, you can sort of hear it. When you listen to the tracks, you can hear that it's… Especially on 'Illusions' [the 'Use Your Illusion' albums], the opuses, [where] he took little bits from different people and put them together. He's got a real talent for that."
