Holy Grail(s)?
That's easy:
- unknown footage and audio from Marc Canter
- any unknown 1987-1989 Proshot
- all UYI Proshots we dont have
- any 1985-1994 vocal demo we dont have.- 1

IN MY OPINION who watched and listen Tokyo DVD and MP3 (converts from DVD) a thousand time because i hadn't YouTube, Live Era or Bootlegs back in day, i say these 5 tracks sounds a little more clearer than the DVD. I'm not talking about the volume, which was low on DVD and high on the 5 bonus tracks, no I'm talking about the dynamics between the instruments are little bit more clearer. It still has a dull effect and sounds the same for the first time. It's not a HUGE improvement, its minimal!
I prefer the new mix because the DVD volume is low and if you convert it with higher dB, it will cause clipping.
But I'm 99% sure, the songs are not direct ports from the DVD
the picture is very bad. Both tracks are Live And Let Die. Above is New Track vs DVD track in original volume (in full!) and underneath is New Track vs DVD track volume normalized (ony one part). The New Track shows more highs than the DVD version. I listen it again and changed the normalized tracks consecutively several times and for me the New Tracks are less dull than the DVD tracks.
Can you compare to the Laserdisc rip from Tokyo92? It's around, actually i think i know very well who transfered it ;-)

Even the non.film live shows will look nice on standard definition Blu-Ray. Quality would be much better than from the leaked Proshots (Indiana'91, St. Louis'91, Oklahoma'92, Chicago'92, Saskatoon'93). Just look at the live scenes from the official LALD and Dead Horse videos, that'd be the quality to expect (assuming those scenes werent shot on 35mm film but video). They have 192 UYI shows,

COMA / Live Era most likely is from the on-the-fly mix from the mixing desk, like a DAT recording. No multitrack recordings remixed. That's why it sounds thin compared to the other studio/multitrack sourced songs from Live Era. I would imagine that about all not multitrack recorded UYI shows would sound like Coma from Live Era.

YCBM / Ritz 1991-05-16
Axl vocal lines right after the Slash solo (he changes the last part a bit):
"While you're breakin' down my back
And I been rackin' out my brain
Don't matter how we make it, it always end the same
You can push it for more mileage
Your flaps are wearin' thin
Sleep on it till morning, but this nightmare never ends
Forget to call my lawyers with ridiciulous demands
Couch trips getting older
Tell me how long has it been
Five years is forever, you haven'r grown up yet
And all you're doing baby the past is nothing yet"

So, let's talk about audio quality from this new "EP".......
- all 4 tracks are in stereo finally
- the loudness war reached Guns big time resulting in BAD quality. All 4 tracks are compressed a lot - being hard limited and normalized too much, so there are kinda no dynamics in loudness (see pics attached)
- the "Loudness War" is being most prominent in the studio tracks, the live tracks aint compressed that much like the studio tracks, but still they are and so they're also no good quality in terms of audiophile speaking
- 3 of 4 tracks are even clipping (= being louder than 0 db), just "Absurd" isnt- 5

Those aint new songs, absolutely nothing unheard! For those 2 songs we've heard about 80-90% of their main structure and more than 95% of their lyrics and vocal lines of them for ages.

From my experience i would avoid to do an (theoretical) unneeded first transfer from ~30 years old tapes before doing the best one. It could ruin the tapes during playback!
I get the point from you though.....- 4

Don't trust so called "professional companies". They're doing it just for money, not for the love of the band.
Hope this all will turn out as described!
Peace out!

Marc over played his hand awhile back during the release of Reckless road. He should have either released it in 1990 or during the locked and loaded set.
You might have never been allowed to see it, so get over your strategical mastermind releasing theories. He is in fact releasing it NOW, enjoy!!

Yup! Time is running out for our guys,, there always is the risk of them not being around for much longer. So get what you can get - which is mainly 2-3 good songs from Axl vocally each show and a very few setlist surprises here and there . Add the enjoyment of a live show and its surroundings and you can have a great night. But if they wont be able to offer more surprises (god forbid (good!) new songs!) and go on with the same/similar NITL shows they're doing since 4/2016....there isnt much motivation for die hards to see more shows. Good move for us is to watch and check the upcoming US tour on youtube and fan recordings closely and decide if this is worth the time, money and nerves to do multiple shows at all.

I wish there was one video out of the bunch that I could share on Social media to show people that these guys are still bad ass and can kick ass.. Out of all those videos, there really wasn't one..

And what would we get with shorter shows? Shorter shows with Mickey!! Not really a win situation for us.

Using the official RS store, the 6 disc set costs 49,99 € + about 5 € shipping within Germany. The Code from troccoli didint work though.

There might be coming something like this very soon - not officially though.

Highly unlikely that we'll get ANY non-Slash/Duff stuff over the next few years. They both most likely "have" to cash in from any near future release.
Yes, we've got Ritz91, but NOTHING official in live video shows from 1985-1990....so any unseen/unheard(!) Proshot and/or Marc Canter's vaults would be very enjoyable. For AFD 40th anniversary in 2027 a compilation from Canter's ca. 50 audio recordings and ca. 30 video recordings could turn into a great compilation from the early years. Add unheard demos from AFD we havent heard about. We didnt get any live stuff like that from the 30 anniversary LN'L release in 2018.
Axl would have to make peace with Marc first though.
Chicago92? Come on, we have this for over 30 years by now, all watched to death, what's the point?
If smth. from UYI should be up, it'd be cool to have some die hards getting involved and letting them pick selected shows WE know that WE dont have any audio/video from. Casue Guns hardly know what we do have or want. Or do a compilation from rare tracks from several UYI shows. A release like Flight666/Maiden did would be an cool option aswell, just add the "Perfect Crime" documantary and gold is out.
